So I saw an interview with the producer of the show and basically they are creating their own stories. The are creating new narratives/characters while using the books/games more for inspiration, and sometimes devoting whole episodes or loosly basing seasons on them. You have to almost let go of the knowledge of how the books or games progressed, at least for me. She also mentioned the the use of Eskel to kill off as the leshen was because it had to mean something to Geralt, and Eskel meant a lot. Also they wanted the audience to feel something. Having a nameless witcher in the background die, wouldnt have mattered enough to those having no knowledge of the books/games. I loved the reaction and I cant wait for the next episodes. I hope you all had a great holiday!

yeaaah that makes sense.. i guess what im most hung up on with Eskel is that if the intention is to have general audience care about the death of a witcher, they could've just invented one for an already invented plot line. "this is witcher bob, best friend of geralts". non readers/gamers wouldnt know the difference, and readers/gamers wouldnt be sad about a witcher they know/love.

George I am not sure if you picked up on the voice, but the dock guard that Jaskier gets into an argument with is Alastair Parker, the voice actor who played Cleaver and others from Wild Hunt. Also, that was a Zeugl in the sewers.

So when's Simone playing 'Witcher 3'? I seem to recall games were part of the Binge :)
