RevoluSound 2.0 Is Almost Here - And We’ve Made a Major Discovery (Patreon)

Hey everyone,

RevoluSound 2.0 is getting very close to release, and we have some exciting news about what comes next.

Our latest discoveries have opened up new possibilities for importing sounds beyond engines and exhausts. This is a major step forward for the project, giving us much more freedom to work on the smaller details that bring each car to life.

More than engine sounds

We can now explore new imports for:

- Backfires

- Turbo dump valves and blow-off valves

- Automatic transmission gearshift sounds

There is also a possibility that we may finally be able to add custom rev-limiter sounds. That is something we are particularly excited about, but it is not a confirmed feature or something we are ready to promise for 2.0 yet.

A first taste in 2.0

A small part of what these discoveries make possible will already be included in version 2.0.

The full potential goes much further than what we can include in this release. Rather than rushing everything into one update, we want to take the time to develop and refine these additions properly.

We genuinely cannot wait for you to hear what we have been working on.

Looking ahead to 2.1

The current plan for version 2.1 is to focus much more on refinement and detail, with very few new engine or exhaust imports.

Instead, the priority will be equalization, a more consistent audio balance, and expanding the range of backfires, valves and automatic gearshift sounds made possible by these discoveries.

Rev-limiter sounds could also become part of that work if the remaining possibilities prove viable.

The goal is not simply to add more sounds. It is to make the sounds work better together and give each car a more complete, convincing character.

2.0 is almost here. These discoveries give us an exciting direction for what follows.
