Since you guys liked this movie, there is another similar movie called Finding Forrester that you may enjoy as well.

ChickensAreRacist

Watching y’all’s reaction for the umpteenth time and feel bad for not admitting that this reaction is how we/me got hooked to you two.

Thoko

For sure. It makes more sense for a smart character to be referencing a well known phrase as his joke than to be making up something random

Ashton Lewis

I love that you both love this film. One of my favourites and I couldn't agree more when you say it's a perfect film. Not one second of it is wasted. A hilarious tidbit is that originally the movie was apparently supposed to be some kind of thriller, in which Will's character would end up running away from some intelligence agency, and somehow the film turned into pure poetry instead. RIP Robin Williams, our generations collective film dad

So hard to believe the boys wrote this when they were 18. I mean, sure, we know Williams contributed a certain amount to his character, but all the characters and their relationships and conflicts are so full of depth and nuance and it's all presented in such subtle, mature ways. No real villains, although Gerry's failing to consider other people can have attitudes towards and goals in life that are very different from his that are healthier for them makes it hard to like him, and Will and Sean each getting their own way at his expense is pretty well deserved.

I didn't even realize that I wanted to see you react to this movie until I saw the email notification... Great movie. And I'm sure your reaction will be amazing as always.

Foodassassin4life

Can we get an animated movie poll my recommendation is Storks or MegaMind

AC10

Ok... I can't help it... What are the specs on the new laptop man??? Indulge us please...

Cinebinge

definitely a potential in the future, will need to do a count to see if theres enough animated movies that at least one of us havent watched. but we definitely will include some in general polls.

Thanks for the reaction to Good Will Hunting. It has an amazing cast and script. Movies like this one take us to new places and emotions. I am happy you shared your experience watching this with us. As always, you two find a way to make a good movie even more enjoyable. You two are stars in your own right.

One of the best movies of the 90's and one of my all-time favorites, brilliant writing and acting. I think you would also enjoy checking out other similar great Robin Williams dramatic performances if you haven't already seen them. Dead Poets Society, Awakenings and Good Morning Vietnam.

Eik104

Great reaction :) Was nice watching this again after so long. As you will probably inevitably go on the Clerks -> Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back trip some day, you'll see there'll be references to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck movies like this one.

Michael Lynch

I'd like to request a movie. The Abyss. Freaking great movie. Plus it's a James Cameron movie so you know it will be great.

lespea

Also my favorite Boston movie ever is The Departed and I think would be a great reaction video (extremely different tone of movie)

Emrhys

Their accent is south Boston ..... the less than desirable side of town.

Danwise

The little guy is Casey Affleck, Ben's brother. He turns in an amazing performance in Manchester by the Sea that Damon wanted to act in, but produced instead.

A little FYI ....... most of this movie was filmed at the University of Toronto. There were some scenes in Boston but a good chunk was filmed in TO.

Robert 'Jemimus' Kloosterhuis

Yah the laughing at the farting joke was real, Williams improvised much of it. You can even see the camera on Matt Damon shake, cause the camera man was laughing so hard.

Andrew

Loved every minute of that reaction Robin Williams "Dead Poets Society (1989)" please 🙏 Thank you

TGrimace

Great reaction video! I forgot just how many tear-jerk moments there were in that movie. I'd like to put in a request for the movie Unbreakable And for the tv shows West World (AI and Anthony Hopkins!) and Breaking Bad. If you haven't seen them already, of course.

Mike Adams

Another great movie with Minnie Driver is Grosse Pointe Blank. Definitely worth a watch

Rob Parry

One more thing to mention in helping to make this movie so great is the awesome score by Danny Elfman and the soundtrack featuring Elliot Smith. It was cool to see that it looked like Simone was singing along at one point. Amazing how much a film's soundtrack\score can add to an already great film. Really enjoyed seeing how emotionally invested you 2 were in this film. Great reaction

Githerax

Has Simone seen 'An Ideal Husband'? Simone, you know what to do- *put it on the list*.

Mitchell Bowker

If you want to watch another great movie written by, and starring, Damon & Affleck, which was also Directed by Ridley Scott than go no further than THE LAST DUEL (2021) - also starring Adam Driver and Jodie Comer.

Jack Urmson

Another incredible dramatic movie that uses psychiatry as a method to develop characters is Ordinary People from 1980.

Paul Davey

I suppose of all the scores Danny Elman wrote that would be the most interesting to George, is that along with having done the music for Good Will Hunting and the Nightmare Before Christmas, he's also resonsible for the main theme for the Simpsons.

Logan Kerlee

You're telling me that neither of your have heard someone say "How do you like them apples?" xD That's really hard to believe. Anyway, this movie is phenomenal. I'm so glad that you both watched and enjoyed it. I first watched this back when I was a kid. I think that I first watched it when I was 12 or 13, 14 latest. Anyway though - it hits me a whole lot harder now than it did before. The emotional troubles and trauma that Will faced throughout were really touching and it still affects me today. Thank you for watching this one! :)

Logan Kerlee

Great suggestions! Didn't another reactor person do Unbreakable recently? I could've sworn.. then again - I may've just watched it recently because I enjoy the movie. :) West World was great for the first bits but it definitely begins to drag in the second season. I enjoyed the show though! :) Breaking Bad.. LOVE THAT SHOW! Holy crap, it's a great one. A bit long though - 62 episodes. Most all of them are great and the acting/story is top notch (for a strong majority of the show). Between the two shows, I'm siding with Breaking Bad. West World left a sour taste in my mouth that I can't shake.

Logan Kerlee

I didn't know about that! hahaha, wow. Williams was such a treasure. It's hard to believe that he's been gone for nearly 8 years now.

Anthony Perez

I agree with you about Simone never having heard it...unusual...but George was not raised here and he learned English in later years...I think 2008?

Anthony Perez

One of the scenes I love is when Wills friends first meet Skylar...they're at the bar and Ben Affleck is telling story. Watch Billy ( Cole Hauser)...it is amazing...you can see Billy has heard this story so many times and he is watching Morgan ...almost as if he is trying to stop Morgan from doing or saying something embarrassing. And later when they give Will the car for his birthday...the look Billy has is the look of a man who has built something and is proud of what he built. This is not the first time I have watched Good Will Hunting but seeing it through you guys eyes, especially Simone...is a joy. George, don't take offense but Simone reminds me of an old friend who is not around any longer. Reaction shows are interesting...we can all watch movies with others but reaction shows allow us to watch faces which is so amazing...thanx.

akira RK

yo- that's a great movie. One of the best on my list, for sure.

Charlie Keeler

New Patron, found you guys on YouTube. Love the film selections, not doing all the same that most do, I can appreciate that. On a side note, the band shirts Simone wears….they are 🔥. All amazing bands.

Charlie Keeler

Also lil tidbit Minnie Diver’s character Skylar, ended up marrying Lars Ulrich the drummer in Metallica they divorced but have 2 kids together

Jon B

I signed up just to watch this reaction! You guys should really check out Manchester by the Sea, I consider that a natural sequel to this movie, sort of how Will could have ended up if he didn't have such a great support system. The main actor is Casey, the guy in the back of the car. The movie is quite difficult to watch though, but so worth it!

Drew Acheson

Fun fact, the scene where Sean is telling Will about his wife farting was an improved scene by Robin Williams and if you watch carefully you can even see the camera shaking because the camera man is laughing so much. Also, Robin Williams adlibbed his last line "He stole my line."

Ken Schneyer

The phrase "How do you like them apples?" is much, much older than this film. :)
