Julian G

This is the first poll I've voted in on patron. Let's go insidious

Gary Poussard

Poltergeist is a classic.Well worth a look.

redddfer44

Whoo, Evil Dead and Bram Stoker's Dracula!

Eric Santiago

Please people vote for Bram Stokers Dracula haha

Cinebinge

Reminder to all: It's just movies, everyone has different preferences and tastes. Do not stoop to insulting, berating or belittling others for their preference in movies. Doing so will result in a permanent ban. We want to keep this place pleasant, there's plenty of ugly out in the world already, lets not track that mud into this house :)

Dane Winton

You want to scare Simone? It’s Evil Dead time 😈

auto

Dracula is so good

john blake

I think Simone deserves Keanu Reeves..go Dracula 🤣

Dale Smith

Voting for TTCM, can't wait to watch whichever ones you pick. It'll be a fun time for sure. Also, I'm hoping for an IT Chapter Two reaction sometime soon. I recently re-watched your Chapter One reaction and forgot how much fun it was for you guys, hope you eventually watch the sequel and enjoy it :D

Naw

Yassssssssssssssssssssssss; Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, AND Ash vs The Evil Dead ALLLLLL neeeeeeeeed to be eventual things too....

Jon

Bram Stokers Dracula is not the most scary, but it's a beautiful movie here, and by far :) the cast, the music, the design, ... you MUST watch it !

Fernando Alamán

Given the poll's genre, obligatory reminder of "Let The Right One In", a 2008 Swedish romantic horror film

Jobbe Smit

Some horror suggestions for future polls: It Follows Arachnophobia Fallen Dead Alive The Descent

The Gunslinger

"The luckiest man who walks on this earth. Is the one who finds.... true love." Bram Stokers Dracula is a must watch. Gary Oldman is phenomenal as Dracula.

werewolfhunger

1. Terminator 3 (2003) 2. JFK (1991) 3. Predators (2010) 4. Alien: Resurrection (1997) 5. Insomnia (2002) 6. Scarface (1986) 7. War Dogs (2016) 8. Limitless (2011) 9. Yes Man (2008) 10. The Nice Guys (2016) 11. The Big Short (2015) 12. Ronin (1998)

Mikebdrx

Evil dead franchise is so good. The first one has a different feel than the rest but maybe eventually you can do the Ash vs Evil series on Tuesdays.

auto

The descent is great

JoeySnowyNoey

I’d love to see any of these. Insidious would probably be hilarious considering how jumps are filled that film is. Lol

Florian

Evil dead is more like a comedy. Let it be Conjuring, it fucked me up so hard...

JayF

Evil Dead and the sequels all the way here. Poltergeist would be my next choice from this list. Future horror poll suggestions - Christine (1983, a very underrated Stephen King adaptation) Tremors (1990, going to keep putting it here until you watch it) Slither (2006, another horror comedy. This one stars Nathan Fillion) Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) Underwater (2020, an almost really good one that is partly Cinecringe worthy) Quarantine (2008)

Joe Mallard

If you're a film maker, the best two films are easily Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween.

Thomas Hilbert

Shouldn't "IT Chapter Two" be on that list?

Jeff Norwood-Brown

I can’t help noticing Paul has yet to appear. I have mentioned it before. It’s a jolly good film. Simon and Greg would enjoy it I’m sure.

Tim T—

Horror is not my genre, but I left a vote for Dracula. How could I not? It has Winona Ryder!

Chris Gentry

When are we getting IT Chapter 2?

Martin

It, Chapter 2?

Martin

Dracula is the best movie on the poll by a country mile. Gary Oldman’s performance as Vlad Dracula is worth the watch.

Viilutaja

I would remove the first Evil Dead and add Evil Dead Rise (2023). The Descent would be in that list for me, definetly a movie that will stay with you and so out of the box of typical horror!

Opti_Frog

I am pleased to see that the crappy Blumhouse movies are losing against the classics, but pretty shocked that Texas Chain Saw Massacre is doing so poorly. Here is a ready-made horror-comedy poll for ya! What We Do in the Shadows Braindead/Dead Alive Return of the Living Dead One Cut of the Dead Drag Me to Hell Ravenous Fright Night

Cookoo b. W!erd?

Texas chainsaw massacre will definitely give Simone some issues but go bacl to the original bela legosi Dracula, last house on the left will give her some serious issues, and think outside the box and try Winnie the pooh blood and honey just to ruin her childhood

Richard Maurer

Evil Dead and Halloween. How a kid's movie like Poltergeist is beating Halloween I'll never know.

Brendan Rafferty

The Howling Dead Alive An American Werewolf in London Videodrome

Martin

Sinister needs to be on a horror poll somewhere. Scary AF.

