Hanks wife is Rita Wilson... I wonder if he ever screams that out at home... 🔩🏐

Wilson was always my favourite. No matter what hardship was thrown at him, he never faltered.... ehhh I mean no matter what hardship he was thrown at :) I really like that you let the outtro get a bit longer. I'm often missing that a lot in the YouTube video (which is the ones I watch..... so I afterwards go to your Patreon versions for "extended cuts" of intro/outro. LOL)

David Crabtree

I'm glad they cast a real volleyball in the role of Wilson. Representation matters.

For you Simone, I would choose Canada. I don't even care about having to buy milk in fucking bags for the rest of my days. Anywho, good job as always guys. Tom Hanks is always awesome!

Fly Ωhms

Lmao 🤣 I meant that in Canada they sell milk in plastic bags instead of gallons, but I can see how that came out bad. Nevermind me guys, I'm high as hell.

If you two are in for more emotional and gut wrenching stuff from Tom Hanks then I suggest the movie: Philadelphia (1993). Tom Hanks got an Oscar for his lead role and there also was an Oscar for the original song "Streets of Philadelphia" by Bruce Springsteen. EDIT: I better warn you. You will need a box of tissues to dry your eyes, and Simone is gonna love Tom Hanks even more.

Benjerro

I second that. If you need more reasons...Denzel Washington and Antonio Banderas.

JG

They sell milk in BOTH cartons and bags in Canada. Bags are only sold in certain provinces and not nation-wide.

One of my favorite Tom Hanks movies is Catch Me If You Can (2002). It stars him and Leonardo DiCaprio. Its directed by Steven Spielberg.

Sisyphus

Good call ! I put Road to Perdition right along side Catch Me If You Can

Born in 1971 and raised in Minnesota, I was able to start a friction fire by the time I was 15...but it sucks. I can do it. The last time I did it was a couple of years ago to impress my son, who was 12 at the time. He's since learned how and done it once that I am aware of. Have I mentioned it sucks?? The only way the turning of the stick works is if you have a bow with a decent fiber string of some kind. You'll never get to flame directly, it's a matter of getting just the tip to a small ember and getting it to grow from there using very short burning fiber to light small kindling, which then lights small sticks...and so on. Just like Hanks does. I think everyone who sees this film for the first time starts out mocking what is going on. I think we're supposed to. And then, quite literally...BAM!!!!!!!!!! Life is completely different. So many moments in this one that never really go away in your mind. I'm with Simone. Looking that whale in the eye...damn...

In honor of this movie I'm gonna suggest Swiss Army Man (2016), it's also about a guy that gets stranded on an island, but it's a much different film! It's one of my favorite movies of all time, I love it! Fair warning though, it's insanely weird. Lol
