One of the better movie remakes out there, looking forward to revisiting it and then wanting to play Dead Rising again

JediLounger

The remake is pretty good. Now do Slither (2006)! You guys will love it.

olly.enn

Aww, for a sec I thought you watched the Romero one... :( :)

Martin

Eh, guess that answers the question about which zombie movie they alluded to viewing a couple of videos back. I was hoping for World War Z. Oh well…

Chase Schleich

Yes! When you teased a zombie movie, I was hoping it was this one.

mpd

Quick question: what percentage of your viewers aren't not unsubscribed to the channel?

Luca

Pretty good remake, but the original is way better

Marko T.

The original 1978 version is a lot better.

Bob Bittner

Ooh, I’m gonna disagree about the original. I much prefer the remake.

JayF

They stated they've already seen the original. I'm not sure if I've seen either version but I'll give this one a shot. I see people recommending Slither and I'll second that. However it's going to be a low view count reaction so keep that in mind for scheduling it.

Ricardo Alanis

Is it the director’s cut or theatrical?

Xandermud

In the theme of zombies I'm curious if you guys are going to be checking out The Last of Us on HBO.

George, as a nurse I ask you to keep our powers of teleportation a secret

Jesus F Christ

Simone, if you want to read Max Brooks' World War Z you should listen to it in the audiobook format. It has a great cast, and the format of the book being a series of interviews works great as audio. If Audible still allowed you to share books with other members I'd lend you mine.

Odd Thomas

Yasss, one of my favourite zombie movies!

Odd Thomas

George, as a sword fan y'all are gonna love Highlander

Tenn Seven

The "just shoot them in the head" guy on TV is Tom Savini, one of the best special effects artists there is. He did all of the effects for George Romero's original movies. He was also "Sex Machine" in "From Dusk Till Dawn".

Monica Alarcon

Yeah if you could do a reaction to Peter Jackson's Braindead/Dead Alive that would be great...

Odd Thomas

Not zombies but vampires: 30 Days of Night is set in Alaska where the sun doesn't come up for weeks/months. Excellent flick

Our Patrons thought we were a myth. Well... They were MYTH taken.

🖤This is that scary movie Jay was watching in the Smart Tech store in 40-year-old Virgin when he says "Is Paula here she said we can't watch this in the store" LOL. Or maybe you already knew that, I haven't watched the reaction yet, maybe one of you recognized it. :)

warcrimes

I'm a huge horror movie fan and zombies are my fave subgenre. Sadly, most movies/shows are shit. This is not one of them. Snyder's Dawn is a great flick.

W T

If you haven't already, James Gunn is also responsible for The Suicide Squad (the new one) and Peacemaker, which hooks into the movie. Very much worth anyone's time.

Th D

not necessarely my film , but i really like to watch you both. i have a question. does somebody know where i can watch, the wire ? iam in germany...

About Chernobyl and an embryo absorbing another human's ARS radiation, so to speak: that is one of the many massive shortcomings of the series. Still love it for its general vibe and craft, but there is a lot of nonsense that kind of would ruin any engineers day - specifically this particular scene. It's a complete fabrication, as was the bridge and many, many political intricacies. I mean, the most prominent display of misinformation is about how the USSR responded; they were surprisingly open about the matter and disclosed an inordinate amount of information right away. They also didn't just doom people to die (which was never a thing to happen to those not staring into the pit in the first place) but instead tried their best to evacuate the population. Again, Chernobyl is fantastic - but it's also the furthest dang thing from hard science. It's a fictitious scenario at best, taking lots of inspiration from real life events.

Logan Kerlee

I am SUPER looking forward to that reaction. Highlander is up t here on my faves list. It's a good one. :)

The "better" tagline "When there's no more room in Hell..." is the tagline used for the original movie(and also a line spoken in that film).

FranciscoGios

Is it just me that thought that the Zombie head inside the cooler in the small boat started the whole thing, somehow bite someone and forgotten. Also thank you guys for reacting to this movie It’s One of my favorites.

sarCC

Oh, and if you two liked the original Dawn Of The Dead, the sequel to it, Day Of The Dead is really good, too. It's actually become my favorite of Romero's films over the years. You two should really check out the [REC] films, too(the first two are excellent).

Ricardo Alanis

George, the cover of Down with The Sickness in a piano lounge style is by Richard Cheese. He does great covers of metal songs in that style like Guerrilla Radio by RATM.

djKENTO

Fun fact: the big infected, older woman is actually Chris Farley’s stunt double in the 90s.

Scott G

I don't think Shaun of the Dead was a direct spoof of Dawn of the Dead, it was more a take on the entire zombie genre. The name Shaun of the Dead was just catchy. lol

Deadly Ramon

Shaun of the Dead was released around the same time as the Dawn of the Dead remake, so it wasn't a spoof of that film, but rather of the Romero zombie films (Night of the Living Dead, the original Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead) that had been released by that time.

Deadly Ramon

It was spoken in the original film by the same actor, Ken Foree, who played the televangelist in the remake. In the original movie, he was a protagonist, a SWAT team member who, in contrast to the anti-abortion character he plays in the remake, offered to abort the child of a pregnant co-protagonist. That line about the dead returning to the earth was something his character attributes to a voodoo-practicing grandmother. Cinebinge would do well to react to those original Romero films, assuming of course that they haven't already seen them.