Duncan

Stephen King's "Apt Pupil (1998)" It stars Ian Mackellan/Gandalf for George and it has a cat in the movie for Simone What more can you ask for ,all bases covered

Alexander Sparf

I'm just hoping Bram Stoker's Dracula receives a high priority despite not having a chance at winning the poll. Terrific film.

Jeff K.

Voted Evil Dead because I need for them to get to Army of Darkness at some point.

Zero

Ok so I have a question. Maybe it's only me but for the quite a while now I have only been able to pick one movie while the poll says pick all that apply 🤔

Jade Richardson

Almost in time for spooky season! Have a great week everybody!

David Martin

Scariest movie that's not a bloody film is Audition, a Japanese film.

Shane Darcy

Consider adding ‘Possession’ (1981) to your next horror poll please!

Jay

Anything but Coppolla's Dracula, PLEASE! For one thing, it doesn't even qualify if the point is scaring Simone. Seeing as Scream has received of 100s of votes on multiple previous polls and isn't here, I'm guessing it's pencilled in for October? Repeating myself but Scream does outright spoil the ending of Friday the 13th, the characters also watch Halloween at one point and we see several scenes. I'd say it's nothing a modern day trailer wouldn't give away, so I wouldn't worry too much about the Halloween "spoilers" in Scream. But if you have any interest in reacting to Friday the 13th, I would urge you to watch it before you watch Scream. It will be better for us, trust me:)

Michael Buhl

I voted for The Evil Dead, but I think Halloween is also a must.

evilmunky

what about "the sadness" or martyrs wholesome family horror films lol

Angie

i’ll throw El Orfanato (2007) , The Devil’s Backbone (2001), and Audition (1999) into the suggestion box. the first two aren’t horribly scary but the films are gorgeous and the stories are kind of heartbreaking. Audition is a gnarly watch and absolutely unforgettable in a most disturbing way. i agree with all the folks who suggested The Descent, though i think the ending in the UK version is far superior than the ending in the US version. i gather that Simone is a cat person, so i also suggest Cat’s Eye (1985). it’s 80s cheesy but still a fun collection of three vignettes connected by the presence of a cat. any smokers or ex-smokers (i’m an ex-smoker) will probably relate to the Quitters, Inc story. love your channel! it’s one of the best i've come across! :)

Mark D

Shame The Grudge is not on the list.

Jay

More October recommendations The Descent It Follows REC Hush The Invisible Man Get Out Barbarian 20th century - The Wicker Man Don't Look Now Child's Play The Omen Sleepaway Camp (an all time favourite of mine that could easily qualify for Cinecringe 😂)

AlimonyMoney

The evil dead is not a scary movie. It is satire/parody movie.

Garrett Jay Christian

I dunno if it's necessarily the scariest, but I feel like Texas Chainsaw would have the most interesting commentary/conversation. 🤷‍♂️

David Crabtree

My pick from this is easily Poltergeist. Other picks I would have recommended are Paranormal Activity 2, Jeepers Creepers, Creepshow, and Frailty.

Johnny B. Goode

The first Halloween is amazing, Texas Chainsaw is very good too. Here are a few movie recommendations: Dead Presidents, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, The Irishman. That's all I can think of right now, love the channel!

YYZHawk

How is Poltergeist winning this, it’s the least scary of them all

Joe

That's a tough choice, but I have to go with Halloween. Scared the piss out of me as a kid.

JC

Good selection but gutted not to see the original "Hellraiser" on here. With them having watched "Saw" recently, it would be cool to see an earlier horror that was considered extreme be reacted to.

CJ

I don't know if you guys have seen it but if you haven't, please consider having Simone watch The Descent (2005)

Jonah

I'd really like to see you guys react to paranormal activity 2 and 3. I think there's like 6 or 7 of them, but I'm pretty sure the first three are all part of the same trilogy, and the rest are likely cash grabs, or at least different story lines I'm pretty sure. I'm not 100% so please don't assume the rest suck because of my statement. they could all be good. But I only remember the first 3 maybe 4.

Frank from Vegas

I’d like to throw Braindead, aka Dead Alive into the mix on the next Horror poll.

MacGuffinStuff

Oh man, another of those polls where I'm basically: ALL OF THE ABOVE. They're all either new horror classics or classic horror classics. I personally love Poltergeist because it's just such a well made movie, some of the FX have aged poorly but still, the writing, the acting, it's a true classic. But so is Halloween, and Texas Chainsaw, and.... Honestly I'm a huge horror fan, and after seeing how Simone handled Hereditary, I think she can handle any of these, so I'm voting for the two, or four, I think are the best made. Great poll though, respect. Also, for future polls, Exorcist 3 is a vastly underrated movie, slow burn but so creepy, I personally prefer it to the first (don't worry about part 2, it didn't happen lol). Edit: for me, Bram Stoker's Dracula is a horror- romance, and kind of the outlier in this poll, I really love it (Popcorn In Bed absolutely hated it lol), but I think Simone might like it, or not, but I do think it's a great movie.

