Stonehenge. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Shaggit

On a rating between 1 and 10, this reaction definitely goes to 11.

Damnit I tried to get in here to be the first one to make that joke. Well played.

Byron

There is an earlier episode of The Simpsons in which Spinal Tap makes an appearance and cause a riot. Good times.

Jeff K

Now that you guys have entered the world of Christopher Guest mockumentaries you gotta keep going with Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind.

Bruce Bromley

Loved this film when it was released The great soundtrack album was exactly like their's in the film, completely black. They did tour a few times as the band. Also had a reunion show just a few years ago Christopher Guest took the reins from Reiner and did make some of the greatest mockumentaries. Simone, if you haven't seen it, you'd love "Best In Show". About a group of people prepping their dogs for a national dog show

Dave Gaskin

As others have mentioned, ‘Best In Show’ is well worth checking out. Christopher Guest (who happens to be married to Jamie Lee Curtis!) crafted a fantastic cast who improvise a lot of their scenes. Notable additions include Eugene Levy & Catherine O’Hara who went on to do Schitt’s Creek. A really great ensemble piece with some brilliant cameos!

Adam Wetstein

I forget how young you guys are. You didnt recognize Fran Dreshner from the horrible sitcom The Nanny and yes that is where “ turn it up to 11” comes from Spinal Tap 2 is going to be a shot at the Stones and The Who.

Mike Miner

Another vote for "Best in Show"! Hilarious movie with a stacked cast, and Simone will love all the doggos.

Jeff K

I feel like Guffman is the most under-appreciated/forgotten of the Chris Guest movies, but yeah, Best in Show is my favorite. Eugene Levy and Fred Willard are just so good in it. "How much do you think I can bench press?"

Jeff K

Chris Guest is the master of the mockumentary. They feel so real, while being so, so funny. A Mighty Wind is my least favorite, but it's still very good. It feels like more of a love letter to his cast and to folk music than a full-on spoof.

Paulo_Maximus

I second “Best in Show” that movie is funny. 🤣🤣🤣

JoeNotCharles

I was actually shocked George didn't mention that. He recognizes everything else that's even tangentially related to the Simpsons.

Best in Show and A Mighty Wind

Mike Miner

More fun trivia since I haven't seen it mentioned yet... if you look this movie up on IMDB, the rating goes to eleven.

Rachel W

The 3 main characters were played by Americans. I remember thinking when I first saw it, "Wait, Lenny is British?" lol.

Emptysea93

As others have mentioned, "Best in Show" is an absolute must if you enjoyed Spinal Tap. Likewise, you should both also absolutely watch "What We Do in the Shadows" both the show and movie, very similar tone as this, but about vampires.

Christopher Bell

ah one of those rare 'no one has seen before' movies. I remember watching this like 20 or so years ago when I was a teenager. Was brilliant and had not gotten old, I'm glad to say. "talk about mud flaps, my girls got em"

Paulo_Maximus

“Don’t you think that’s sexist?” “What’s wrong with being a little sexy?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 “Well, you should have seen the cover they *wanted* to do! It wasn't a glove, believe me” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Emptysea93

Also fun fact, Jamie Lee Curtis is married to Christopher Guest in real life. She first heard of him through this movie and thought it was so funny and so brilliant that she said she wanted to marry him for creating it. She then used her contacts in Hollywood to set up a date and the rest is history...

I really dislike this movie but everybody does need to see it. Catch you next time.

Rob Church

Definitely think you guys would love other Christopher Guest movies. Especially Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind,

Sheldon Pauls

For years I had the cassette soundtrack - awesome and hilarious! I've been a metal fan all my life and this is my favourite "band movie", ever. So incredibly funny with all its exaggerations of the funny things about the genre.

MoDaCr And Peanut

If you like this you should definitely watch Walk Hard

Kyle B

From the same people, the movie 'Best in Show' is really funny too.

HeyHeyJK

Great reaction to one of the greatest comedies ever. And to think, Rob Reiner did this as his first film, then went on to do "Stand by Me", "The Princess Bride" (with Christopher Guest again as Count Rugar, the six-fingered man), "When Harry Met Sally", "Misery", and "A Few Good Men", all in a row. They're in pre-production now for "Spinal Tap 2" which makes me both super excited and really nervous. But, if all the original parties are involved, it could still be great.

Brendan Rafferty

to promote the film, they actually played several live shows... and then in the 90's played live again to promote a new album the original pressing of the soundtrack album was, of course, simply an all black front and back cover... the name was on a sticker placed on the plastic shrink wrap Once you took off the plastic wrap with the sticker, it was all black front and back It opened in a gatefold so the track listing was inside https://i5.walmartimages.com/asr/4e2a9888-b7c2-4d3e-a540-243fb044bf12_1.045ca0877f90397a5686ce2eb3e2eaa2.jpeg?odnHeight=612&odnWidth=612&odnBg=FFFFFF

This is one of those movies where you keep noticing new jokes upon rewatching. Just last year a friend pointed out to me that they are all playing bass guitars on the "Big Bottom" song. It also took me many viewings to realize that Nigel tunes the violin during his solo. Such a great movie!

Professor00

You should watch “Best in Show” and “A Mighty Wind” which have the same 3 main leads and are in a similar vein.
