Danny

I remember at the time this aired that people were warning children about don't climb into washing machines after fears they would copy Mr Bean. Even many years later, I've seen this episode aired on kids channels and they cut the whole end of that sketch out of him in the washing machine. Crazy. It just ends and jumps to the golf sketch soon as it gets to the bit he is about to get in the washing machine

Hey Mandy, I think the comedian you're thinking of is Jimmy Carr. He said he would tell bad jokes so that, instead of wanting more, you'd be glad it's over, but I could be wrong. I didn't mind this episode, it was not the strongest, but it was still funny. As always, thank you! 🤗🤗

Danny

Those are old £1 coins he is using, they look different now. I think it's some old Latin phrase they have around the edge. Which is why you couldn't read it 😅

Josh

They're parsnips not white carrots. Do you think a banana is a yellow carrot? Or a cabbage is a green orange 🤣🤣 You don't have parsnips in Argentina so you won't know what they are, so I'm only messing lady Mandy 😇

Danny

I don't particularly like the golf sketch. It is a famous sketch though, I think it goes on too long, and theres only 2 sketches in the whole episode. This is the weakest episode to me. The last 2 are pretty good though, couple of really good sketches across the 2 episodes

Danny

White carrots? Lol 😂😅 they are parsnips. And yes they are sweet, but a little bit peppery

Josh

Wow 7th, that's quick for me these days 😂😂

Josh

Oh erm I've got an interview for the NHSbs job on Thursday

Jeffrey44

NHS BS job? Don't let them hear you call it that, Josh. Good luck though.

Benjamin Taylor-Yates

I was okay at minigolf, I still go gold driving occasionally with mates. God that old bus is a good reminder of just how old this is. "He fell straight up." I'd probably say straight down in this case. It's one of those phrases innit. Perfect delivery of the "That's bollocks!" there Mandy. 10/10 🥇 Bit dark over here. I'm condemned to one corner of the house that has 5G while I wait for the power to come back on. 😂 Thankfully I bought some sticky-back battery lights for the kitchen so I've that at least, and candles. I heard shouting earlier, I think it was Mandy battling the friken greenscreen! Hahah 🫨🤯🤬

Only 2 episodes of Bean left! The next episode starts off with one of the funniest sketches, can’t wait for you to see it! Your barefooted bin story was hilarious! I can just see you bouncing it off the flap door and then realising somethings not right 🤭(while feeling like all eyes are on you).. just like Karl you know how to paint a picture with your stories🤣 And LOL, white carrots! Are there no such thing as parsnips in Argentina? (Just google checked and apparently they’re mainly grown in Europe and Asia).

Secret

Mandy I used to think I was bad at mini golf. Watching This has given me confidence I was actually pretty good 🤣

Remi

oh I just love imagining you barefooted fighting with a bouncy trash bag some old lady watching and thinking Oh dios mío what a crazy bastard 🤣🤣 The writing around the pound coin was PLEIDIOL WYF I'M GWLAD" which means "I am loyal to my country" in Welsh There were multiple different designs with different inscriptions before they got replaced on 2016 by something harder to counterfeit

Remi

It was Welsh on that particular design PLEIDIOL WYF I'M GWLAD" which means I am loyal to my country in Welsh

Remi

Which is harder to read than Latin 🤣

Steve with a beard

Hey Mandy, Happy Smonday! Have you seen Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory? Charlie's teacher in that was the mini golf attendant in this - so maybe he is famous. Or he is just a guy who was in a famous film haha. I hope you don't have any more laundry/trash issues 😂 Have a great week!

Stevus

Firstly, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure everyone is a White belt at Ju Jitsu, unless they've earned a higher belt of course. Although, based on the rules of phylogenetics (as an analogy) even then you would still be a white belt. Anyway (check that out, a real paragraph), the real reason I'm here is that I have some production notes. When you have one of your amusing anecdotes to share, such as the clothes in garbage bag debacle from this video, or one of your PSAs (much appreciated btw, I love all the work you do in the community) it would be nice to have it presented in a format something like an informative segment of a morning show or something like that. Perhaps add in a banner in post prod. with 'The World According to Mandy' or maybe the more thoughtful 'Mandys Musings'. There are a couple of ideas for you, but feel free to let those creative juices flow and make it your own! For a PSA, you could wear a safety helmet and reflective vest and add in some flashing red lights and a heading saying, 'URGENT WARNING!' or 'DEF CON 1!' or my personal favourite, 'JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN, THIS IS IMPORTANT, DICKHEAD!' OMG, another paragraph! Whatever you go with, I think it would also benefit greatly, (for establishing a somber, serious, authoritative aere to the piece) from some appropriate musical backing. I would recommend anything by Captain Beefheart, or just some good old fashioned circus music! 🤪🤭🫶 Cheers, Big Ears! 😉

Stevus

Best of luck, Jellybean! 🤞

I think you are wrong on this one, Steve. MCL (Mandy Cane Lane) said that a comedian said something and because you remembered that Jimmy Carr once said something, you assumed it was him that she was referring to. Lots of people say something. I said something only this morning, for example. For it to be a successful match the things that are said by MCL's unknown comedian and Jimmy Carr. must be substantially similar. I do not believe they are in this instance.

Hey Mandy, a quick story for you! A guy who lives on my street fosters dogs. He took one in this morning, and it became clear very quickly that the dog didn’t get along with the ones he already had. He knows I love dogs, so he asked if I would look after him for a few days. The dog was at my house for 30 minutes, and I decided to keep him! He has an odd kind of resting bitch face going on and isn’t normally the breed I would go for, but he won me over. Anyway, let me introduce you to Ace. https://iili.io/2LpJbUB.jpg

Yes indeed, parsnips. And they're awesome as part of a Sunday roast dinner.

AWR93

True rusty dog!

Stevus
>>162653690

He reminds me of Levar Burton for some reason. Maybe it's the rap-around sunnies I'm imagining him wearing. You should get him some rap-around sunnies... or a little 'H' for his forehead 😉.

Gray

Knew the girl from the laudromatte was familiar she's in the classic Harry Enfield's Women Keep Your Virtue sketch which I don't think Mandy has reacted to

Stevus
>>162653690

Ohĥhh, I was thinking more a tattoo for you, lol. Will all that even fit on a dog tag? Good news though. You can keep him named Ace, but pronounce it wrong when you say it! 😁

Mandy Cane Lane

Huh, I have seen "Women know your limits" and got roasted to high hell and back, so am not too keen and those kind of sketches 😅

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha, that all sounds super fun! 🤣🤣 Great job on the paragraphs! 👏🏻👏🏻 And yes, everyone is a white belt, that was the joke 🤭

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahaha! Well that is nice! Remember, there is always gonna be somebody worse than you at everything 🤣

Mandy Cane Lane

Haha, power outtages suck! I bought a really bright rechargable flashlight that has a magnet on it. Seems useful, but hope I don't need it 🤪

Mandy Cane Lane

Ok, but is a parsnip simply not just a white carrot? 🤔😅

Josh

They are from the same family but taste very different. Parsnips are very tasty 😋

Mandy Cane Lane
>>162521988

Haha, it wasn't Jimmy Carr! But I haven't properly remembered who it was... still feel it was Izzard though 🤪

Mandy Cane Lane

Oh wow! Censoring is so odd. Like I grew up with the Looney Toons and the Road Runner... 😅🤣

Danny

No. Thats like saying is a lime just a green lemon 😅
