Did you both switched to CineCringe now? 22% Rotten Tomatoes, ouch...

I like Watchmen and I love Snyder's superman trilogy but this is rough one...

I award thirty points to this film for trying something that was at least somewhat original, but then I subtract a hundred and eleventy one points for its writing and execution. The characters are all one dimensional and although the action was "cool" - it was completely devoid of consequences or tension, which made it meaningless and boring. Final score: -81

I like this movie more every time I see it. The lobotomy was from the stepfather's agreement. His wife left her fortune to the girls so he had to get them committed (not killed) so he could control the money. You are right about the coping mechanisms that the dance represented - each girl needs to come up with a "dance", a method, of coping with the reality of their situation. I love how most of what really happens in the movie is not shown, only the fantasies are.

The Sucker Punch theatrical cut is awful (partly because the producers wanted to avoid an R rating), and it suffered a well-deserved death at the box office. The ending of the extended cut recontextualized the story in an important way and made it more satisfying, but I still want to see the unreleased director's cut of the movie. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut

That’s really a “turn off your brain and watch it” movie. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t call it a good movie

If Pulp Fiction and Sucker Punch swapped titles it would still work. I loved the music and like George said, it's just a giant music video.

BlueTrane

how is this Cinebinge while Gone in 60 seconds is Cinecringe? You have them backwards! And yet, I still enjoyed your reaction. Bravo.

If you like Oscar Isaac you should check out ExMachina and Annihilation. They are both sci-fi masterpieces directed by Alex Garland. Inside Llewyn Davis is another great movie. It's heartbreaking but he crushes his role like always.

I really like Ex Machina, the story and the visuals are so intriguing. Stellar performance by Alicia Vikander as well.
