Blade 2 rules! The Reavers were terrifying and Nomak is one of the best Marvel villains ever. Guillermo Del Toro did a great job.

I don't know about Blade lore, but the most interesting reason I've seen for "why don't vampires want to rule everything?" has to be "why would they *want* to?" If you think about it, most vampires would be hundreds or thousands of years old. Rulers getting murdered or overthrown, countless wars, etc. Why put themselves in that situation when they can just exist in the shadows where nothing really threatens their eternity?

I seriously doubt the new Blade could be anything like this one. Marvel is way to Disney'fied... sadly :( It's just glittery stuff that won't offend anyone. A move like Blade needs to show the evil side to be any good.

I remember my jaw dropping the first time I saw the blood rave scene... it's still such an amazing moment. I haven't seen it in a few years but subsequent viewings have not been as fun as all the flaws just become so much more glaring but I will always remember the first time I saw it so this movie still rates quite high for me. I enjoyed some of the sequels but will always roll my eyes at the casting of Donnie Yen and not giving him any decent action scenes to showcase his actual talent... I guess they didn't want to show up Wesley Snipes.

I really loved that movie. The 2nd and 3rd ones are ok, but they’re fun because they dive deeper into the lore. I can’t wait to see the MCU version, maybe we’ll see him in Moon Knight.

People are forgetting that Blade 3 was the catalyst for the MCU. After Ryan Reynolds gained 20lbs of muscle for the movie and got noticed by so many people, it became the standard practice for the MCU. But Christopher Reeves did the same thing for Superman. But I think the transformation of RR was way more noticeable since no one viewed him as "sexy" prior to Blade 3.

Now is a great time to mention Stephen Dorf. He’s the actor who said superhero movies were very bad cinema during Black Widow release. He was credited as a BLADE ‘star.’ But he’s a real life Cecil B Demented guy to me. True to life (now). Y’all should check out that weird John Waters movie. “Power to the people who PUNISH bad cinema!” (As he shoots a Honey Whitlock movie poster- Some Kind of Happiness).

Now that you have watched Blade, I pray that you watch "To Wong Foo", which also stars Wesley Snipes as one of three leads, I think you would appreciate the juxtaposition of Wesley Snipes' characters in both.
