Last weeks winner was Rambo: First Blood. We will be filming our reactions tonight and it should be ready for Patreon by Thursday. With this weeks poll we wanted to try something different and we pooled together all the non-Hollywood movies you've all suggested in the past!

Remember, you can vote for more than 1 film!

Comments

Roberto Abitua

Two of my favorite films are on this list, so, here's to hoping for The Raid and Pan's Labyrinth!

Wally Hartshorn

This poll is missing “Das Boot” and “La Femme Nikita”.

Eik104

Great poll! Going with Amélie and La vita è bella

Nick Sneddon

Amelie is one of the greatest films of all time so that got my vote - my favourite film of the last decade or so is Les Intouchables, its very rare insomuch as it's a perfect film. It gives you the same feeling as the end of Shawshank 👍🏻

Erik Lundmark

Amelié's my favorite movie of all time Hurray!

Markus Miettinen

Amelié all the way! What an awesome and a little bit different movie.

Daryl 👽

Definitely Pan’s Labyrinth. We need more Guillermo del Toro in this reaction business! 🤧

Mr. Writhms

May I suggest for any possible future foreign film poll: “City of the Lost Children” (1995) It’s a French sci-Fi/fantasy with a wonderfully bizarre story, including really great visual and practical effects. Any fans of “Pans Labyrinth” would appreciate this one.

JayF

Fair warning on Amélie. Check to be sure it can be streamed somewhere or people won't be able to watch with you. Cassie did it a couple of months ago and it wasn't available to stream.

Rasmus Kristensen

All great movies but Amelie might change your life.

Toc

From this list, "Amelie". Just wanted to put two more foreign films that are well-known and, like "Amelie", would get some views! "Run Lola Run" (1999) and the amazing "Das Boot" (1981). And I'll just throw in one classic movie about a man....and his dog: "Umberto D" (1955).

iOmegaTron

Holy crap, I lost count of how many times I watched Shaolin Soccer! Such a good movie!!

Logan Kerlee

How have neither of you watched Pan's Labyrinth before?! That's honestly so surprising to me.

Luis Torrefranca

I know The Raid won't win this, but definitely have it on a list to watch later.

QuiGon_Jim (Howe)

Can I suggest "The Wind that Shakes the Barley" for Paddy's day/week? A fantastic Irish film about Irish independence in the early 1900's.

wakka wakka

Pan's Labyrinth, because George and Simone haven't cried in a while. Yes, I'm a sadist, how are you?

sledge432

Another good one is Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner from 2001. It's a Canadian Inuit movie that other indigenous film makers often say is one of the best indigenous films made.

Jenny Tolls

I watched Life Is Beautiful when I was wayyy too young lol shit wrecked me

HeyHeyJK

If you want an amazingly beautiful and incredibly shot and directed sun-kissed visit to Paris with beautiful moments of whimsy and love, watch 'Amelie' (in my top ten favorite films of all time). If you want an incredibly shot and directed dark fantasy visit to the Spanish civil war, watch 'Pan's Labyrinth". Both amazing films, just very different in mood and viewing experience.

Daniel Horsman

Hey hey Simone and/or George :) Any word on Invincible and Witcher S1 making a reappearance?

Eik104

Cidade de Deus (2002) and La Haine (1995) would be nice in the future too

Anne Hummel

Amélie, Pan's Labyrinth and La Vita e Bella are all very distinct and wonderful movies. Amélie mostly lighthearted, the other 2 more dark / serious. But all SO amazing and a great experience to watch! ❤

David Crabtree

Technically, aren't all American films foreign films for you guys? 😁

Gary Trousdale

Did you already do Parasite and I missed it? Hero and House of Flying Daggers are also super good.

Nick Parker

Intouchables is one of the best foreign language films I've ever seen.(French) put that one on a list sometime, please

Patrick Evans

I hope you eventually get around to Life is Beautiful. We watched it in high school and I have never forgotten it.

JarHead0351

Apocalypto should be on your list and score high to watch - but sorry got to skip any of these movies on your list - I did happen to watch two (didn't like) on this list and not interested in the rest - catch you on another movie after this one -

Chris Jones

maybe do a sports movie poll after? For love of the Game is a great one

Michael_AP

Really looking forward to your reaction to First Blood 😁 This is destined to be a goooood one 🤩 and I can already imagine the thumbnail of Simone as Rambo LOL

E.P.B.F.

Okay my picks are: 1) Pans Labyrinth. It's a visually stunning movie shot in del Toro's idiosyncratic style. It's also a story that's bleak to the point of nihilism when you view it from an 'adult' observers perspective. Which is actually quite tonally appropriate for the time and place its set, even though the movie is clearly partisan. Both sides of the spanish civil war were _insane_ in their murderous spite and reason defying viciousness. 2) The Raid: Redemption. Pure, triple-distilled Adrenalin enema. Those fight scenes are simply nuts.

Kripke's Corner

If you guys ever do a Foreign TV shows, I personally recommend "DARK" Season 1 from Germany. One of the most brilliant/intelligent Sci-Fi/Time Travel shows I've seen. Has anyone else seen it? I think you guys would love it.

Craig D

you should add Red Cliff to your foreign films. the full length version.

Githerax

Do you have 'Megamind' on the list? I had an idea, btw, we did this on a Discord one time; posted a 'view only' google sheet with all the movies so we can check it before recommending something for the 100th time, could end up saving you some repetition. As if anyone would check first. I would. But.

overdev

they are all really good :D

Logan Kerlee

I'm stoked that Pan's Labyrinth is in the lead! It's a great film that they both will enjoy, I believe. :)

Trent Hill

Pan's Labyrinth is my favorite movie!

Kate Suhr

When you get a chance down the road I recommend Stripes starring Bill Murray. It's a really good and funny movie. Another movie that's interesting is Sideways with Paul Giamatti (I think is how his name is spelled).

Dustin Spear

For future foreign films I’d suggest Akira, memoir of a murderer, and brotherhood of the wolf

Kou Yang

I would like to suggest Along with the Gods, The Two Worlds. (Warning, very sad and you WILL cry. Be prepared)
