Josh

Yeah knew I wouldn't be first with my illness but hope everyone's well

irreverend

I'm with Mark on this one. I was also in exactly the same situation, I did not want to be in that room for the birth, and I wasn't supposed to be, but her parents couldn't get there in time. I also had the worst hangover of my life as I'd decided wetting the baby's head was best done before having to take care of a baby. Don't attend a birth hungover. Actually just don't attend a birth :)

Tony Mingoia

In this case, a "sister" is a senior nurse in charge of a ward, rather than a nun. I'm sure you'll agree, that makes much more sense. 🤗

Remi

Your charm looks pretty, looks like a custom piece one of those rappers would wear

Josh

I've had an epidural before, it's the strangest sensation ever. This episode was awesome. Thank you Mand 😊

BobSandwiches

"Sister's Office". A "Sister" ("Ward Sister") is a higher ranking nurse who has responsibility for the day-to-day management of a ward or other unit in a Hospital. Nowt to do with religion - tho I assume the name has historial religious origins. A "Monkey" is £500, so the half-monkey he paid Super Hans was £250 - which might be reasonable for a real plumber/gas fitter, depending on the work needed, but definitely too much to pay some random mate of Super Hans! Useless and hopeless as the two guys are, I would add Sophie to your list of unreliable people that the baby has to look forward to... Still, on the plus side: there was minimal water damage!

You're gonna have a killer of a withdrawal headache when that caffeine wears off. 🤪 I did after my flight yesterday (reels on insta). I'd need caffeine for being in Mark's position. No man ever knows what to do in that situation, I wouldn't. I'd just make sure I'd be there. Yes our ambulances are a bright greeny yellow with alternating squares of highly reflective dark green and bright green "Battenburg" (check board) squares on the side. The brighter green is the colour of high Vis vests (a wave length of around 560nm 🤓) to make it visible and blue lights. All our emergency services generally have blue lights (expect some specialists) and the Battenburg designs on the side.

Amazing thumbnail! 🤣

Nathan

the whats-it-called, the drugs pipe, the heroin pump, the crack tube

Nathan

'finally find the woman of my dreams and her boyfriend REANIMATES'

Julian

Pro tip: you don’t get a withdrawal headache if you keep drinking caffeine 😂 It’s basically poison. I was fine in my 30s but I started to get withdrawals in my 40s so had to control my Monster addiction.

Julian

“Plumbing is just water lego” so many good one liners in this

Benjamin Taylor-Yates

It started hitting me about a year ago. I find caffeine stresses me out and makes my driving more aggressive. I've been on decaf at home since. Hot chocolate is okay as well.

Gary T

Something I’ve not noticed before, they carefully place strangers, staring at the main characters, when they’re alone and there’s nobody to POV with. The ‘really’ old guy, in the waiting room, staring at Jez, the guy sitting next to the elevator, the woman beside the lamppost as Mark walked out of KFC. 😃

Mandy Cane Lane

Ohhh, interesting Gary! I will need to pay attention to this! 🙌🏻✨️

Mandy Cane Lane

The writing has been top tier the last few seasons!! 🤣🤣🤣

DriveIn

When the nurse was checking to see how dilated Sophie was, all I could think about was Phoebe saying "I don't want some guy down there telling me I'm dilated-a-mundo" 😂 so it could have been worse!

Mandy Cane Lane

Interesting! So I do have a minor caffeine addiction and have quit multiple times (which means go through a week of hell until the need dies down) but always started up again in smaller doses because apprently Caffeine and ADHD are 🤝🏻 and caffeine helps people with ADHD focus. I could not function properly without it even after several weeks, so just decided to self medicate with a can of pepsi or tea daily 🤣. When I say I have had a lot it is more than a can or tea. 🤪

Mandy Cane Lane

HAHAHHAA! Minimal water damage! 😃🙌🏻 Oh yeah, they are all awful! Whole cast is a mess 🤣🤣 Poor child. Also thank you for the sister explanation 🤗✨️

Mandy Cane Lane

Oh it must be AWFUL! May I ask why? Was it for your knees? 🤔

Mandy Cane Lane

Lmao! Thank you? 🤔🤣 Fun fact. A coworker found it in the offices here at the theatre (not in any place the audience can be) and everyone thought it was mine because it was an M and it didn't belong to anyone that works here. They asked me one day and I said it wasn't and he said : "you want it?" LOL 🤣

Mandy Cane Lane

That does make more sense, but I feel like there could have been a better word! Haha. And when in lack of a better word, just make one up. Like "nic" pronounced like nick for the "Nurse In Charge" 🤪

Mandy Cane Lane

Oh. Lol. Well I guess you can't plan in what state you will be in when the time comes! 😅

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahhaa! That is very specific!! 🤣🤣🤣 I'll see what I can do 🤪

Remi

Freebies even better is it hallmarked 925? The shine it's giving off looks silver

Michael

This is one of the very few episodes of Peep Show that end on a positive note! 'My son!...... minimum water damage' genuinely a lovely moment for Mark for once!

Jeffrey44

What did you do to your hand? Cat bite? Tattoo removal? Knuckle shaving incident?

Mandy Cane Lane

Haha, wrong again! It's not TDAH, it's TDAH ✨️ 🤣🤣

2026-09-23 20:00 Well I shouldn't have been eating through that episode. :) So, muncher of invisible cough drops, that's what caused the bad throat :) Seems like Karl isn't the only one with boiler issues. Those two are not nice people where women are involved. Both clueless.

You’re probably ok with Pepsi or tea. I can do the small cans of energy drink, I just can’t do the big cans any more. I’m also trying to stop Pepsi/coke, mainly because the artificial sweeteners are really bad for you, as is the sugar version obviously. I use an organic sweetener for tea (stevia drops) so that I can avoid sugar AND chemical sweetener.

Josh

Aww I'm ill every couple weeks, just since Friday morning

Mandy Cane Lane

They are the worst, but I have truly grown to love their antics! 🤣🤣🤣

Karl Rocks

That's interesting. Awful as they both are I've always thought of Mark as the slightly more defendable of the two. Maybe because I'm little bit like him...without the complete disregard for other people obv...lol

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha! I wouldn't feel comfortable fully defending either one of them 🤣

Karl Rocks

Oh yeah it's very much a "If I have to choose" they are utterly indefensible. I've been thinking about this this evening. A person who thinks like Mark in real life would only ever hurt himself as his neuroses would never be tolerated or encouraged by those around him in the first place. He would either learn to relax and co-exist with people or would more likely just end up bitter and completely alone. Either way because of this his behaviour would never end up spiraling and hurting other people unlike what happens in the show. Whereas I think all of us know a superficially charming selfish asshole like Jez the destruction he causes is much more real world possible. Anyhoo sorry for that stream of consciousness Mandy. I hope life is going well for you and you find your new place soon. Thanks for everything and take care.

emu cat

This whole pregnancy was Sophie's doing, hand-holding is right-out. For somebody that was conned into it Mark is being a tampon. I get that he wants to be part of the kid's life but c'mon Mark lol grow a set.

emu cat

living innards - bahahaha

Stevus

Love the thumbnail here. It's like you're singing a duet with Jez! 😁🎶

FeriLuce

It should just work how it used to, the men stay at work and the women take care of the birth... Their friends and parents etc. Like Mark said in another episode, women like babies more than men.
