Q

Simone, if this is in your top 5 already, I can confidently say it will be #1 by the end of the show.

John Deardurff

Lt. Daniels makes extra money working as a concierge at The Continental where John Wick stays.

Byron Abrahams

"You come at the king, you best not miss!" - Omar This might be the 20th time I've seen this, and still chills!

Joel

Steve Earle!! It's been a while since I watched the series so I was expecting him to be introduced later. You'll see more of the bearded man who gave the speach at AA/NA in the series, but in the meantime, he's a singer/songwriter Simone might want to check out. I like some of his songs, got a real country twang to his rock music if you're into that kinda malarky. Copperhead Road was his big worldwide hit.

Joel

Yo lesson here, Bey. You come at the king, you best not miss.

Jack Burton

I wish you guys released these twice a week.

joe shmoe

i just want to say that i think the subtitles for this show are absolutely horrible

Jeff K

Saaaaame. I can't get enough of 1) re-watching The Wire and 2) watching first timers react to what I consider the greatest show in TV history.

Episode 4 is the notorious crime scene investigation, not 5

PIG

lol There's no excuse for that. DVD or streaming? They might be different.

BBF

The bar scene in episode 7 with McNulty and Bunk, which you said was impeccably written, was actually a real conversation between homicide detectives overheard by David Simon.

Jay

Drunk Bunk is always great:)

Tenn Seven

Yeah, civil forfeiture (what they try to do to that "street money" in episode 8) is complete bullshit and entirely unconstitutional. Luckily a lot of jurisdictions are starting to reform this, but anywhere this is allowed the police can basically take away your personal property without ever proving (or even charging) that you did anything wrong.

redddfer44

Bunk is such a mess of a person but damn do I love the actor in his role. Him in that bathrobe had me in stitches. Guess he wanted to get really wasted for the shit McNulty pulled on him and that he had to pass on to Cole.

Tenn Seven

"So he's dirty, or he has a really good Only Fans." Or his WIFE makes money, George, you sexist!

Andre Royo is so good, you can see Bubbles' conflict and resolution through his face throughout the speech at the narcotics anonymous meeting. Beautiful stuff.

james repka

Walon is played by Steve Earle, singer-songwriter guitarist and Nashville legend, who has been through most of the things he talks about in episode 7.

Jeff K

It's a legit crime that he never got so much as a single Emmy nomination. He's incredible. That scene in NA is so beautifully acted, without a single word said by him.

Jeff K

John Oliver did a great episode about civil forfeiture a few years ago. That shit is flat out corruption.
