919 Magic Items, the Malzari & Free Monsters! (Patreon)

We've been very busy lately on our D&D Twitch Streams, here are some of the fruits of our labors, and what you can expect before the end of the month!

Crit Awards Reminder

First, we'd like to remind everyone, if you haven't taken the time to submit nominations for the CritAwards, it only takes about 5 minutes and could be a big opportunity for us! Check out the details here. The post also includes the Expanded Version of our Oneiraxi Species, which will be available for everyone until the final voting for the CritAwards closes at the end of May.

The Malzari, Balance in Paradox

In Dungeons & Dragons lore, a Tiefling or Aasimar can be born from any pair of species if there is some extraplanar influence in their family history. For example, did you know that Percy and Vex'ahlia, canonically, have a Tiefling daughter? You can thank Percy's pact with Orthax for that!

Our new species the Malzari are inspired by the myth of the Nephilim and had us asking the question, what if someone was born from both the influences of the fiendish and the celestial? The art and layout for the Malzari is being finalized and we'll have it out ASAP!

10 Free Monsters

Later this week we'll also be releasing our Free Content for April which will include 10 monsters created on stream with the community. We're finishing up some last minute touches to make our stat blocks consistent with the new Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Monster Manual. The pack will also come with some magic items that might serve as appropriate rewards for slaying these monsters.

If you want to help create future beasties with us, drop by the Twitch Stream during the week days between 10am EST - 4pm EST.

Wanna Shoutout on the Podcast?

If you haven't listened to our D&D podcast yet since becoming a member of the community, you can fix that right here! We're on track to have our best month yet, so go take a listen or re-listen to your favorite episode!

Also, if you leave a Review or Comment on any episodes, we'll read them out when we see it on the next episode! But if you want us to actually give you some advice, consider leaving a submission for our AITA (In-Character Version!) segment! There's a very good chance we'll pick yours for one of the next few episodes!

Magic Item Additions!

And lastly, here are all the new Magic Items we've added to the Library for your to use in your Dungeons and Dragons campaigns! If you've used any of our items so far and are having fun with them, or if you have some notes or critiques on mechanics\balance, you can leave us feedback here! For items, subclasses, species, or one-shots!

Jade-Glassed Rabbit Egg. A late Easter-themed magic item that can have a very powerful effect when cracked open, but also risks a very deadly one. If you can keep it safe though, it might be worth a pretty copper one day.

Mark of the Mothman. Is it a curse, or a blessing? The opinions on that vary from person to person, but if you can weather the downsides, it does have its benefits.

Crown of the Ice Tyrant (artifact). This might be our longest magic item to-date, but brings with it several ice-themed powers and abilities. Fun fact: originally inspired by Adventure Time!

Moth Headband. A common magic item that is usually given to children at fey festivals, this item can cast a brief light spell and attract moths!

Riftmakers. These powerful bracers were inspired by and made as a thank for a future podcast guest of ours! Go check out their upcoming Kickstarter if you like monster hunting!

S'Ziel's Splintered Staff. The remnants of a fallen adventurer's staff, a tale that was ended long before it really began. It contains only fraction of the power it once had.

Amulet of Many Talents. This magic amulet can copy the strengths of those around you, boosting your own abilities by the same amount.

If you've made it this far, we want to take the time to once again thank you. Your support, even if it's just reading this and leaving likes and comments, means so much. We've been growing pretty steadily lately, meeting all kinds of new people on the Twitch Stream. If you'd like to take a more active role in the community, please join us in the Discord as well!
