Hey folks, we saw all your comments about Scream and Final Destination, and that we should do the older slashers first before doing those 2. So we've decided to post pone this weeks poll to a later time, and offer up an other list of movies that Simone also came up with based on your suggestions.

Remember, you can vote for multiple films!

Comments

Githerax

Alright, normally I'd vote Inception, but I'm voting Simone some comedic relief from all the recent drama and horror. My Cousin Vinny.

Adam Wetstein

Do Troy so George can do a Cine Cringe epi later

Ron Moses

If I hold out hope long enough, some day you'll get around to Tombstone. I have faith. :)

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

We need My Cousin Vinny 😁also not sure why people need them to watch old slashers before Final Destination

Elliot

Voted Raid because it's incredible even tho it won't win, but I do hope you guys circle back around to it one of these days! Thanks for reading the comments RE horror stuff. This way you'll get the most out of Scream when you do get to it. <3

dieselbeast

My cousin Vinny ,troy, or superbad I'll be cool with, haven't seen any of the other ones lol

Roberto Abitua

The Raid's low number is criminal. But of the popular ones, hopefully My Cousin Vinny wins.

Ryan McKenna

I've never been happier for multiple votes. I think it'd be easier if we voted for what NOT to watch on this poll

Lock_Down

Do Triangle, devil, predestination, They are right up your alley

jonny bowerbank

Thank fuck. The other poll sucked. Not to say they weren't good movies but every reactor channel seems to do the same movies at the same time.

jonny bowerbank

The fall on netflix/BBC I player is one I've not seen a single person react to. I think it would get you a lot of new subs and it's awesome. Think it would have to be patreon exclusive though cause BBC are awkward

Ryan McKenna

My Cousin Vinny is my favorite comedy of all time but that doesn't mean I think it's the best. Lots of nostalgia there. Inception>My Cousin Vinny>Kick-Ass>Superbad in my reaction order.

Elisa H.

Actually good idea. I didn't know y'all hadn't seen the older slashers but Scream especially would have many a spoiler

Tyler Foster

None of these are Blade Runner 2049! ;) Hoping (but not holding my breath) that My Cousin Vinny can eke out a win over Inception.

dieselbeast

How does Troy not have more votes that movie was a blockbuster hit, brad Pitt was born to play achilles, people are missing out 🤷

David Crabtree

My Cousin Vinny! Not only a hilarious comedy, but one of, if not the most legally accurate courtroom movie.

Tyler Foster

Also, a thought: so you don't want to open a tier where someone can just pay to choose the movies. Alternate idea: One Patreon post a month where people can post movie titles for, say, an hour before the post is deleted, and then you draw one of those titles out of a hat (with some restrictions on content).

JayF

My Cousin Vinny is incredibly funny. Hoping it pulls out a win here.

James Whalen

If you’ve never seen it, my guilty pleasure is “Road Trip”.

dieselbeast

If in inception ends up winning you gotta put Troy my cousin Vinny and superbad in your next random poll, those deserve to be watched 😁

Damian

Voted for Inception, as your Tenet reaction brought me to the channel. As for film suggestions: Really hope you’ll react to all the Nolan films - as I think you both enjoy or appreciate the concepts, execution, practical effects and ‘cinematic-ness’ of them all. I second those, above, who mentioned Ex Machina and Blade Runner 2049. Oh, and if you get to Big trouble in little China, that’ll be fun too. TV-wise: Severance is very very intriguing.

Tipist

Splash feels really out of place on this list to me.

Ken Schneyer

I voted for Troy because there’s so much good and so much bad in it, and it would be fun to watch you sort out the good from the bad. 😂

lespea

Superbad is probably the greatest coming of age movie ever made, with a close runner up being Almost Famous. Very different movies though. Excited for whatever movie wins for the most part.

Johann Du Toit

Argh! Too many must-watches here! My Cousin Vinny, Superbad and Inception are all top 20 all time movies!

Zeke

Tommy Boy pls

QuiGon_Jim (Howe)

Can I suggest the Mission Impossible films? Great, easy to watch action films.

Johann Du Toit

I feel like the 2nd and 3rd place of every vote should stay on the list for the next vote.

Jason Nunez

Not so much Final destination. It pretty much stands on its own. Now Scream for sure.

