Yesssss

Fernando Alamán

Thanks for this. You won't be doing more monthly "CineTalk & After Thoughts", I assume?

Astraeos

OH SHIIIIIIIIT. YESSSS. Thanks for this one guys! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I have for the last 30 years basically.

Cinebinge

its on pause for now :) we working on ways to improve it and have it be more appealing to everyone.

Cincassette

"Love Actually" would be another great Christmas movie for you to watch! Also, for me the Christmas season starts on the 1st Sunday of Advent and ends on Three Kings Day. My family doesn't practice Catholicism or any religion for that matter, but these traditions still remain in my family and across Germany.

Christopher Feiertag

Delightful reaction as always. As long as you‘re still in the mood for something out of the ordinary, how about experiencing „The Rocky Horror Picture Show“ from 1975 for the first time?

JayF

Gimme a like if you are all in on more Simone singing in reactions.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Danny Elfman is also the lead singer etc. of Oingo Boingo, who had a couple of hits in the 80s that I think have aged pretty well like, Dead Man's Party and Just Another Day.

akaTheBARON

🖤George "You gotta change that underwear everyday" then me writing in my notebook "I'm writing this down, this is good stuff" XD

Opti_Frog

This is my christmas movie. I watch it every year on christmas eve. Guess i'll watch it early this year. 😄

akaTheBARON

🖤I agree with Simone that your neighborhood and what others do play a role but if we're putting dates and timeframes to Christmas decorations here's where I stand: The earliest would be December 1st. If you're that person who puts up the tree the second Thanksgiving is over, no harm I guess, but I'm also going to assume you're the person in a group during a zombie apocalypse who will get bitten and not tell anyone. For the latest, January 2nd is ideal, or if that's during a work week, that weekend. If you're pushing it with having decorations up past January 7th, you're definitely the type of person who finds any excuse to say the word "Cuba" just so you can be heard pronouncing it "Cooba" ... SMH...

Joshua M Freeman

The weekend after Thanksgiving is when Christmas lights should be put up.

W T

That sounds reasonable, where I'm from we are doing advent calendars, so basically around December, a dedicated thingamajig with 24 pockets was put up for our parents to stuff with awfully creative little chocolates and things. All of December or so feels right, not that I am an awful lot into any sort of holiday season. It's about tasteful lights, no dumb flashing colors or grotesque displays of the sun's strength at close distance - just some nice decorations. There is never a time for these insane distraction pieces, unless you're way outside where you just can't bother anyone. Then again, I don't think I even like those gaudy million-dollar projects for the effort they represent... mostly because they still end up just looking like absolute ass. Buy some clementines, nuts, make Pastitsio, i.e. the best Christmas dish by a long margin, and maybe buy nice doilies and lights worth a couple dozen bucks - fits the mood infinitely better than half my neighborhood whipping out their insecurities about the night being a bit too dark for their tastes. I think I saw a Christmas show with one of these play fountains choreographed to Enya's Only Time once when I was younger, and I totally loved that, so not entirely opposed to the idea of great performances at all.

Astraeos

Alright so, I think I'm all for not seeing anything at all Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving, even in stores. Used to be that way, but yeah. As far as taking them down, I'm pretty lenient I think, especially if its just decorations inside the house, I've seen them up until February in lots of places. Also, I truly hope A Charlie Brown Christmas is in your consideration for these "Extra" Christmas movies. Its truly one of the best Christmas classics. Great story, great morals, and honestly the best and truly iconic soundtrack of Christmas that exists. Definitely hope its considered, especially because its only 25 mins long. Should be easily fit in

JokerDanny

Please react to Muppets Christmas Carol.

Amos T Fairchild

We bring out the Sally and Jack decorations for both Halloween and Christmas. lol.

djKENTO

Hot take incoming… Tim Burton gets too much credit for this movie. he was barely in studio when it was being made because he was directing Batman Returns. He also just straight up isn’t the director. He came up with the concept and drew sketches and then handed it off to other writers and composers and then made another movie on his own. But people talk about it like it’s solely his big thing.

Jared Spotted Eagle

Walt Disney Records released an album called Nightmare Revised containing some of Danny Elfmans scores and covers of the songs done by a variety of artists. Marilyn Manson covers This is Halloween (my favorite cover), Flyleaf does What's This, Korn covers Kidnap the Sandy Claws. Those are my favorite tracks but there are a lot more. Check it out if you're interested. It was really well done.

Persnickity

Thank you for the bonus christmas content idea. I got really bored with all of the reactors covering only scary movies. Frankenweinie is the movie your talking about

Ian Hunt

Simone singing along is joyous, and reminding me of when i first saw this in theatres when it was released. How amazed and happy i was and how baffled my mom was

sarCC

What a lovely surprise!

