I keep hearing about this film and it sounds kind of semi-intriguing. So your impressions of it were kind of slightly above "meh" as I see. Perhaps something to watch just to kill time rather than something that really impresses?

I've watched worse. If you go into it expecting goofy B sci-fi that aspires to more than it achieves over too long a running time, you probably will find some enjoyment. I'd recommend a few dozen things ahead of it. Perhaps you are a Miles Teller completist. Or an Anya Taylor-Joy aficionado. Or a fan of large, terrestrial crevasses. I'd like to see a better edited version of it that fulfilled the ideas it sets up, and that doesn't waste Sigourney Weaver. It's not bad on the level of Aliens Vs. Predator or Godzilla X Kong, though.