Matthew Brown

My cousin Vinny is a great movie not only is it funny but it's the most accurate court movie of all court movies

Cubonemaker

Superbad needs to win this somehow

Opti_Frog

A Nolan film will always mess the other choices over 😅

Brandi Davis

Might have to riot if My Cousin Vinny doesn't win haha

streaky

Nolan wins every time, as he should.

Saifu

Are you guys going to continue the Daniel Craig 007 movies?

Cortland

I feel like it's a little unfair to put inception on this list. There are some good movies here and of course inception will win. It's a high concept award winning film. Perhaps grouping critically acclaimed award winning films together would make more sense. That way the other movies actually have a chance.

Middy

The Raid has some of the best fight choreography in modern cinema. It doesn't look like it'll win, but if George hasn't seen it, he should definitely watch it in his own time. The sequel also has some amazing fight scenes but really starts to drag in other places.

Joe S

If you guys are planning to do reactions to series too, I highly recommend ‘The Inbetweeners’. It’s like a British Superbad but better dialogue and whit 😛😎

Marko T.

The Prestige (2006) is another great Nolan movie. It stars Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Scarlett Johansson.

Middy

Regarding Scream: the franchise is definitely improved with some prior horror knowledge (and not just slasher), but if you really wanted to catch every single reference you'd need to watch over 100 movies. It's absolutely enjoyable without having seen anything else, but if you prefer to have some background I'd say the only must-sees are a few of the classics: Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th. I don't think it's that simple though. As iconic as the Friday series is, the original movie is starting to look really dated and cliché for modern audiences, and despite its status, it was never actually regarded as a particularly great movie. You'd also need to watch at least one of the sequels. It doesn't really matter which one, but fan opinion over which are best varies widely, so you're taking a gamble no matter what you choose. The original Halloween has the same problem. It obviously has its hardcore fans, but it's pretty slow paced and basic in its approach, not to mention really poorly lit in some of the later scenes which has always bugged the heck outta me. This has a better solution though: you can simply watch the 2018 reboot. It flows in pretty much the same way and the cinematography is brilliant even by modern standards. You won't get the entire story of course, but you don't need to. It's a dude walking around killing people, simplicity is the entire point. For Nightmare, just watch the first one. I love them all, but you'll know for yourself after watching the original if you're into it enough to see them slowly decline in quality.

Toc

THANKS FOR THE GREAT "FARGO" REACTION! That, and "Raising Arizona" were the first two movies that I thought of when I first saw your channel, and I've been waiting patiently ever since till you got around to it! It did not disappoint! Definitely don't shut down your channel before you see "Raising Arizona"! Better than all the movies on this poll combined, lol. (just kidding, just making ha-ha!). :D

redddfer44

I know it's not gonna win, but The Raid is heccin awesome and it'd be really nice to see more reactions to non-English speaking movies. But whatever's winning this one, I'm sure overall you'll keep your selection of movies as diverse as you have thus far.

Rudy Hernandez

Omg, Inception. One of the smartest, unique, mindf*** of a movie. Love it!

Manly Stump

Out of curiosity, anyone else wanna see Snatch get a look in?

David Crabtree

Inception, really? I saw that movie once in theaters and was just bored. But all movies are subjective and I'm glad that movie has its fans.

Tyler Foster

I liked Inception when it came out, but I actually just re-watched it a couple of weeks ago and found it didn't hold up for me at all. The biggest change for me between now and then is that Nolan did Tenet. In my opinion, Tenet feels like him trying to re-do and fix Inception. Inception spends almost every minute explaining itself in some way or another, right up to the climax. Tenet, on the other hand, is sort of hilariously disinterested in explaining itself. A character in Tenet even says, straight up: "Don't try to understand it. Feel it." Once you understand Inception, the explanations are sort of boring -- the movie has a solid emotional core but it's so busy with exposition, it doesn't have the proper dramatic impact. Tenet is much more effective both as a brain-twister and as an emotional story, because it focuses more on the latter and you trust that Nolan knows enough about how the movie works that it makes some kind of sense, and he conveys enough that I feel it's easy enough to follow, at least the broad strokes.

geddydisciple

Inception? That movie is fun the first time but has no rewatchability. :(

King_Panarisi

Even tho it's not winning my addition to this poll (Kick-Ass) is doing alot better than i'd even hoped for. Hopefully it might win in some future polls.

