Cinebinge has what we crave!

JediLounger

Have not seen this in years. It should be funny, brutal and terrifying all at the same time. Edit: So Fuddruckers is not a play on words, it's a real restaurant. https://www.fuddruckers.com/

Logan Kerlee

Great reaction! I'm glad you both enjoyed it. :) First watched this many years ago, a year or two after it was released. Shocking movie for it's time but as time passes.. it becomes less so each and every year.

Tenn Seven

That Beef Supreme actor is Andrew Wilson, Owen and Luke's brother.

ShellPuppy

Welcome to Cinebinge.....I love you

Mike

Holy shit I can't wait to watch this.

Mike

You didn't know fudruckers was real? That place is awesome

Love Mike Judge's stuff, going back to when Beavis and Butthead, and Milton, were skits on Liquid Television. Back when MTV was actually cool they had experimental shows like Liquid Television, which was like an animated anthology and produced a few spin offs like Aeon Flux, and it was awesome. Unfortunately MTV's most successful experimental show ended up being The Real World, which spawned the reality TV blight that has cursed us since lol I think you just have Extract left to watch to complete the Mike Judge filmography. Also kinda funny we got The Grand Budapest reaction recently, Wes Anderson is also one of them Austin dudes like Mike Judge. Owen Wilson and Wes Anderson met at college, so I've heard, University of Texas, Austin. And his brothers are in this, Luke and Andrew, and all three Wilson bro's are in Wes Anderson's first movie Bottle Rocket, and the Army dude that sent Joe to the lab was also in Bottle Rocket. Didn't mean to write a manifesto, long story short I'm recommending all of Wes Anderson's movies lol, and I wanted to segue into Richard Linklater's movies, suffices to say he's an Austin guy too, and his movies are great, specifically A Scanner Darkly because it's weird and fun, and dark, mostly weird.

THIS won the poll? This highly accurate documentary?

Daniel Popp

Any word on when you'll be watching "Prey"? I figured a reaction wasn't far behind after your Predator 2 reaction.

Love this! The Carl's Jr. "Fuck You, I'm Eating" slogan is even funnier if you look back at the types of ads they were running around the time this movie was released. It is of course the best version of the coming Idiocracy that we could hope for, with all of the problems getting worse except for racism -- there is no racism in this movie. Of course ignoring race relations is necessary if you want to keep this a comedy. Another thing that has gotten worse in the real world but is better in Idiocracy's future is that when the rulers of the country find a guy who they identify as "the smartest person in the world" they immediately take him to meet the President, give him a cabinet-level position, and listen to his advice on solving their problems. When I try to imagine the past few years, the idea that the smartest, most educated people would be sought out for their advice and their answers listened to, makes Idiocracy seem more like a utopia.

There's a bunch of commercials for Brawndo The Thirst Mutilator on YouTube that were made in connection to this movie are honestly gold. Recommend looking up if you want a good laugh!

Gary Fixler

I feel like you recognized him, but the Secretary of State was David Herman, who was Michael Bolton in Judge's other film, "Office Space." Also, random aside, all the computer voices, like the terminals in the hospital and the barcode tattoo machine were voiced by Tom Kenny, voice of Spongebob.

Ben

You guys should really do a reaction to "Ass", it's really powerful stuff. There's a reason it won 8 Oscars.

Jonah Bertorelli

I was incredibly excited to see you guys react to this, and it did not disappoint. Such a great movie, but as I've said for many years, and you've probably heard a million times it's slowly transforming into a documentary. It used to just be the whole "stupid people are outbreeding the smart ones" but now it's starting to show in the general public when you see street trivia videos all you can think of is this movie. LOL

Funny That

It's a great comedy, but breeding our way to universal stupidity in the future is a bullshit premise. Raising all the babies in the world on gatorade will get the job done though. There are very few people with exceptional intelligence, low or high, with all the vast rest of us being average, like Joe.

Matthew Langley

Imagine for those of us who watched this in a pre-Trump, pre-pandemic, pre-Jan 6, 2021 world... then that happened and this seemed quite prophetic in context.

Luke Trottier

Lol, I remember being 16 and thinking of the idea of this film premise. Not as a serious belief that it could happen, but just had the idea dawn on me. 2 years later, I see a new Mike Judge dvd at blockbuster and wanted to give it a go. Ha, low and behold, it's the exact thought I had recently had! That made it an extra fun watch.

Ken Quick

Legal Eagle did a review of this film for legal accuracy. Not at all accurate for the year it was released, but totally accurate for the Trump era.

Alice Aria Allen

So... Fuddruckers is a real restaurant in the US if you didn't realize. It specializes in "smash" style burgers. Sadly they are mostly closed I believe...at least in Texas. My family used to always joke about the name though, "Rudd*uckers"...

David Lonewolf Wright

They actually were selling a limited amount of Brawndo in some stores for a few years after this movie came out. It indeed tasted like gatorade.
