DS FANS THE DAY IS HEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!

the wait was SOOO LONG but i'm so happy i was finally able to watch this!!!! and it was so worth the wait😭 this show means a lot to me and holds a very special place in my heart and so the emotions were high. sorry for getting emotional like. right away. LOL

the animation and sound design was incredible. shinobu finally unmasking and showing anger was so satisfying to see but also so tragic. one of my favorite moments in the series tbh!! LOVED to hear her say go to hell. doma you will pay for your crimes. (but also why does miyano mamoru always sound so good #fml)

giyu vs. akaza was another one of my favorite moments!! GORGEOUS animation, so colorful and fluid. i can't imagine what this sounded like in theatres tbh it had to be insane!!! akaza's end was SO tragic too. i wasn't expecting him to take himself out like that. 😭 f my chungus life </333

im so excited to see what's next, especially since it seems like we'll be seeing more doma and the final upper ranks (ESPECIALLY UPPER RANK 1) ahhhh!!!!!

i don't usually do extended reactions either but this was way too long for a timer reaction lol. i will have an edited version up on youtube later tonight or early tomorrow!

thanks for watching everyone :) and now we wait for the next movie!

i will always love how shinobu just expresses in action of what she’s been feeling for so long.. i miss her already 😢 giyu/tanjiro vs akaza… is the fight i waited SO LONG for to get animated.. completely blew me out of this world with the animation.. classic ufotable.. never holding back on the animations.. 🥹 akaza backstory felt so painful and sad with what he had to go through just for his father.. honestly made me cry cause like that was his only family. but when being picked up and taken in felt like a whole new clean slate for akaza.. to just years later having it all gone just because some losers were upset by not being able to defeat him or his soon to be father in law. i love akaza, that’s my boy right there. to then seeing both giyu and tanjiro just be completely out of it.. these boys need the rest 😔 i cannot wait for the 2nd film.. it’s definitely going to be seen in imax. trust.

This movie was incredible, watched it 4D at a cinema, the effects, the feelings and everything. What was most brutal was feeling how Shinobu's lung was cut and she was gargling or making that weird sound when the blood was in her lungs, the feel on your back, even her spine snapping that was brutal on the cinema chair, that made me slightly more angered at Doma. But Akaza for me definetly is probably the best demon we've seen so far, can't wait for Daddy Koko to make an appearance. Akaza's story is the most painful, I rarely cry from shows, but for Akaza's one-for any individual, be it a man or a women the pain is just immense, how Akaza's needle compass is Koyuki's hair pin, how his Soryu Style was from Keizo and how his tattoo's were from being a criminal to help his father. And even his techniques named after different styles of fireworks (I believe) that he couldn't take Koyuki to. It's just depressing and tragic, I honestly believe just because of his brainwashing he should've been one of the few demons in the series to go to Heaven in my opinion, still pisses me off that he goes Hell 😅. Regardless the movie was choreographed very well, I think trying to animate this in an Infinity Castle would be so difficult in a way, but oddly maybe simple if you didn't think about it too much 😂. Not to mention Zenitsu, what a way to show your mastery, just keeping his eyes open was just enough. I could go on and on, but what a movie, I don't care if the next one is in 2030 or 2031 (it's probs 2027 😅) but I hope they make a masterpiece for us fans to enjoy. Good luck on the next wait Alana 🤣

My favourite part was the POV scenes of Giyu in the movie, first when Akaza was ducking and dodging and blocking with ease, and then the other one Giyu got the mark where Akaza was getting butchered at that point. Incredible duality in the feats Giyu was achieving, and of course the Transparant World, when Tanjiro first felt it against Upper Moon 4 and found him in his own giant body's heart. That first feel into that Selfless State was what set it all in motion, for me it doesn't feel forced although it might've been if you didn't catch that detail from the Swordsmith Village Arc. What a movie.

Alana Misako

i don't know what it is about it but it makes me so emo at moments that shouldnt normally make someone emotional LMFAO

Alana Misako

i couldnt tell if it was a piano or flute or oboe or something !!! MY GAWDDDDD I NEED THE OST ON STREAMING

ish

You probably know this already, but Akaza VA also voiced Yuki Makoto from p3! The entire time watching this movie in theather, I only hear Makoto voices and thought this is what it's like if he talks more in p3 lmfao

Alana Misako

i think akaza is my favorite demon too! i can't imagine watching this in 4D LOLLL that must've been a wild ride 😭 giyu's fight was INSANEEEE he has become one of my favorite hashira :) i will have to rewatch the swordsmith village arc to catch the selfless state again!

Dylan Butler

Pretty sure the giyu marked battle is called 'Giyus Demon Slayer Mark' on most streaming platforms 🫡

In his final moments Akaza had began to evolve to the point where he could've possibly surpassed upper 2 and maybe even upper 1. Its so sad watching him ripping off his flesh and fighting against his regeneration, trying to give up on life but his body won't let him. He had finally achieved the power he was searching for, but decided to give up because he remembered those he loved. And his backstory, I'm not usually someone who tears up over anime, but Akaza got me. To finally find salvation and have it all taken away in an instant. His entire purpose as a demon was just a reflection of the unfortunate life that he had endured. In the end he ended up taking his own life just like his father did.

The theatre experience for this was insane

I see a lot of people criticize demon slayer and I can understand some critiques but Idk man Im just so emotionally connected to this series like I also like more complex shows but even those don't make me sob like demon slayer does it just hits the right spot even without the splendid animation, I just appreciate that we get to have this cinema

I went to see this in theaters. I got all dressed up in a kimono, just like I did for Mugen Train. And, because I was reading the manga as it came out, I went with a very concerned expression. A friend pointed out that I didn't look super excited, and that was because I knew I was going to watch my favorite character die. Shinobu being my all-time favorite is also why, as much as Akaza's back story breaks all of our hearts, Gyutaro and Ume/Daki are still my favorite demons: I have a sister. And if anything tragic happened to her, I would burn it all down, too. When we found out, way back when, that the cheerful persona was her sister's personality and Shinobu was actually a ball of rage? Instant favorite. Seeing how much she cared about people, creating a hospital for the others to recover in, and taking in those who lost families to demons to show us she still has a caring heart even with all of her rage? Incredible. To see her fight without her cheerful mask, with all of the emotion her VA can bring to the table, made me so happy. Switching topics so I don't depress myself with her death any more, there is actually another point in time besides Swordsmith Village Arc where Tanjiro gets very close to the Selfless State, and it's when he's fighting Daki. That moment where he nearly beheads her and his other sister calls from beyond the grave to remind him to breathe. Someone also mentioned that Akaza's attacks are sometimes named after fireworks, and when you're aware of them you'll realize they look like fireworks, too. Most notably his final attack is an eruption of blasts in all directions that has a ring of light that gently follows, just like a really big firework. And not sure if you remembered, but no one has mentioned yet: Kaigaku is also the child in Gyomei's care who betrayed everyone and let the demon into the temple. That quick scene in Kaigaku's flashback, saying that he was 'condemned of stealing money', is the other children in the temple. So, yeah, Kaigaku is a piece of crap, and wasn't it SO SATISFYING when Yushiro talked that shit to him before he died? It'll be a wait, but look forward to the next two movies. This story is gonna go places, and people aren't going to be ready. I love it, and thank you for the video so we can all watch you love it, too!

I had to come back to quickly confirm. Everyone else of far that has got the mark: emotional, deep, sad back story. Giyu: "My back hurts." 😂

the fact that Akaza was evolving and if he didnt take himself out he was close to be like Muzan only killable with Sunlight. Thats so crazy. And that her Wife has the snowflake hairpin like his Compass.
