Love this movie and the sequels are very good as well.

JediLounger

You guys are going to keep watching the series so no one needs to say this, but yes the other two movies are worth watching. You could make the argument that you should also watch the Netflix shows and do everything in release order, but that would take a long time, so.

Mark Messer

I cant believe theyre remaking this in live action. It was perfect before

Odd Thomas

One of my favourite animated movies - the other one you still need to watch is Wreck it Ralph.

FatLittleButterfly

you can sstart on the TV series now (: Also, Tangled, Wreck it Ralph, Inside Out! 2010? Toy Story 3, over 1billion earned. Its always the animation first, even if it is not complete, there will be reels with a rough model so they can time out the film.

Odd Thomas

They always do voices first.

JediLounger

So if you want “stat information” about lots of the dragons, there is a short video in the special features for the second movie that has what you are looking for. It does not have every dragon, and it has some spoilers for the movie so watch it after. This series is based on a series of children’s books by Cressida Cowell. She wrote lots of them, along with a bestiary book called “The Incomplete Book of Dragons”. The first book came out in 2003 during the hight of the popularity of Harry Potter, so I think it was probably overshadowed some. I already said as much in my other comment, but yes. Both sequels are worth watching. This series is my personal favorite out of everything else I’ve seen as it plays to my interests and is extremely consistent across the movies, never dropping in quality and building on the story and world each time. The Netflix shows are also pretty good, and do a good job dolling out fun side stories, though they are more squarely aimed at kids.

Adam

YES! 2 and 3 are something you should definitely watch. All three are like one long movie. It's so worth it.

Readster

Toothless's behaviours and movements were, in fact, based off of one of the artist's cat. And yes, the sequels are undeniably worth watching.

Odd Thomas

I've only seen the sequels once and don't really remember much, but I'm totally up for a revisit.

Laura Dawson

Definitely watch the sequels, the whole series is really good.

Jim Frykman

ahh man i'm queuing this one up ASAP

Chints' Miniature Mistakes

Yes please do the sequels! They're really good. I personally like the 2nd movie better than the first.

Samuel Newman

Should definitely do Reign of Fire (2002) another dragon film with Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey, and Gerard Butler again.

Presto2222

Love this movie, and loved watching it again with you too. It always gets me in the feels, but sharing the experience with good-hearted people like you makes it that much better/stronger.

Monica Alarcon

The sequels are as good or even better as this one...

Mati D.

Please do all 3.

Ginger

Please watch the sequels, they're really good. Bring tissues! <3

The Scottish accent thing actually has historical context. Vikings as we know them were actually comprised of MANY tribes of people. Including the Norse, which were the largest and therefore more closely associated with them, as well as the Celts, Gaels, Saxons, Bretons, and Angles. Those last five groups comprise the ancestors and precursors to the modern citizens of the UK. So there were actually "Scottish" Vikings.

Joshua DeRoode

Not sure of this is the spot for this, but I suggest Untouchables, Casino and Johnny Dangerously.

sol stapleton

The sequels are great and the TV show

Huckleberry lobo

DreamWorks man, they just have a way of making animation entertaining for both kids and adults. Hopefully you guys checkout some of their other works like Shrek.

wroot

Was going to suggest the same when they were talking about dragons and people co-existing together. Well, surviving actually :)

James O'Sullivan

The sequels are great and hope you watch them soon. The first 2 are amongst my favourite films. The third is the weakest imo, but still good. I want to shout out the music, the music is fantastic and was the soundtrack to my trip around Iceland

James O'Sullivan

Note on David Tennant, I've heard two accounts. One that he had a bigger part but it was cut. The other that it was a cameo because he was the narrator of the audiobooks.

JoeySnowyNoey

These movies started to come out when I was in middle school so I was more secretive about my love for these movies. But they are really good.

Steve Mercier

This movie--this trilogy--is spectacular. By all means, do the whole lot.

