Jackie Chan did do a serious film a few years ago called The Foreigner which was brilliant. No martial arts just pure acting. Very well done movie that shows Jackies range.

George I actually have a question for you that you might actually know regarding Hong Kong, or maybe just Cantonese in general. During the scene where they are on the big yacht at the party still in Hong Kong on the harbor I guess, there's a band and a lady in a green dress singing. I've always really liked the sound of her and the accompanying band; How would you classify that kind of music that she's singing and stuff? Hong Kong Jazz? Cantonese Jazz? Or does it just sound jazzy to my American ears. Anyways, any insight you can shed would be awesome.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, considered by many to be the best Batman movie, is finally out on 4K blu-ray. I’d LOVE to see y’all react to it. It’s a GORGEOUS movie. It’s only gotten better with age. I really hope you’ll consider it. I’m not normally a movie recommend commenter, but this one means a lot to me.

Oh I forgot Ernie Reyes Jr was in this! This dude rules. He plays Zing. He was in The Last Dragon which was the perfect intersection of imported martial arts films and the blacksploitation film movement of the 70s. Then he was a stunt performer in the first Ninja Turtles movie and starred in the sequel. He also beat the utter shit out of The Rock in a movie.