Jay

Please please please tell me that It's a Wonderful Life is filling one of these Xmas slots? I know yous don't generally do older movies but that is one of the quintessential Xmas movies and IMO, the best.... by a distance. Even George will need a tissue:)

j2s

Speaking of Christmas lights, you should take a look at National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Matches the season as well.

djKENTO

oh one more thing… google Disneyland Jack Skellington… the most cursed character in the parks.

REDR58

Definitely they should do NL Christmas Vacation, post haste!

REDR58

I have permanent outdoor lights not but I turn them on the day after Thanksgiving and off a week or two into January. I love looking at Christmas lights but I don’t need to see it starting in October.

REDR58

Totally agree but speaking of his Batman, Simone and George really need to check out the 1989 Batman and then Batman Returns. And then stop there.

Odd Thomas

Never got into this, which is weird because I love animation, Tim Burton, Halloween and Christmas

Persnickity

Afterthought sidenote on youbtoobs the acapella group voiceplay does a cover of Oogie Boogie man that is pure fire

Reid Mclellan

Thank you very much for the extra content. The piggies have been satiated for now

MatthewBrown74m

It's both a Christmas movie and Halloween movie just watch it around Halloween and watch around Christmas That's the beauty of this movie

Chase Lonnergan

My opinion, as an American, is to wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving. Also... This is literally Hot Topic: The Movie. P.S. I really hope that A Muppet Christmas Carol is up this year. It's not just the best version of A Christmas Carol, it's also the best Muppet movie.

E. D.

I´d say it´s more of a Christmas movie bc it takes place longer in that world and it fascinates Skellington.

China Andronicus

You actually heard two Beetlejuice actors here. The mayor is voiced by the actor who played Otho in Beetlejuice. Henry Selick doesn’t get the credit he deserves for this film. Amazing director, he also did films like Coraline and Wendell & Wild.

Chase Schleich

Yay! Cinebinge got us a few presents for Christmas! Thank you guys!

Naturekitty5309

Simone keep singing. Maybe they should watch Mamma Mia....wonder if Simone knows the lyrics to that one too.

Eric S

Surprised you guys didn't catch it, {at this point of the movie} The mayor is a two faced politician! :}

Chase Schleich

Burton was unable to direct Nightmare Before Christmas because he was directing Batman Returns at the time. It was his concept and story, but he actually had very little involvement in the film itself aside from checking in from time to time.

Den Radar Ryan

Ooh you got me with this one as with 'Beetlejuice' 💙 Composer Danny Elfman is my hero as a musician. 😊🎶🐦‍⬛

Chase Schleich

You should not decorate for Christmas until at least December 23rd and it should all be taken down by December 27th. At least that's how I usually do it lol.

Jesse Coombs

This is most definitely a Henry Selick movie, but as far as Tim Burton goes, I'd love to see a reaction to Ed Wood or Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

Scott McClintock

“This is a short movie.” I’m betting the folks that meticulously moved the puppets 24 times per second of film, have a different opinion about the runtime. 😆

Den Radar Ryan

Composer Danny Elfman wrote all the music and performs the singing voice of Jack Skellington. He has composed the music for more than 100 films including 20+ films directed by Tim Burton. He was also the singer and primary songwriter for the 80s new wave band 'Oingo Boingo'. He performs songs from this movie every year live. 💙🎧🎶🐦‍⬛

Dustin Duvall

The newest Christmas classic Violent Night should go in a poll 😀

droodly

This was awesome! I'm hoping your couple of weeks worth of extra xmas movies (you said it. NO take backsies!) include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005) The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)

Middy

Simone suggesting we talk to our neighbours is the most unrealistic part of the Christmas decorations debate.

MikeBdrx

If Scrooged with Bill Murray is one of them my year will be complete.

Mr. Writhms

What’s this?! The holidays again! What’s this? The spending never ends. What’s this? I think I’ll file for bankruptcy-- and then I can be free! What’s THIS?!

John

The extra content is great, and I certainly appreciate it, I also would strongly recommend the Long Kiss Goodnight as a great movie with a Christmas theme and Geena Davis and Samuel Jackson

Logan Kerlee

Watching this with you both was so much fun! :) Really enjoyed myself!

The Maestro

the only thing I know about a sequel to this was there was an old video game that addressed the events of this movie and had a different story like it was a continuation of this one

Shpadow

"It's scary, but not mean." Until you meet Shock, Lock, and Barrel. They pretty much state why everyone except Jack gives them a wide berth. Their entire song rapidly devolves into turning a planned kidnapping into a planned murder, and they honestly can't tell the difference. They're *lethal*.
