Hi! I'm late to the comment party on this one. I've watched this movie several times but never noticed the Shaolin coach's pinkie fingernails being super long. What's that about? George? Do you have time for a bathroom comment?

Stephanie Bedworth

Omg. I've never been happier to see this thing pop up.

I have no idea where to find the movie to watch it.

You need to stop spamming this in every post you see, extremely annoying.

This is a movie that can be difficult to sync. I'd love it if George would come in here and tell us exactly what version he is watching and from where. For example, my DVD has a Chinese-language/English sub version that is 01:52:22. That is very close to the runtime George mentions, just 5 seconds shorter, but this version breaks sync multiple times, just in the opening credits, and multiple times again during the opening flashback scene. There is also an English dub-only version as a DVD extra, but it is only 01:26:36. But, unlike some, this movie will be worth the manual syncing to watch the full-length reaction because there is so much to react to and I don't want to miss anything.

Hi Thomas, the version we watched unfortunately didnt state any particular version, I wasn't even aware that there are different cuts. I recommend nobody goes to rarbg.to and find the Chinese x265 version by VXT, as thats an act of piracy and should be discouraged. I am only stating the precise version from the precise website to make sure none of you accidentally wander onto it.

Would be awesome to see a God Of Cookery reaction

Super enjoyed watching this with you both. xD Quality movie for sure. :) I honestly had no idea what to expect with this one and it did not disappoint. I laughed a good bit! This was definitely quality over the top comedy.

Dang, was super-excited to watch along, but it looks like it's the version that's hard to find. Shoot!

Wow, there are so many scenes in this version I never saw, apparently cut from the US version. The dough scene was there, but the amazing Thriller dance sequence after it was cut. The beauty salon and the introduction of Mui to the friends and her fighting her boss and him turning her down, and him talking to her boss, and her crying into the dough was all missing - that changes her whole story! The meeting on the golf course, and the tour bus leaving the hotel wasn't there. The bit about drugs from the US was cut. The locker room scene was cut... I'm loving seeing so much new stuff after all this time. I first saw this 20+ years ago, while crashing on a friend's couch. I found it in his DVDs after he went to bed, no idea what it was, and never even heard of Stephen Chow, so I had no idea what I was in for. I ended up scream/cry laughing into a couch pillow about 20x, trying not to wake him up in the next room. Her walking into the goal post, then it's the wrong goal - I laughed so hard I hurt myself.
