I'm so sorry you've had to go through that Brad, but I'm glad you are in a position and with a group of people where you don't feel like you have to check in or hurry back to work. I'm so glad you got to take the time you needed.

Andy Finney

I just wanted to send my condolences Brad. Very sad news indeed and I'm incredibly sorry for your loss. You've been missed these past few weeks and I'm glad you are slowly making your way back. Shout out as well to Vinny and Alex (and guests) for continuing to churn out great content in the mean time.

I lost my mother in the recent past, and I can absolutely confirm that despite it being a part of all of human history, nobody really knows how to deal with it when it comes. Sending love to you and your family, Brad.

Mint Fresno

It’s not a contest: best guest of all time.

Matt H

Im so sorry to hear that Brad. I lost my dad suddenly a year and a half ago and teared up hearing how supportive yours was to you and your family. I definitely can relate. I hope you and your family are doing the best they can and so glad you got time to be with them.

Stevie Militello

I lost my dad at the end of september and everything you said completely resonated with me. appreciate you brad 💖

Brad - I don't know you personally but I know this type of loss. Lean into family and your friends. Cry and talk about it. Don't bury it. Sorry for your loss and we're glad to have you back. Everything pales in comparison to losing a loved one, so take your time re-entering the atmosphere. Us internet strangers can wait.

John Schoneman

Haven't listened to the episode yet but Brad, I am so glad you're back.

My deepest condolences, Brad. Love you and all Nextlanders.

Glad to hear Brad’s voice again. So sorry for his loss. I hope he takes all the time he needs. All the love, the support and the patience required for one of the great voices in games media.

Andrew

No apologies necessary Brad. Grief comes in waves and will be unique for everyone. I wish you and your family all the best through the pain and loss.

Nick Verissimo

Much love to Brad and his family. Your Dad raised a terrific human, take all of the time you need to grieve and celebrate his memory.

Jason Jablonski

Brad my condolences. Lost my dad two years ago after he was diagnosed with dementia... that diagnosis was a week before Covid. I kept my job but only because i was dealing with it for so long. But i only took a week off after he actually passed. When i came back i just kept on telling my bosses "i just want to focus on something else and work." Only to realize about 9 months ago that i was basically a empty void going through the motions. So i quit and took my dads ashes on a road trip across the country. Cried through half of Wyoming and a good chunk of the east coast. If i didnt have to pay bills and be stuck at a company i would have left sooner. Take your time.

Glad to have Brad back and even more glad to help contribute to him taking the time he needed and any he needs in the future, I can't imagine going through this with the more public life he holds. I hope if he or the crew ever needs extra help, they can feel comfortable asking! The world needs more space for humans to be human.

Lucky

Love you Brad! Take all the time you need!

Ravelle

My condolences brad! I can very much relate that talking about something somehow making it real, when my aunt passed I could hold my emotions in for most of the funeral but the moment I spoke out my good byes while laying my hand on the coffin for the last time, I completely broke.

Chris Vickers

Keep your chin up brad. I'm 43. Lost my dad about 10 years ago or more. Had a stroke and never came out of it. Sucks. Thankfully I had my 3 brothers to help getting through it all. Like they say, everyone is different and we all have our own pace at which we work our way through it. Keep your self busy pal and just think of nice memories you had with him. I found it comforting telling other people about things that my dad did or said. Laugh at jokes or funny things he did. All the best buddy! X

Michael Rivard

Love you, Brad. Sorry for your loss, friend. One foot in front of the other, that's all we can do.

always interesting to hear how Brad was with his family (having his stuff still there, always going to visit) compared to myself and wife who have little contact since leaving home.

Man, I don't want you guys to ever feel "bad" about taking time off, especially for a catastrophic event like the loss of a loved one. Much love to you, Brad.

Mark Altosaar

I'm so sorry Brad. I also lost my dad recently. It was and will forever be a horrible awful trip. Thanks to all of you for being company on the drives to visit him in his final days. I'm glad I was able to "be there" at least.

PolliverPerks

I'm so glad you're back, Brad. I lost my father last year as well and this really resonated with me emotionally and touched me deeply. I'm sending much love to you and your family!

After losing both my parents a month apart a couple of years ago, Nextlander's content was one of the main things that helped me get through my days, and help me clear my head while going on long walks. Even when it was difficult to convince myself to get out of bed, knowing I could listen to one of their podcasts or watch them stream a game was often enough incentive for me to get the will to carry on. Much love and my condolences to Brad and family. It's the toughest experience in life, but know you have a community around you who will support you any way you need.

Eric Hagedorn

My deepest condolences to you on your loss, Brad. All of us grieve in different ways; don't let anyone ever tell you that you're not doing it correctly or not getting back to normal quickly enough.

MunnyShh

My deepest condolences to you and your family Brad. Take all the time and space you need, and do not feel obligated to apologize or explain anything. I hope NXL and the community can help be a comfort space for you over time.

Resosaurus

hey brad. i'm slightly younger than you (42), but i lost my dad two and a half years ago. it was pretty sudden and devastating. i'm obviously not aware of your whole story (nor do i need to be), but i feel you. grief is also a motherfucker. i love you, brad. hang in there.