Gary Trousdale

The Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn is the one you want. The first one is basically the student film version; #2 is the legendary version (actually a remake of #1, but with a budget and professional filmmakers)

Dirge Girl

30 Days of Night (2007)

Wrencher86

Genuinely thrilled to see the love for Ravenous down here in the comments. Hopefully it gets a reaction one day (it will never win a poll).

David Crabtree

Hope to see you guys tackle the Scream movie series.

sarCC

Halloween!...because then we can finally watch Scream!

Hollis Hamilton

I'd love to see you react to Arachnophobia. Spiders were mentioned in a video some time ago, and based on Simone's reaction, I think it would do the job quite nicely if you are trying to scare her.

Andreas Bergerstedt

Something really scary (and excellent) is "The others" with Nicole Kidman. Noone reacts to it!

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Lots of good choices...all are good movies..not all are best for reactions imo... I voted for The Conjuring but not mad about Poltergeist leading...it is a classic

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Other films in this category I'd like to request... Barbarian (2022), The Witch (2015)

redddfer44

I lovelovelove the first Evil Dead AND the second one. I highly recommend checking out both.

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Other added requests for recent films.. Where the Crawdads Sing, Super Mario Bros Movie, Megan

Rachel W

A great horror film that is for some reason mostly forgotten is "Angel Heart"(1987) with Robert DeNiro and Micky Rourke. Many from this list are great...Poltergeist, the Conjuring, TCM are all great films. The original Evil Dead isn't at all scary-it's just gross.

HeyHeyJK

There's a couple I could choose but I'm only going with Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's pretty much the OG for modern horror films. I just hope Bram Stoker's Dracula doesn't win. Gorgeous looking film but, meh, for me at least.

Jeff I.

Also throwing out a suggestion for Barbarian (2022), since it would make for a great reaction, I think. As for the poll, I have to go with Texas Chainsaw and The Conjuring. I also gave Halloween a sympathy vote, although I think a some of its appeal is lost on people who grew up with all the more recent horror films (like the last 20 years or so) that make it look pretty tame/bland in comparison.

David Crabtree

My favorite version of Dracula is George Hamilton is Love At First Bite!

David Swindell

I'm fairly certain The Conjuring will scare the shit out of Simone.

Suzane

Something else to suggest not really a horror but close. The Sign with Mel Gibson.

James Falato

I go for the 'Spine Tingly Music Scare" as opposed to the "Shock and Gore Scare"... So I went with "Halloween" and "Poltergeist"...

Kelly Pickard

Highly, HIGHLY recommend "The Haunting of Hill House" as an October TV series. Just A-tier horror storytelling, can't recommend it enough.

Middy

I worry that watching The Evil Dead might mean you never get around to watching Evil Dead 2, but I voted for it anyway. Just bear in mind they're very different movies and 2 is generally the one most favoured by horror fans.

Long-time Sci-Fi Enthusiast

Though not horror films, I think the 1973 (Soylent Green) or the 1975 (Rollerball) would have worked.

Chappie_nottherobot

I will cry the day they react to An American Werewolf in London. Absolute masterpiece of horror and comedy. It’s the best of both worlds for Simone and George.

Eva Combs

I was about to compare your reaction of The Mist to Train to Busan and can't see that you've done that one! I vote for Train to Busan!

Mike Miner

I always get confused between The Conjuring and Insidious. Nothing against either movie, but it's funny how both have the same director and star, were released within a few years of each other, and have such generic titles.

S C G

Why do we want to scare Cine-Mommy?

Maarten Martens

I still need to see Evil Dead, what a great opportunity.

Rob Church

Gotta be Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Second choice would be Halloween.

Martin

It Follows would scare the hell out of Simone. A truly disturbing movie.

Jay Davis

I second those suggesting Signs. But I'd add The Mothman Prophecies (2002) as a very creepy alternative.

Jon Burrows

Have not read through all the replies but I was disappointed to not see Sinister on the list. I think that would definitely do the trick

Huckleberry lobo

Knocked Up (2007) - for when Simone needs a laugh cuz I know she'll need it after this poll, especially if Conjuring wins 🤣

WastedPo

I'm voting for The Evil Dead solely out of hope that it will lead to "Evil Dead 2."

DM DC

Evil dead is a classic and I love it to death Ha! But in all honesty I don't think it would scare her nearly as much as The Conjuring, or Poltergeist. I am voting for Evil Dead though as one of my choices, just because it's Evil Dead. I'd like them to do all the Evil Deads and the series eventually!

