Knowing other Films written by Claude Zidi, I would say that the premise: Secret Service agent discovers his wife has an affair - hilarity ensues, is very much Claude Zidi. And, by the way. I highly recommend "My new partner" and "Le diner des cons" as a showcase of Claude Zidi and also of Thierry Lhermite.

A bullet shot perfectly straight up would lose all momentum as a fired projectile and just be under terminal velocity as a falling object, and in previous experiments, would tumble on the way down, slowing down its speed. Unless its an extremely large bullet, it would only cause a bruise or welt. The odds of firing perfectly up is almost nonexistent, and a bullet maintaining any type of parabolic arc will retain more of its maximum velocity as a fired projectile. Thats why celebratory gun fire is so dangerous

Oh I love this movie! I’m sure you’ll get the comment a thousand times, but Jamie Lee Curtis did the helicopter stunt herself. It was her birthday and she wanted to do something amazing to remember for the rest of her life. Coincidentally, that’s also her character’s motivation in the movie.

The music in the beginning that Simone was asking about is the theme song to Mission Impossible. The jet at the end is called a Harrier Jump jet. It's real. Developed by the British in the 1950's.

“Do it doucement… Do it very slowly.” Lol Still the funniest scenes about a husband checking to see if his wife is cheating on him. Lol

Kron0n

Charlton Heston delivered the 10 Commandments. Also it's a Harrrier, it has VTOL. They can move like that.

Michael_AP

The jet is real. It's the AV-8B Harrier II. A US version for the US Marine Corps. The original plane was developed in UK as Matt mentions. The capabilities shown in the movie is real. It can hover, manoeuvre backwards, sideways, swivel and all kinds of things. Normally it takes off like an ordinary plane as it can't be fully loaded with arms when taking off vertical. You can see a demonstration of it from an air-show here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY2VKApQo6A

The Arnold movie with Dany DeWito is "Twins" (1988). Another Arnold comedy is "Kindergarden Cop" (1990) For an early Jamie Lee Curtis movie I would like to suggest the thriller "The fog" (1980). An absolute must watch are "A fish called Wanda" (1988) and "Fierce Creatures" (1997). The two movies are not related but have the same cast. They are both hilarious.

I think Kindergarten Cop is Arnold’s funniest film, but this is right up there as among his best for comedic gold. You guys should do Twins as well. That’s another one Arnold is truly funny in.

jim Howe

The quintessential action film of the 90's. Absolutely love this film to bits!

jim Howe

If you want another great Arnold film, 'Last Action Hero' is brilliant too.

christopher b swanson

the music you asked about in opeing is from mission impossible, go watch those and the new bonds and the bournes.............enjoy

Githerax

"do you have a moustache?" Jeez Simone can be colder than the NWT sometimes.

KL

"Whores in an elevator" - They prefer to be called "ladies of the night"

Githerax

Oh can you imagine if they did an all-day marathon, 'Casino Royale', 'Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation' and 'The Bourne Identity'? They would die of vicarious testosterone overdose.

A Red Mage Named Blue

That infamous scene from NCIS? Still better than a later scene involving an MMORPG. or what they thought an MMORPG looked like.

James Whalen

Why are so many James's in the credits with no last names? lol George

Peter Hudson

Commando would be a great one! More serious than this but it's so over the top you'll be cracking up the whole time

David Crabtree

Jamie Lee was only 34 at the time of filming this (35 when it was released) but she's always had a more mature look to her.

David Sumner

Arnold is flying a harrier jet. It has vertical takeoff and landing capability accurately portrayed in the film.

Adam Wetstein

You guys have actually been in that hotel. It is the Royal York most of it was filmed in Toronto and the see through elevator was the old Sutton Place in Yorkville . And Samuel L Jackson wears a eye patch in the MCU

Michael_AP

About the nuke. Even though a missile won't make a nuke go off, you still don't want it to be destroyed by the missile. It would spread radioactive material over a large area and radioactive dust get into the air and blown about. A bomb what spreads radioactive material is a real life thread. It's called a "dirty bomb". This is why there is such fears that radioactive material comes in the hands of terrorists.

Githerax

George, if you ever do 'Showgirls' on Cinecringe, you know my expectation for the thumbnail...

Adam Wetstein

Your reaction was so much fun. Thanks

James Quinn

Mission Impossible (music). Snake Plissken is the ultimate cycloptic hero- even moreso than Cyclops. Nick Fury has an eyepatch. Charleton Heston was probably supposed to be Nick Fury. The original white one, not Samuel L Shaft Jackson who is always THE SAME PERSON!

MacGuffinStuff

Kindergarten Cop and Jingle All The Way are pretty funny, I'd skip Twins though, despite co-starring Danny De Vito I didn't think it was all that funny. Commando has some comedy but since you let it slip that you've already watched it for the channel lol I'll say I think the funniest thing in Commando is Bennett's outfit, that actor went from being a fairly terrifying villain in Road Warrior to whatever the hell that was.
