Yeah, the first two and arguably the fourth are pretty zeitgeisty, first one is Vietnam fallout, makes sense, then Apartheid was a reasonably big deal at the time, it was the world event that wasn't the Cold War (which is arguably partly why it was relatively ignored) - they even managed to bring the whole issue about dolphins and tuna in (I still only buy line-caught tuna) which I remember being an actual *thing* back then. Shame the first one didn't do too well on youtube, maybe a bit surprising too - it'll be interesting to see if the later ones do better, because most reactors do the first then abandon ship despite the later ones being pretty decent movies, I'm sure there are people who think the fourth is the best of them all.

How could you have not included one of the most iconic 80's movie lines of all time? "Just been revoked!" That's like leaving out "Hasta la vista, baby!" or "Say hello to my little friend!". Sacrilege!

When they see a film for the first time, they don't know what's considered iconic if it isn't something that's quoted or spoofed often. I've seen this one quite a few times in my teens and didn't remember that one myself. The bad guy's "Diplomatic immunity!" always stuck with me more.
