Yeah it’s a word for Gypsies or travellers, ones of Irish descent though not Romani gypsies. Brad Pitt’s accent is pretty spot, mostly an Irish accent but still it’s own sort of thing 😂. There’s a lot in North London, all the different groups of people in the film are too so it’s very accurate in that sense, at least when this film came out 20 years ago. This is like the Cornetto trilogy, you need to watch it a few times to catch everything but it’s one of the most quotable movies ever! 👍

One of my fave films, if you guys want more like this, check out "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" It's very similar with a lot of the same cast members. I believe when Brad Pitt saw that movie he insisted on being in Richie's next film, which was Snatch

I have a slight feeling, you two had fun :)

Guy Ritchie gets a lot of Tarantino comparisons, and there's a lot of overlap in their styles (known for violent crime comedies with a lot of wordplay and sharp editing). I think Tarantino has a bit more range, because whenever Ritche strays out of the crime genre he struggles a bit. 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' is worth a watch, as is 'RocknRolla', and more recently, 'The Gentlemen' (this was his going back to basics movie after having a bit of a rocky road with more mainstream movies). He also directed the Robert Downey Jr. 'Sherlock Holmes' movies and the recent live action Aladdin if you want some of his more blockbuster style successes.

Please, if you haven't watched it already. 'In Bruges' is a top film.

PLEASE consider watching Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels as a follow up! It’s Guy Ritchie, Jason Statham, and Vinnie Jones’ first movie. It’s a little less polished, but possibly even more fun, and arguably even more creative in the filmmaking.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels as well as his Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr are all good.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. One of the most fun movies in my 49 yrs of movie watching.

Noah

Another recommendation for Lock Stock; it’s a ride. :)

Odd Thomas

Lock Stock definitely the better movie. I haven't seen Snatch since 2000 so will be interesting to revisit with you guys.

In addition to Two Smoking Barrels and his Sherlock Holmes movies, I would suggest his The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

I haven't seen this movie in long time. you 2 always crack me up. Blessings Namaste.

This has been my favorite movie since high school. The dialogue is completely brilliant. All of Ritchie's movies are great. Everyone is recommending Lock Stock, which is a great pick, but I'd also like to recommend his movie with Matthew Mcconaughey, "The Gentlemen."
