Some reactors like Blindwave have the audio playing in the background for syncing purposes - which is fine if you are reacting to the same audio track, pure agony, however, if it's some over-performing director is pulling what we in the industry would call a "Naruto" - and completely fucking wreck at least the early stages of the dub. I'd wager a bunch of people are thinking of that kind of scenario and preemptively got caught up in it, in case you needed some explanations as to why people are going so hard over this. Plus, it's like the biggest battle within the community, gotta do some memes.

Yeah, this and Mob Psycho 100 were both created by the Mangaka "One" as web series with really basic, doodle style art. OPM ended getting redrawn by Yusuke Murata for Shonen Jump and blew up from there. This and Mob both have pretty great dubs that preserve the comedy/tone. I'll ride or die for sub over dub on something like AOT but English dubs have come a LONG way in the last decade+.

I’m not into anime so I started to skip it but now I’m glad I gave it a try. This was pretty funny. Next time you need another pallet cleanser how about Archer. There are 13 seasons but the first season is ten 20 minute episodes. And that’s all you need for a break from the dramas.

"Fawlty Towers" 8.8/10 IMDb ,100% Rotten Tomatoes ,93% on Google Only 12 episodes at about 30 mins each ,so you can blow through them in no time I remember them being on patreon polls at the beginning of this channels journey and doing pretty well ,so hopefully a show to consider for the future

Fawlty Towers - probably the best comedy series. Only 12 episodes, absolutely hilarious. Definite must watch.

As someone who's very skeptical of most Anime, I'd strongly recommend Ping Pong: The Animation, in Japanese with subtitles-- it's probably the most economically delivered and perfectly edited cohesive storytelling I've seen, period-- no fluff at all-- just thoughtfully dense thematic exploration about all things life and competition, only incidentally using Ping Pong as a setting, and with four or five really well conceived characters that might as well share the role of main character. Just 11 short 22 minute episodes. Also brilliant music, strikingly odd art/animation style, and a really strong sense of identity, quirkiness, personality, and tastefulness, too.

‘One’ is the name of the original webcomic author. His art is super goofy though so he teamed up with, in my opinion, the greatest present day manga artist (Murata) and basically remastered the series. Which is what the anime goes off of kinda

This is one of the very few times where I will actively and fervently recommend the English dub version to people who are English speakers. The line delivery is such a huge part of the humor, and whoever they hired to do the dub absolutely knocked it out of the park. Saitama sounds genuinely disinterested most of the time in a hilarious way, while Genos sounds exactly like the parody of the anime hero he is. So much of the humor is lost if you don't speak Japanese fluently.

One Punch Man is fun but I do believe that the joke loses steam after a while. It’s not that engaging to me for a whole series. But getting drunk and watch along with friends who have never seen it is a lot of fun and I highly recommend.

I thought of One Punch Man kinda like Dredd where the main character(Dredd/Saitama) in their world is already more or less established and maybe learns a thing or two but the show gives you another character with the potential for an arc and propel the story (Anderson/Geno).

Season 1 is cute, fun, and cohesive, but I wouldn't recommend continuing past that, honestly. Feels like one of those things where the series should have been done after that point (and the premise can only be taken so far), but they just succumbed to the temptation and over wore its welcome.

Technologically nothing prevents us from cloning humans. Only a standing ethical practice from the science community and a few countries with laws regarding human birth stops the implementation. Most of the gene therapy, gmo crops, and pretty anything else involving genes that have helped 100s of millions of people across the planet are related to cloning research and technology.

When they released Space Adventure Cobra on DVD they redubbed all the voices and changed the entire soundtrack. The original SAC ad the greatest anime soundtrack of all time. I was livid.

If you’re trying to analyze side, Saitamas power, you’re doing it wrong. This anime isn’t about power, scaling or rules. This is a comedy. A lot of people don’t seem to get that on the Internet. They wonder who would win if this or that happened. But the answer is Saitama would win. That’s the joke. It’s a simple as that. But people can’t accept it🤣 No Agro though. I’m glad you guys are enjoying it.
