I can’t believe you guys are already covering this. This seems right up your alley. On the surface it seems like a wacky comedy, but because of Greta Gerwig really has a strong opinion on a variety of topics. I really liked it. It made me a laugh, especially the meta references. Those were great.

I'm so torn. I haven't seen the movie yet, and I feel like I should before watching this.

Nathan Swapp

WB put out a music video of Im just Ken using BTS rehearsal footage, it's really fun. Watch it when you can.

Corabal

I can't wait to watch this

In regards to this movie I just didn’t find it to be laugh out loud funny. It was chuckle in my head funny but I nvr really laughed out loud. I got everything they were saying but I felt it was too forward with the message. Maybe some dudes needed to have it told out loud to them this way. For me though I just thought it could’ve been a lot funnier. While also telling its truths.

Obviously you two should check out "2001" from Stanley Kubrick, but you might also enjoy a movie with a premise similar to "Barbie"...Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Last Action Hero".

Hi Scott! Good news - you can find their reaction to Last Action Hero on Patreon and YouTube!

Timothy McNerney

Thank you for not cutting the ending! So many reactors cut it out for some reason but it has so much weight and really ties the whole movie together

tundra

Two movies I think you'd both like. Drugstore Cowboy and Say Anything. Both from 1989.

Agreed. It was a little heavy handed at times. Also, when Sacha called Barbie a Fascist...I don't think whoever wrote that line knows the definition of the word.

I assume it's because the entire scene is played over a Billie Eilish song so it would be impossible to keep most of it up.

Alan Kobb

Seeing Simone wearing SO MUCH PINK is just so troubling. Just very unsettling.... :-)

Ludovic Ligot

Barbie Simone and Ken George are SOOO CUUUTE !! 😂

Lucifer Moon

I love this movie and I love that one of the Barbies is played by a fellow Transfem.

Lucifer Moon

I also love that they got Slash from GNR to help with the I'm Just Ken song.

Omg, George and Simone haven't seen "2001: A Space Odyssey"?!!!!
