i am once again speechless...pure CINEMA though. i'll have 135 + the canon parts of the final episodes up on wednesday, 11/5! so excited to finish this out with you all!!!

P.S. i will NOT be starting shippuden this week! i'm going to take a small break and then start shippuden uploads on 11/14. i'll be making a post tomorrow with a poll asking for votes on whether or not to start with eps 119-120 or ep1, as well as gathering questions for a mini discussion/q&a/tier list. also as a reminder, i'll be watching shippuden with japanese VA/eng sub!

this fight being my number one fight in the OG Naruto series.. the words Naruto tells Sasuke about bringing him back to the village is just chilling. the fact they both admit of being friends and having that connection of friendship.. man it hits so hard… i love this series so much 🥹 animation & music… top tier 🤌🏼

there's a mixture of reasons - one of the reasons i chose the dub was because a lot of my peers grew up watching the dub and then switched to sub when shippuden was releasing since dub wasnt available, so i decided to do the same lol. there were also a lot of people upset that i watched OG dubbed, so i decided to compromise and watch shippuden subbed. i would also like to watch shippuden on crunchyroll instead of netflix because i've been told netflix has spoilers in the subtitles unfortunately, and crunchyroll only has sub. i am very happy i watched og dubbed though!!

So, there are some things you did missed and some thing only covered in the manga itself and just not explained in the anime at all. It's not a spoiler either. None of the kids knew Naruto had the Nine-Tails sealed in him, this was in the beginning of Naruto. They know of Nine-Tails, but they didn't know it was sealed in Naruto. The village itself was forbidden to speak about it. Also, Chakra has a different color, the anime made all chakra blue because it's easier to animate. It's explained when Naruto is training with Jiraiya during the Chunin Exams in the manga. Which is why the Nine-Tails chakra throws off his opponents and they keep saying what is this "red" chakra.

OG Naruto in dub is so good so i'm glad you watched it that way, but Shippuden is definitely better in sub so you have the right plan!

Ah I see. I am admittedly sad about it but I respect your decision! In comparison I probably would have felt too attached to their dub voices and certain charms for me to adjust so easily but its different for everyone I suppose. I would definitely recommend going back to watch certain fights and scenes in dub if you can at some point eventually. I personally enjoyed dub more throughout cause of some of my favorite english vas too lol.

I would say starting Shippuden with EP 119 is more original. All the other reactors started Shippuden with EP 1.

One of best choreographed, sound designed and scripted fights of all time. Also no 13 year olds should be doing no ish like this. I remember in the forest of death eps when orochimaru says to naruto “what an interesting childhood you must’ve had” like bro he’s still in childhood lol. Also switching to sub? GGs we not getting no shot for correct pronunciations of anything lol jkjk I mess with both versions.

I adored your reactions to these episodes, specifically how you reacted to them. Many other reactors are just hyped up about the action behind the fight scenes. Yes, while they are good for the hype and the excitement, I don't think it was as if Naruto wasn't holding back tears during before and after every blow he landed on Sasuke, his best friend. I like how you yelled aloud, "Stop!" whenever it came to their fight and were wincing whenever Sasuke struck Naruto. Like how Sasuke put it, that between two shinobi who do battle against each other, they can come to understand what's on each other's minds without an exchange of words. It's Naruto who wanted to stop fighting and simply talk things about, typically because he's an expert at what's known as "talk no Jutsu" in this show. But Sasuke wanted to fight, and that left Naruto no choice but to go all out. Again, the emotions in these episodes are as much wrapped up in them as the hype/excitement behind the action. It's a perfect blend between both, I believe.

I grew up on dub with OG naruto. Then switched to sub for Shippuden. Great idea. Dub gets a little over the top for Shippuden. Sub is the way to go. Great choice!

i hope everyone just realizes its your decision and experience in what they prefer on audio language and just enjoy the ride, sub and dub is good for naruto but sub is simply original and intended language and she will enjoy the emotions and VA switch up and we can all appreciate both and get along

Honestly, watching this again after many years, I actually really like the way Sasuke is written as a character. IMO, I think sasuke (at least in OG naruto) had a more interesting character arc than naruto. And his motives (though you the watcher don't like them), are understandable and make sense. Back in the days I did not like Sasuke because he betray Naruto, but seeing it now older, I appreciate how he was written., and that not liking a character's actions does not mean a poorly written character.

I'm showing my age somewhat, but I remember watching these particular episodes originally back in 2005. I really enjoy watching the younger generation reacting to this series the way I did, the first time I saw it. Brings back some memories. The thing that always hit the heart strings for me is "Sadness and Sorrow" and "Hokage Funeral" music which is some of the best in all anime (imo). You'll enjoy Shippuden for sure.

Seems like we’re in the minority but I agree but the dub is good for shippuden! idk abt people saying its intended in sub its 2025 yall .. I personally feel like certain characters like kakashi Gai/Rock Lee/ Itachi Gaara Shikamaru even J*raiya I were better in dub too

totally agree, one of the only shows where the dub is actually good or even better than original and we cant even have that. we watch every show in sub and now we still gotta switch on the best part of naruto to please the other side who like sub. very disappointed

I will forever love how scared people are of the ninetails chakra. Shukaku(Gaara's one tail) is evil in the way that he's maniacal personality wise and won't let the host sleep. But the ninetails chakra alone just scares the shit out of everyone that encounters it. His chakra just barely leaking out of Naruto made Zabuza say "is that Kakashi? No, it's far too big"

I've mentioned before Naruto is my favorite anime/manga serious especially because I connect with Naruto and Sasuke on a personal level and family level these fights will never not be incredible and the feels the story telling everything I hold near and dear to my heart . I'm so happy you gave it a chance and get to witness one of the best out there congrats on finishing og now its time for even more peak in Shippuden RAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
