I suggest Eega as far as bollywood flicks. So good

David Chambers

I'm doing a Stephen King season over the Christmas break, plenty to choose from, but I'm mostly focusing on recent efforts like The Long Walk and The Life of Chuck.

Small Soldiers would be so great for a Tiny Terrors month!

That DOA movie is...something special. Absolutely would love to hear that discussion even though I have zero desire to watch it again. Enthiran would also be a solid add for Bollywood. Feels like two completely different films meeting in the middle and both parts are pretty dang good.

Mike

Would love a sub watchcast pod even if it means less streaming?

I definitely don't want this to turn into a Star Trek heavy podcast. I would add Once Upon a Time in the West to the Westerns list and Del Toro's Pinocchio to his list.

Happy Holidays, Everyone. For Westerns, I don’t recall hearing “The Magnificent Seven”. What a cast and a great story about the adaption. I’m also really partial to “Shane”. Alan Ladd is an interesting person and Jack Palance is the epitome of a Wild West villain. Whatever you pick, I’ll be watching along.

Really enjoyed this one. I thought you guys cut Biopics and Historical Dramas a bit short, though, so I thought I'd add some more suggestions: Historical Drama: - The Last Duel: Could also go in the box office flops. Really underrated Ridley Scott movie that came out during COVID, starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck - Nickel Boys: Was nominated for Best Picture last year—great movie about a southern reform school during Jim Crow. - Blackberry: Pretty great movie about the rise and fall of Blackberry from the guys who made Nirvana the Band the Show. Biopics: - I Am Here: Also nominated for Best Picture last year—Brazilian film about a mother dealing with the impacts of the military dictatorship. - The Aviator: Throwing this out if you guys haven't watched it. It's a personal favorite of mine from Scorsese. - The Last King of Scotland: Probably have heard of this movie about Idi Amin's rule in Uganda that got Forest Whitaker his first and only Oscar nomination/win.

I'd die for a "The Witch" and "Pans Labyrint" Watchcast

The great mouse detective is my all time favorite Disney movie 👌 I feel so seen

Regarding the Star Trek discussion. Dont make a seperate podcast for it, just add it to the Watchcast feed but cut them down to an hour and only record it every other week. That way it doesnt put a heavier load on ya'lls work schedules and personal lives.

Jarlaxle

Idk if Alex likes this movie but Oliver Stone’s “The Doors” is one of my favorite biopics of all time.

Sifu James Marsh

I just want you to watch my favourite movie: 'Withnail and I' (very British). Could come under: - films about actors - films about alcoholics/drug addicts - films about failed vacations lol

TheWizardSloth

Category suggestion: musician bio-pics. Walk the Line Ray Bohemian Rhapsody Rocketman Elvis Straight Outta Compton Selena The new Micheal Jackson film is releasing in April 2026.

Drew

Raging Bull is the best biopic for me. Would love noir and/or neo noir! Also would throw in LA Confidential and Chinatown but maybe those were choice omissions. Two of my favorite noir films though. GI Joe and Transformers movies with the shows in there would be a great month. Mission: Kashmir would be funny for a Bollywood choice, it is their version of the big military/spy/political intrigue thriller in a way that is grounding but then highlights the differences

Tom

Don't make Vinny wait to watch more Star Trek! Brad and Alex have already watched it lots of times - it feels mean to stop/delay his watching of it just for our entertainment. Maybe let him watch at his own pace and then have infrequent catch ups and deeper dives in to specific episodes?

As a paid extra in Dhoom 3, a Bollywood blockbuster, I'd highly recommend Dhoom 2. It's peak Fast and Furious and has damn near anything a movie needs. Also, life is short. Just go to Star Trek: Next Gen s3. Maybe do a few months of highlights of 1 and 2, but let's do it. ToS is cool but at this point, I get it. Since this isn't an ST-specific podcast, you don't have to slog through stuff you aren't in love with like so many other podcasts are forced to.
