A lot of people think Part 3 is the lesser sequel but its my favourite. I like that they slow down after 2 and settle into an era like they did in the 50's. Whilst Part 2 is all twists and turns Part 3 is all pay offs. Maybe it needed one more subplot to make the story more dynamic? But there are so many incredible shots. They built 'Western Hill Valley' from scratch by a piece of rail line. There's a shot of Biff waiting outside the saloon where we have him in the foreground and the train puffing at the station in the background waiting to depart. Its such great visual storytelling. I also love how set ups are resolved in Part 3. Marty using the stove as armour is both a reference to Part 1 when Doc wore a bullet proof vest, and Part 2 where Marty saw the scene in a Western of Clint Eastwood doing the exact same thing! For me its such a fun tapestry of ideas

im guessing since marty is a teenager, he's a minor, and therefore a child. he gets menaced with guns and hanged...child endangerment. silly, but makes plenty of sense in their eyes

Simone you look so young they think you are being endangered

When Clara stops the train it's by pulling the emergency brake. Even these days many trains have an emergency brake in each wagon.

Wells Fargo is a Bank here in the US 😊

Not just the same name- It's the same corporation, 170 years later. Watch 'The Music Man' (1962) for more information on Wells Fargo.

I wonder if the child endangering thing is related to the weird scene where the kid in the background on the train points to his crotch and nods his head. It's one of those, "did you hear about..." Things so just spit balling what may have caused the issue.

The origin of Great Scott isn't quite clear but was used in the 19th ct. as a form of oath meant to replace saying Great God (which could be seen as taking the lords name in vain depending on the circumstance). Alternatively it could also serve as a reference to Sir Walter Scott the prolific novelist or Winfield Scott the American general.

Wait who is Natalie Sil...oh. Oh I get it.

Michael J Fox literally was momentarily hung in the scene at the courthouse. He almost died. Google it.