Pearl Jam

This entire trilogy is worth it. And for DreamWorks sake, KungFu Panda 3. And it looks like George needs to watch Aladdin too!

Luca

Toothless face was modeled after a salamander and his behaviour and acting was inspired by a cat

djKENTO

How is Craig Ferguson the most annoying person in late night WHEN HE WAS REPLACED WITH THE MOST ANNOYING PERSON IN SHOW BUSINESS???!!!

Michael Bourke

All three movies are great, definitely worth watching. And yes, the animator has said that toothless was based on his cat. As for David Tennant, I had the same reaction, where was he, had to look up who his character was. I think he said maybe one word in the whole movie.

Jared Winn

Haven’t watched the 3rd movie but the second one is also very good.

Dustin Duvall

If there's space, on the next comedy poll can we have Eurotrip? Thanks for the content :)

Dustin Duvall

Bananas in pajamas coming down the stairs, in pairs, chasing teddy bears. Childhood memory unlocked. If I recall, it was 100% pajamas lol.

Logan Kerlee

I'm VERY happy that you both enjoyed this so much! I remember watching this when it came out with my ex wife and her family. We bought it for them, lol, we wound up watching it nonstop for a solid week! This movie makes me feel so happy! It let's the relationships actually develop between each of the characters. Not JUST the couple's relationship but also between the father and son. xD That nerdy chunky kid! I loved him! So many stats! hahaha, I remember laughing so hard throughout when I first watched this! :) You're not alone SImone - it's definitely an emotional one! Really affected me.

Logan Kerlee

Yeah - I won't be disappointed until I watch but I certainly won't have high hopes.

Rash Bandicoot

This was awesome! I had never really thought this was my type of movie, but that was great. Thank you!

Jameson Yates

I've waited for this for a long time. You ABSOLUTELY have to do the two sequels.

Lizzy Gucker

This is one of my favorite movie of all time. BOTH sequels are fantastic. Please watch!!!

sarCC

The 2nd movie is mostly great. A little long and over-stuffed, but alot of good stuff in it. I think the third one is much better. But definitely watch both.

Steve H

So there are 3 different "How to train" your dragons the one with Netflix seemed a little different, I wish you could match each one. Thanks for nothing.

Odd Thomas

Some other good dragon movies: Dragonheart Beowulf Reign of Fire

TheSentry77

In my opinion, both sequels are absolutely worth the watch. Man, I hadn't watched the first one in a long time, and it really is just as good as I remembered.

Guy Gordon

Sequels are definitely worth the watch. A great trilogy.

Tanx

There are also 3 Netflix series/short movies. there is a short film called Dawn of the Dragon Racers that takes place after movie 1 and leads into the series Race to the Edge which leads up to a few months before the 2nd movie. It's been years since I watched them, but if I remember they were pretty good. I don't think the animation quality and music is quite up there with the films, but still quality dreamworks animation.

Lachlan Caldwell

"Hey Everybody, and welcome to Cinebinge. My name is Simone and this is George, and this is where we watch movies and television, and I make up weird-ass things to say in the intro that have you all wondering: "What the heck has she been smoking this time?""

Thomas Williamson

For Animation, the sequence is script-->storyboard-->voices-->animation.

Chase Lonnergan

Bananas in Pyjamas, are coming down the stairs. Bananas in Pyjamas, are coming down in pairs!

Raven Dark

I had never seen this movie before watching it with you two just now. Not sure why, but I just thought it wouldn't interest me. I love being proven wrong. This was a great movie, and what a fantastic reaction. I'd love for you to watch the sequels, especially since I see so many people on here love them. Hiccup's father reminded me a little of Abuela in Encanto, with regards to his interactions with his son. I love the story arc and how they reconciled at the end. For another movie with a similar type of humor, I recommend you watch the movie, The Croods. It's so good, and I think you would both love it. I feel like a broken record, because I say this every time, but great job, Simone and George. Looking forward to more reactions to other animated films!