Tom H

I would love you guys to watch Spotlight. It's an amazing drama based on investigative journalism with an incredibly moving topic. A study on the importance of the outsider in community. I'd consider it one of very, very few films to compete with Good Will Hunting.

Githerax

One word. Tommy. Boy. One word at a time. Is it on the list? (1995) Buddy Comedy

Fabian Kracik

According to Rick sanchez, inception makes no sense.... and can only agree with that....

Jeff I.

It may just be my pet peeve, but can we save some of the more detailed opinions about why you like or don't like a movie for the comment section of their reaction instead of on the polls before they've seen it? This happens on other reactors' Patreon polls too, so not singling anyone out here. It's one thing to simply say "I was/wasn't a fan of this movie" and leave it at that, but I sometimes wonder if they'll go into new movies with their expectations of it clouded by some of the longer or more detailed comments I've seen both here and on past polls about the movies in said polls. I just think it makes for better reactions! :-)

Peter Hudson

Jesus, this is the one time I put a check mark next to almost everything. This list is too good, whatever wins I hope the rest come back up soon

RedCrusade

Glad to see Inception and Superbad at the top of the list. Inception is obviously a great movie, but I remember seeing Superbad in the theater and my friend was laughing so hard he actually fell out of his seat.

Torsten Maekler

There aren't a lot of animated movies you have watched yet. You already know them all? I hope not... What about: - Big Hero 6 (2014) - Finding Nemo (2003) - Inside Out (2015) - Kung Fu Panda (Jackie Chan, 2008) - Ratatouille (2007) - The Incredibles (Samuel L. Jackson, 2004) - Up (2009) - Zootopia (Alan Tudyk, J.K. Simmons, 2016) And for Series, how about: - Arcane (2021)

Deserana12

The Prestige, Dunkirk and especially Memento would make for really some really cool reactions.

Ken Myers

Frailty, Next, Source Code, Memento, Super, Crank, Guns Akimbo all awesome for reactions, really unpredictable and lots of "oh shit" moments.

EMB

To be honest, of the movies I know on this list My Cousin Vinny is by far my favorite. One of the best courtroom movies ever made, next to 12 Angry Men. It looks like Inception will win, which I understand, but I found the film kind of underwhelming myself. Some recommendations for future polls though. I noticed on an old poll you had "Grave of the Fireflies". I absolutely love that movie, but fair warning it will break your heart. I would love to see you watch that. Another movie, which is my go-to when people ask what my favorite movie is, is "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb". It's one of my favorite Kubrick films, it'll add another black and white film to your list, and I find it absolutely hilarious. Also "Snatch" is a really good film with an awesome style to it.

Marko T.

Alien 3. I think its a great movie.

James Ferguson

You gotta do My Cousin Vinny, legit Oscar winning film.

KapZachlan

How is the Raid not winning this??!

Daniel Simmons

I just don't get Superbad. Quite possibly he worst movie I've ever watched in my life.

Ragnar Lothbrok

What a weird poll. In any case you should definitely watch The Raid, absolute insanity.

Ragnar Lothbrok

Oh and btw, I'd recommend for you to watch more classic horrors, like The Thing or Hellraiser, that would be dope. Good content overall tho.

JaneyN Guam

Some underrated films that I've enjoyed and which not many other reactors view are: Sneakers, with Robert Redford, Dan Aykroyd, Ben Kingsley, River Phoenix and Sidney Poitier; and Constantine with Keanu Reeves, Rachel Weisz, Tilda Swinton and Shia LaBeouf. Please consider them. You might be surprised if you haven't already seen them.

Githerax

After you watch 'Superbad', try 'Napoleon Dynamite' for a completely different teen comedy.

pichi4ever

Hey guys, im new here, and my english is not perfect...I dont know, where to put recomendation of movies that i would like u to whatch...here they go.

pichi4ever

Scent of a woman, Intervew with a vampire, Stand by me, Legends of the fall, Ghost, Pretty woman, 12 Monkeys, and please.....HOT SHOTS...

Githerax

Your 'Apollo 13' reaction rolled up on autoplay, and you mentioned 'other realistic space movies?' Put 'October Sky' (1999) on the list, the real-life story of Homer Hickam who grew up to become a NASA engineer.
