Rumble in the Bronx, or as we used to jokingly refer to it, Rumble in Vancouver.

Venus

This is also a christ tucker film. This was a very important film for the black and asian american community

David Lonewolf Wright

The blond villain plays a very unexpected roll in this great rom-com called Keeping the Faith I think you guys would enjoy. It stars Ben Stiller and Edward Norton.

Diiirk706

SO FREAKING HYPED FOR DIS!!!!

Monica Alarcon

Oh you're on!! I haven't seen this since it came out. Now I know how I'm spending my afternoon.

Zach Greenleaf

Awesome! You guys must watch and react to The Lethal Weapon films. They are the gold standard of buddy cop movies. They are the perfect combination of emotion, comedy, and action!

Karin Baggie

The video freezes from 1:07:13 all the way to the end :/

King_Panarisi

Eik104

The Inedible Mattman!

haha I got 44 minutes and 16 seconds in before you posted this. Everything is paused until I can continue the journey! :) Loving the reaction so far! Also, Simone wins for the funniest joke I've heard from a reactor in the past year and a half. (8am or 6pm)

Diiirk706

was about to complain, just paused e erything literally now, to complain, but fixed I guess

Rumble in the Bronx? Who Am I? Mr Nice Guy? Police Story? A Police Story 2? Twin Dragons? First Strike?

Kristopher Chavez

This has nothing to do with the movie but I have to ask, have you seen The Legend of Vox Machina yet?

The Inedible Mattman!

My favorite stunt I ever saw Jackie do was while fighting someone in a movie he turned the guy into a wheelbarrow. Like, that's what it's like to fight Jackie Chan. haha

This movie took a while to grow on me as I didn't really like Chris Tucker in the Fifth Element but this watch along just flew by. Side note, George talking about the bad translations from Chinese into English reminded me of the time I watched City Hunter (another Jackie Chan classic) with a friend of mine. I prefer watching with subtitles, he preferred the English dubbing so we compromised and watched it with both. It was the most surreal movie experience of my life, it was like we were watching two different movies

Great choice - I own all 3 Rush Hour movies - I think you would also like Now You See Me another good movie with a good cast too

Loved this movie when it came out. Haven't felt the urge to watch it ever since learning about Brett Ratner's (alleged-but-probably-true) past. But I did enjoy this movie, along with Jackie's other U.S. follow up, Shanghai Noon. One anecdote I have about this movie in particular: when they call their female bomb squad lady (seriously, it's been 20 years since I've seen this movie so I don't remember names) and she picks up the phone, the phone makes a series of beeps. One quick beep, and then two other deeper beeps. My room mates and I, who all went to the theater together to see this, had that exact same phone model. And we knew those beeps well. Those two beeps were error beeps, and it meant the phone wasn't going to work until you resolved it. So the three of us busted up laughing at that particular moment, which was not humorous to anyone else in the theater. But we knew that there was nobody on the other end of that call. Of course in movies there never is, but that illusion was handily shattered for us.

Rumble in the Bronx! Rumble in the Bronx! Another poster already mentioned Police story 1&2, but also Police Story 3, aka Supercop.

If you want another Jackie Chan movie that's a lot of fun to watch and is a perfect blend of over the top cheese, action, comedy, and Jackie Chan epicness with stunts, please react to The Medalion. I think Simone would love it, and Goerge, if you haven't seen it, I'm sure you'd get a kick out of it. This reaction was so much fun to watch. Love Jackie. I hear he's super nice, too, to the point of ridiculousness. I wonder if, in the scene where Jackie is hanging off that rafter for so long, there were parts where he was standing on something, like a crane that was elevated up to where he was. He was holding on for a super long time, and sometimes they shot him from the waist up, so with some simple editing, he could look like he was really hanging. Sometimes, he would have had to have been hanging for real, to give the illusion of weight. But he might have had a net under him when it had to look like there was weight to him. Also, he must have some crazy upper and lower body strength to hold the weight of a fully grown man, and himself, up like that. Again, they probably assisted him at points, and had a net when he wasn't standing on something, but there were at least two shots where it looked so real he must really have hung there. The man's insane, but in the most wonderful way possible.

Wow! I loved this movie so much when it first came out! I didn't manage to see it in theaters but I did watch it right after it was released on video. Definitely a funny movie!! Super enjoyed it. :) Both of your reactions were great, as well. Had me laughing a fair bit throughout. Thanks for doing this one! <3

Movie C4 will blow up when you look at it funny. Real life C4 is very stable, it needs a blasting cap to detonate. You can shoot at C4 or burn it and nothing should happen.

POSTALMNDCLARITY

Handcuff keys are mostly universal. Its a very simple mechanism.

POSTALMNDCLARITY

Man, I havent seen this since I was a kid! Thanks so much! Glad to see you both enjoyed it! Jackie Chan is a LEGEND!

Charles Davies

I love the Rush Hour movies, the 2nd is probably my favourite

khaliqtessi

It's probably already well-known, but the Jackie Chan Stunt Team is notoriously blacklisted by insurance companies.

Emily Gray

The 2nd one is AMAZING...make sure you stay for the bloopers in the credits.

If you want more great Jackie action, you really want to check out Dragons Forever, Police Story 3, and Wheels on Meals. Those are probably the most fun of his Hong Kong films; two of them (DF, WoM) feature the amazing Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao, the other (PS3) has a young Michelle Yeoh keeping up with Jackie every step of the way. (And don't @ me, but the English dubs on all three are pretty solid. Just sayin'.)

NotlobParrot

I finally watched Meals on Wheels during the Quar. SOOOOO good. Incredible stuff.
