940 Items, Next Subclass & Aura Thief! (Patreon)
Content
This week brings you a Curses, Weapons, Rings, an update on Aura Thief, and a poll for our next D&D Subclass! Read on, heroes!
Next Release Poll
We'll be releasing a poll this week for the Adventurer Tier and up to help decide what our next content release is. The options are based on interest shown during a few different polls in the Twitch Chat and the #TTRPG Channel of the Discord. Make sure you're following, or are in that channel if you want to help decide future options!
May Free Release
We'll be closing the poll for May's Free content tomorrow, you can still vote here to help decide which of these four Dungeons & Dragons subclasses we release to the public. If you haven't checked out all of our other free content, you can do that here!
May Release: Aura Thief
For our major release this month, anyone who has stopped by the Twitch Stream may have seen Robbie working on the Arcane Thief, which we've renamed to the Aura Thief. We have one more ability to finish up, and it'll be off to layout and art.
The Buff DM Returns
This week is a C&C Podcast week, so we hope you're looking forward to welcoming Ethan the Buff DM back! He joins Kali and I to talk about changing up your style of storytelling and Game Master(ing?) based on different systems or player needs. If you're an Adventurer tier or higher you can access to the RAW on Thursday, which has 10 more minutes of content, Friday will be release day.
Magic Item Update
Lastly, the Magic Items included in today's updates are as follows:
Blood Blight of Burning (Illustrated). A curse that boils the blood in your veins, but miracously doesn't harm you...so long as your blood stays on the inside. While afflicted by this curse, you can use that heat to your advantage.
Curse of the Living Shadow. This curse causes your shadow to gain a mind of your own, and if you can keep it under control, it can be a very powerful boon. But if not, you'll curse at the light that cast it.
Ring of the Blue Blur. An upgraded version of the Ring of the Speedster, this increases your speed, allows you to cast Haste on yourself, and makes you invincible if you fall in battle...but there may be a bit more to this ring as well...
Scepter of the Sugar Tyrant. Inspired by King Candy's scepter from Wreck-It-Ralph, this magical wand packs some powerful utility within it, and allows you to recharge it during the day under specific circumstances.
Weapon of the Blue Bolt. An electrifying enchantment for any kind of weapon, but beware, the energy from this magic armament can also have shocking results for failure.
J-Rock's Old Hand. A mechanical hand that once belonged to an (in)famous bard. This magic item is a tribute to one of our previous podcast guests, who you can also catch on the Two Part 'What Lurks Within' that we did in with the Tabletop Talespinner's Network.
Spool of Divination Thread. This peculiar spool of thread allows you to see through the eye of the spool and take in the sights of whatever it has been weaved into.
If you've used any of our items so far and are having fun with them, or if you have some notes or critiques on mechanics\balance, you can leave us feedback here! For items, subclasses, species, or one-shots!
We want to take the time to once again thank you. Your support, even if it's just reading this and leaving likes and comments, means so much. We've been growing pretty steadily lately, meeting all kinds of new people on the Twitch Stream. If you'd like to take a more active role in the community, please join us in the Discord as well!
