Yessssss, great movie!

JayF

I love the outtakes on this one.

The damn TEASE with the zombie movie. I wonder if it's gonna be something that I truly love or really hate.

My favorite Jim Carrey comedy is what I consider underrated: "The Cable Guy" (1996). It was panned for being too dark for what fans expected of Carrey at the time. I saw it as, "What if Alfred Hitchcock directed a comedy?" I hope it pops up on this channel. Please, add it to a poll. 🤞

Not a lawyer but I've spent hundreds of hours in court. I'd just change up the wording of the question. He couldn't ask the question because he started it with, "isn't it true...". Just say, "Did you ever sleep with her?" Problem solved.

"Not a lawyer but I've spent hundreds of hours in court." My goodness man, how many atrocities have you committed!?

King_Panarisi

We need more Jim Carrey on here! How about Bruce Almighty for the next one?

Ohmss

Can't get enough of those classic 90's "dumb" comedies. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Tommy Boy, etc. Would love to see you do more of these!

JayF

After thinking about it I will argue that Steve Martin, in his prime, could have played this role and excelled at it. Hopefully you two will one day react to All of Me and witness his physical comedy at its peak.

You asked about disclosure. It's a bit more complicated than that. Before a divorce trial, there would have been a discovery process where the sides can ask the opposing side to answer questions and provide documents under subpoena. If they did not ask for the evidence then they wouldn't get it. In a criminal case, the prosecutor is required to provide to the defendant any evidence that is relevant to the case including evidence that might lead to the accused party's innocence, but this is not a criminal case. Finally, if the husband wants to make back some of his money, he should sue the lawyer who drew up the prenuptual agreement. One would think that any half-assed lawyer would first make sure that both sides are legally permitted to sign the agreement.

I think the Magoo reference about Jerry/Gerry is to Mr. Magoo, an old cartoon about a very bumbling/unaware character. Though usually I see it referenced as to someone who can’t see very well.

Love this era of comedies and for sure second Tommy Boy and Happy Gilmore.

I grew up watching Jim Carrey since he started his career and his funnier in his younger self. “Let me show you something 😬” look up ‘In Living Color/ Fire Mashal Bill(Home Saftey) and have fun 🤣🤣

I’m an attorney. Did criminal defense for several years. You don’t lie in court. It’s not worth it, and really isn’t helping all that much anyway. You can’t even knowingly let your client lie on the stand. You can be disbarred. This movie is still fun

Ima guess the “zombie” movie is Evil Dead. Because George says “ “ we didn’t watch a zombie movie”. Deadites could be mistaken for zombies for a first time watcher (Simone) I just hope if it is Evil Dead they continue with the movies and then do Ash vs Evil series on Patreon!

Such a fun reaction. I needed the laughs today. After seeing this reaction, I have to recommend Bruce Almighty. Carrey is just wonderful in it, and the movie is great. I think you'd both really love it.

Martin

Some more comedies: 1. The Dictator (Sasha Baron Cohen) 2. This Is The End (Seth Rogan, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson) 3. Ted (Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane) 4. A Million Ways To Die In The West (Seth MacFarlane)

Jay

G & S love their comedies. Jim Carrey, Mel Brooks, Eddie Murphy etc. have had multiple viewings.... so I find it crazy that Wes Anderson is yet to feature on the channel. They'd love his movies.

Odd Thomas

Well the outtakes were funny

Who Are These People

More comedies: 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' with Steve Martin and Michael Caine 'Tommy Boy' with Chris Farley and David Spade 'What About Bob?' w/ Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss 'Roxanne' with Steve Martin and Daryl Hannah 'Joe vs the Volcano' w/ Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan (show 'im, Simone) And for the dark horse bizarre comedic movie, 'Being John Malkovich' starring guess who.

djKENTO

How stoned am I watching this? When George started saying when this was for I got REAL CONFUSED about what the date was. Even though I know I’m watching an older reaction… I just totally spaced.

David Lonewolf Wright

I do like this movie quite a bit, but I feel like they could have toned down the over-the-top Jim Carreyness just a bit.

No, your honor, lawyers often don't "know" what the opposing side is going to do. There's no contractual understanding or obligation of sharing information between them. But they'll typically be "prepared" for the opponent's argument. In the courtroom they'll typically not ask a question unless they already know the answer they're going to get, or they get labeled a bad lawyer.
