The Iron Giant - Patreon Version

Finally took the time to fully watch it as well, only seen the special effects before. A wonderful movie with a lot of heart. Now Ready Player One really screwed up turning the Giant into a gun again.

My first trip to Iceland, I actually went to that glacier and took a picture of my Iron Giant pop figure in the snow up there.

Yes it's finally here!, please put Hot Rod (2007) on the Poll, it's a great funny comedy a must watch!

It’s the Signature Edition guys. 1h 29m. The theatrical is 1h 26m. They added one scene in the extended cut.

OMG Simone you KNOW he hasn't seen TNG :D

Bruce Bromley

I don't think George watches anything in his free time other than The Simpsons and Futurama. :-)

I think a few people have a problem with The Iron Giants portrayal in Ready Player One because the whole thing about him is that he didn’t want to be a gun he didn’t wanna be destructive and even though he’s being controlled by somebody in Ready Player One he’s nothing but destructive in it but it’s just a movie so it doesn’t really matter

OK, that's the version I just bought on Amazon. I"ve seen this lots of times, but not for years, and I thought there were some brief shots that I hadn't seen before.

Holy jingos. George, let Simone know that her FCG reference is spot on. I honestly think Sam Riegel took inspiration from the Iron Giant for Fresh Cut Grass

This movie has a special place in my heart. It was the first "serious" my son watched. He was 5 and had only seen cartoons and other things for very young children. From the moment we put the VHS tape my son was entranced. However, the moment that gets me, is when the "superman" moment happened. After the explosion, my son looked back at my wife, who was tearing up. Then my son asked,"where did the giant go?" That set my wife off and she started crying hard. Then my son looked at me and started tearing up. He had never had a reaction like this before. It was, I think, the first time he had seen an emotional death on screen. We paused the film, and I explained how the giant chose to sacrifice himself to save the people and Hogarth. My son then had a really hard cry with us. Once he calmed down, we continued the movie. When the little flashing light appeared on the bolt, my tiny son's face got such a wide-eyed look of awe, and as the camera panned to Iceland and showed the parts, my son's grin lit up the room. When it showed the giant's head and his smile, my son jumped up and start dancing, jumping and screaming "He came back!" The pure joy and excitement at that moment was amazing.

Re: Studio Ghibli, you could still do some, just as Patreon only

A great Brad Bird film that gets overlooked is Tomorrowland starring George Clooney. Great movie!

Grave of the Fireflies would destroy them, but I'd love to see a reaction and their thoughts on it.

Why is Studio Ghibli so bad, and will things change? Kiki's Delivery Service is the best.

I was wondering how your voting worked thanks for more info on it, I was hoping you guys would continue Jumanji 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean 3 since you like both and seemed really excited for the next ones, I hope to see reactions to those at some point keep up the great work love this movie and your reaction.

Love that you compared the iron giant to Sam's character on Critical Roll! FCG's a fun dude for sure. This movie brings me so much joy! :) Each of the characters are so well cast. This movie's amazing, plain and simple. It's a movie that children will love and adults can enjoy as well. I watched this for the first time as a boy and really liked it then. I'm glad that you enjoyed it so much Simone! I'm happy that you watched it.

I love this movie! It's so beautiful and amazing. Another animated movie I recommend would be Your Name (2016).

Prune Juice was Worf's choice of drink from Star Trek. The quote Simone specifically stated was from Deep Space 9.

Duck and Cover is actually useful... not if you're anywhere near the centre of the blast radius but it could absolutely save a lot of lives

Never mind how you pick movies, I want to know how Simone decides how she's going to start off the videos.
