I'm a "bit" late to the party, but I'm currently reading the Wheel of Time, love that you read that.

Felreign

I'm down to watch you guys watch Legend of Korra, especially season 3

brian mejia

i feel somewhat cheated not gonna lie

Rone Capes

Can't wait to see y'all watch Legend of Korra.

Kangdarius

Since I’m watching a couple other reactors watch it. Will y’all be watching legend of korra. I actually prefer it over this series.

Jonathan Guzman

super late to the party but I'm sad there is still no Legend of Korra reaction

Jenny Dahlqvist

Legend of Korra is great, and in some ways very different! It would be really interesting to see George's take especially since the world changes a lot in the years between the shows!

Funny story, the soundtrack for Azula and Zuko's agni kai is called "The last agni kai". Basically we're watching the end of this unique, beaautiful, barbaric, cruel, totalitarian cultural expression. My opinion of Legend of Korra is that it's a disappointing follow up. It tries so hard to present a different main character that she practically inverts every character trait of Aang that makes him likable, so guess where that ends up. Where ATLA keeps moving in a wild unpredictable adventure, Korra stalls out and spends whole seasons in a single place. Where ATLA has outrageous action scenes with such gorgeous and creative fights where practically every move gets so much character, Korra's action seems more expensively animated and timid, as if trying to appeal to a mass audience, worried about looking too bold. Lots of samey bending team sport games. Where ATLA has things to say about power and responsibility and forgiveness and rebellion and trauma and friendship, Korra has mostly teen drama. And the show leans a lot on callbacks to ATLA, trusting the audience will take a reference as if it was a joke. And I didn't find the supporting characters nearly as engaging, but that may be a matter of taste. If you really, really like ATLA it may be worth watching just to get more of the worldbuilding, but that's it. Definitely give it a year or two if you have just watched ATLA, to dull any expectations. Though that's already taken care of by now.

I'm still hoping that they react to Legend of Korra. I really liked the show and I think they will too.

Ember Island Players is personally one of my favourites of the whole show, and IMO the best way to do a recap episode while also setting the expectations for the finale. It's brilliantly done.

Jordan Barnes

I know this is years old but omg y’all not remembering the whole Day of Black Sun episode where Aang announces he’s back and Zuko tells the firelord he’s alive, which would have been common knowledge from then on, made me SCREAM. Simone I love you so much.

Jordan Barnes

Simone the FN soldiers were about to commit GENOCIDE, it doesn’t matter how “nice” they were, I’m appalled.

Dojee

still can't believe George called the chakra unblock through pressure thing like two weeks ago lol great journey:)

Jenny Tolls

Please watch Korra next!!

Nate muwah

cannnnnot wait for Korra now

Cinebinge

yeah haha its actually a very common trope in Chinese Wuxia tv shows. where a characters Chi-gong gets blocked through pressure point attacks, and can only be unblocked by hitting the same spots again.

WulfricsGong

Loved your reactions and hope to see you continue with Korra. I would recommend to watch the 30min mini-documentary of the creation of Avatar The Last Airbender called "Avatar Spirits" on YouTube. It's a really cool tribute and shows how important the show was to the creators and crew.

Nate Terry

had fun watching this with you guys.

hurryupmode

The story of Team Avatar continues in the graphic novels! Like Zuko's Mother storyline.

Craig Brennan

I do have a recommendation besides Legend of Korra for you guys to watch is Fishigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play. It is 2 season 52 episodes total. The story is one big story from one episode into the next with no filler episodes really however with how you 2 enjoyed Avatar: The Last Airbender you will enjoy this series.

ajanim

i just joined the patreon and im curious, did you guys have reactions to book 1 here at any point? is there anywhere i could still see them?

Cinebinge

Hi ajanim, thank you for your support! we did have book 1 done for over half a year but about 2 weeks ago YT took down a whole bunch of our videos. over 2 dozen which included for some reason book 1 of ATLA. we are sitll waiting to hear an actual answer from YT. so far we've recieved canned messages of "pending investigation". hopefully we can recover them.

iOmegaTron

George, I'm eagerly waiting to see that Toph tattoo!

There was actually a confirmed death though (aside from Aang who died but was brought back). General - later promoted to Admiral - Zhou, the guy who killed the moon. He died and unlike the moon girl there were no fancy outs for him.