G P

Bram Stoker's Dracula is amazing, but people shit on it due to Keanu's and Winona's abysmal performances. Hope you get around to it because its absolutely worth watching for Hopkins and Oldman.

Johnny Liu

The irony being that the current winner of the poll will make Simone laugh…. But I’m here for it

FranciscoGios

Evil Dead is where scary is nuts. And I’m surprised that Bram Stokers Dracula is not in first place or The Conjuring 🤔

Rnd1000

No matter what wins you have to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacare sometime its just that good.

Eversharpe

Horror movies rely way too much on gore and jumpscares to be truly scary. I find films like Silence of the Lambs, Clockwork Orange, Prisoners, One Hour Photo, American History X, Hard Candy to name some that have marked me, much scarier.

Jacob King

Dracula is underrated, I don’t know about scary though.

Pearl Jam

Movie Suggestion: We’re the Millers It’s one of my favorite comedies! Also “Accepted” may be a good one for back-to-school time next month.

Michael Gryphon

You should watch Ernest Scared Stupid! It's the most horrific movie ever!!

Joh

It 2 pleaaaase again sorryyy

Matthew Johnson

The Evil Dead is fun as a horror concept and an example of creative filmmaking but not that fun a watch. I think you'll find that when you watch it. Evil Dead 2 on the other hand is a blast from beginning to end. I was hoping for The Conjuring, a legitimately terrifying experience. But I know you guys will get to it eventually. :) Either way, I can't wait to see how angry Simone gets at George during the watch.

Dirge Girl

John Carpenter's They Live (1988)

The Pentagenarian

Keep Hoping to see "Event Horizon" show up for "Scare Simone"... Of course, I guess she does need her sleep...

Peter Hudson

2 that I think many would like to see a reaction for are: John Wick Chapter 4, and 12 Angry Men (the one from 1957)

Jacob King

When we get to the poll for horror movies Simone would love Happy Death Day should be on it

P U F F

The first 2 Halloween films are essential horror classics. The third one is also very fun despite the controversies surrounding it but still, ya gotta see the first 2. I'd honestly save it for October obviously XD

Dazzler & Em

This is a poll where everything is worth watching. Maybe for October you should do a Horror movie marathon🤣🤣

Skarr

I don't think I've seen the movie Moon with Sam Rockwell mentioned very often. If neither of you have seen it, please put it in a poll. It's an outstanding performance in the same vein as Tom Hanks' Cast Away, the setting and themes are very sci-fi, and there's a slightly horrifying revelations, as any good scifi reflection on humanity should.

Skarr

If you want to scare/gross out Simone, Nick Cage in the movie Mandy will prevent her from sleeping... really without any jump scares, just really good psychological horror and gore.

HeyHeyJK

Wait ... how do we get 'Train to Busan' on the channel?? They'll be as blown away by that one as they were for "Children of Men". IMHO, the best zombie film ever made (although "Shaun of the Dead" will always by my favorite).

Chase Lonnergan

Can we all be honest and admit that we are only getting through Evil Dead to get to Evil Dead II? And... Of course... Beverly Hills Cop II Count of Monte Cristo (2002) Clue From Dusk til Dawn Short Circuit Pweeeeease?

Logan Nelson

2 questions... 1. How does cinebinge not have a discord? 2. How is there no place to discuss critical roles happenings lol?

Scott Elsasser

"Lets Scare Simone" and no mention of Jeepers Creepers?

Stewart Denew

I think Watership Down, Plague Dogs or Where the Wind Blows would be more effectively scary.. or maybe Threads.

Dirge Girl

Dark City (Director's Cut) (1998/2008) The Director's Cut omits an opening monolog that gives away the game.

Dazzler & Em

For next horror poll the remake of the hills have eyes would be a worthy inclusion. Its brutal and sure to create great reactions from you both.

nossieboy

I can't believe Texas Chainsaw came second last. Hooper "directed" Poltergeist as well and TCM is way better.

Nicodemus Archleone

The Descent & The Strangers would be my picks for movies that could result in Simone evacuating.

Kwazimoto69

I'm surprised The Others (2001) wasn't included. A master class in how to do a ghost story. The Daniel Radcliffe remake of A Woman in Black (2011) is also excellent.

Chase Schleich

As so many others have said, The Descent and The Others really need added to the list. Two all time great horror films. Also, Wrong Turn starring Eliza Dushku (from Buffy which Simone loves) and The Hills Have Eyes (original or remake, both are great).

Victoria Davis

Im a sucker for the 90s teen horrors like I Know What You Did Last Summer, Faculty, Disturbing Behavior, Idle Hands, Urban Legends

Monica Alarcon

Dang it, Poltergeist was so close.... I love The Evil Dead movies but Poltergeist is still my favorite horror movie...

Zombie Brad

Can't wait for you guys to watch evil dead hope you guys watch the others great movies
