Ok I legitimately snort laughed seeing George in that thumbnail.

Regular Viewer Bunty Hoven

Marathon Man is right there if you want another tangentially cardio-related film. Good film too.

AlimonyMoney

Jessie Ventura was in original Predator movie. He was also a professional wrestler and the Governor of a Minneosta.

Robert Cooper

Accurate future: there was two part episode of Star Trek Deep Space Nine called "Past Tense" where they went back in time to 2024. Disturbingly accurate.

Robert Cooper

Also, worth mentioning... This is definitely the weirdest of the Stephen King movies.

Onikaze

yay! Jessie Ventura was the "I ain't got time to bleed." guy in Predator, and also the Governor of Minnesota as noted above.

Bruce Bromley

You two have barely scratched the surface of prescient future tales. I'd like to think that Soylent Green that takes place in 2022 is on the nose. Or at least should be.

Tom H

You guys should definitely watch Last Action Hero. Peak Arnie post-modernism.

Lindsay G

And there's also Mick Fleetwood from Fleetwood Mac and Frank Zappa's son Dweezil, both in the resistance.

mojo shivers

One of the early Arnold classics. This is the movie that predicted The Hunger Games in a sense. Lol

Jinyatta

To answer your question, the movie from the past that most correctly predicted the future is "Idiocracy"

Paulo_Maximus

“I'll tell you what I think of it: I'll live to see you eat that contract, but I hope you leave enough room for my fist because I'm going to ram it into your stomach and break your god-damn spine!” 📺 (Epic Arnold quote) 😁

Paulo_Maximus

“I’ve seen you before, you’re the asshole from TV” lol. Another quote that I’ve been saying to loved ones here and there for years thanks to this movie. 😅🤣

Paulo_Maximus

“Here’s Sub-Zero! Now… plain zero!” 🤣🤣🤣 this movie and its quotes. 🤣🤣

Deano

Arnie is the king of one liners, give you a lift?

Reiji Kobayashi

Oooh, random QI fact! I think you guys should do a reaction of at least one episode - maybe the one with the Acropolis.

Lindsay G

With George being such a big fan of the show it would only be a reaction for Simone. I'd still be up for it though

Christopher Lum

Love this movie! Some of the best Arnold one-liners!

Jordan Aiken

You two should check out Killing Gunther. Arnold is kind of the antagonist in it. I think it is very, exciting, funny and underrated.

Jeff K

But on the plus side, that movie was filled to the BRIM with electrolytes.

Dave Gaskin

As an 80s kid, Arnie movies were a thing of legend and whoever got their hands on the VHS first would be the cool kid for a while. The one-liners came across WAY less cheesy than they do now! Others have already mentioned it but Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac plays Mic, the resistance leader. What I love is that, since this movie was made in the 80s, they put him in old age make-up so that the 2019 version of his character would be of the right age to have been Mick's real age at the time of filming. The same as they did with Marty's parents in Back to the Future. And for what it's worth +1 for Last Action Hero. It was directed by John McTiernan who also directed Predator and Die Hard. Charles Dance is a great villain and there's some awesome 90s cameos! It was massively under-appreciated at the time.

Brian Hakala

Glad this won the coin toss! Love the Schwarzenegger reactions plus this is the only movie with a governor vs governor steel cage match!

Brian Hakala

Yes! Killing Gunther turned out to be so much better than I thought it would be plus he parodies himself I think they’d love it.

Lindsay G

Twins is a must watch Arnie movie. Whoever thought of paring him with Danny Devito is a genius.

Joshua M Freeman

I had forgotten how much "The Hunger Games" ripped off this film.

Happy Hanukkah

Finally! A Maria Conchita Alonso film! I join the others recommending Last Action Hero (1993), though if we're doing John McTiernan films (kinda), I'd be even more excited to see The 13th Warrior (1999).

Peter Dillard

You should try Rollerball (the original with James Caan).

Bruce Bromley

You call that a coin flip Simone? :-) Besides a I thought the D&Der that you are would be using your icosahedron. Even #'s for one pick, odd #'s for the other

Koonce

Great work on the video! At one point Simone was questioning who the teacher was, it's Principal Flutie from Buffy.

michael clarke

the majority of my enjoyment of your channel is that i like seeing your opinion on films i already know, i do also appreciate the clips version of films like this. i havent seen it and had no interest to watch it. nice to have a vague knowledge of what it is.

overdev

yes the chainsaw was invented around 1830 to cut through bones in surgery

Nathan Swapp

Where is the shirt Simone wearing from?

Brandon Meng

Disappointed nobody mentioned Kindergarten Cop as a follow up. Not a great film, but a quintessential Arnold film. Plus, Astoria, Oregon.
