It's hot here today, 17C at the beginning of March. Hard pass on it ever being 40C though, you have my sympathies. Also, End of the Fucking World was a great series, you have good taste there

Benjamin Taylor-Yates

Second today. Only just realised I'm at the top of the list now, result. 👌 Wow, 40° that's very hot. Hope your tiles don't go bang again 🙃 I hate that sticky feeling, speaking of discomfort: some of the faces you make in this episode... 😂🥴. This episode is well written, I enjoyed it. Kind of nice to see them all trying to resolve everything, whilst also not. 😂 It's like a wave; everytime you think their just rising up in life, bam - shark. For the pope - I don't know I haven't been keeping up and I guess I never kept up with his career anyway😂. I was mused watching all the drama with Mr Trump... knobhead.

"Your expectations get ground down and down until finally you settle for a life that would've mortified you 20 years ago but now seems like a blessed relief." Now that's a quote which hits home a bit hard :)

14:03 The likelihood of going to jail for temporarily stealing a lyric book, or breaking and entering without causing any damage to look for it, with no prior convictions? Pretty much zero, might not even get community service given these specific circumstances, could just be a caution. No way you're doing jail time in the UK for this though. Although fucking with his cereal boxes might :)

19:20 A lot of people keep venomous and dangerous snakes as pets actually. Or ones which could easily strangle a child to death certainly. UK has no really dangerous native snakes, and you basically never see them unless you're looking for them, so if you see a snake in a children's play area, you'd definitely be concerned. Adders in the UK are venomous, and have killed children in the past, but it's been 50 years since anyone died from an adder, and only 14 deaths in the past 150 odd years. Pet snakes are definitely the ones you want to be afraid of in the UK

Pope is still alive. And I agree it really doesn't seem like 12 years ago. I was sure it was about 5 when he became the new one

Attn: Mandy Cane Lane. Don't pay bills in other people's name. Get your utilities and other accounts put in your own name. Please confirm you have done this or are in the process of doing so. This is important.

25C has me lying on the floor half dead, so I can't imagine 40+, although I've never experienced a dry heat. I wonder if that really is more tolerable. Definitely the most memorable episode of series 9 for me, the idea of Mark and Sophie ending up in a loveless mutual hatred marriage much like his and her parents all have would seem a fitting end for him.

irreverend

@Feisty Steve except he's not a time lord but the overlord of the nonces I suppose

Julian

I have no concept of how long the pope has been the pope. I don’t even know who the pope is. I don’t remember any news about the pope becoming the pope. Is that big news? I guess it might be, I don’t pay attention.

Julian

There was a disabled sign on the toilet door. Me thinks the flamingo was just decoration.

Jeffrey44

I don't know if you are in the UK, Mr T, or if you were in the UK when Pope Francis was first elected. If you were, I'd be surprised if you missed the extensive media coverage of him looking a bit like Jim Bowen.

Jeffrey44

When it comes to good advice, I'm full of it.

Julian

The kingdom of Scotland. It’s more likely than you think. I don’t watch the news and I’m pretty good at ignoring things I’m not interested in.

DriveIn

The "I see dumb people" shirt is definitely the right one to wear for this episode 😁

Julian

I love the bit where Jeremy says ‘probably most people are below average’ and Mark gives him a look. I’ve heard some hilarious debates where people refuse to accept that 50% of people are below average intelligence. I’m sure I’ve heard politicians say something similar because they don’t want to insult people. As a fan of statistics it’s most amusing.

Michael

Next week its time to say goodbye to my favourite heroes Mark and Jeremy, just two pure and good people doing their best, sad to see them go!

Julian

For some reason I thought it was the previous one who was Argentinian. I must have thought he was dead already.

Mandy Cane Lane

This is not important in Argentina... at all. But I am in the process

Mandy Cane Lane

Dry heat is VERY different. It is literally the humidity that makes it unbearable!!!

Mandy Cane Lane

My tiles are intact! (The ones that are left anyway) And was my face all over the place again?

Benjamin Taylor-Yates

It was doing another wonderful repetoir of emotional responses. Mesmerising 😂😂

Mandy Cane Lane

Noo! That is not a quote that should be relatable to life ... ☹️ -- And oh biy on the snakes. You know? I have never seen one in Argentina. Not even on holiday. I wonder if there are any native to here 🤔

AWR93

Flip & flop, totally have to steal that one day! 🤣

Jeffrey44

I'm not on the list at all, Ben. What do you make of that?

irreverend

@Mandy probably best you look that up, and definitely don't go looking for any snakes :) Hot and in South America... if there aren't poisonous snakes I'd be quite amazed.

Stuart

I think the confusion comes from people knowing that the average or mean is not always the middle value but not understanding that IQ scores are normally distributed, and that a normal distribution is symmetrical about the mean.

Julian

Indeed. The average score on a particular test could be 60% or 70%, but the mean is wherever it is. There’s a similar issue with the word normal, which represents the majority of any grouping. So by definition any minority groups are abnormal, but don’t try saying that to their face 😂

Michael

Name one thing they've done in 9 series that's been morally wrong... il wait 🤣

David Baker

Hello, Hello Lovely Mandy of Cane Lane! Gonna miss these episodes now. I cant remember the last one it's so long since I saw it. What does it say on your shirt by the way ya little pottymouth? :) x

irreverend

That's actually a bit concerning that it's not important :) But here's hoping you're covered from any kind of dodgy fraud with whatever the system is there

irreverend

Has anyone suggested the series Ideal to you, starring Johnny Vegas? Because obviously Peep Show is about to end, and I just recently found that someone had been unable to find Ideal after the first 3 episodes. So I thought I'd try uploading them to my comedy YouTube channel I forgot about, and it appears the copyright owners don't mind at all (for the first two series so far anyway). Probably won't be monetised on YouTube as a reaction, but it wouldn't be blocked anywhere currently, so I think anyone would be able to watch you react to the full episodes of it. Might be good to bring in some more patreon subs for other series.

Mandy Cane Lane

"I see dumb people" haha just like the one in The IT Crowd! 🤣

Mandy Cane Lane

Dude, that really stuck with me! Amazing names!!! Imagine having twins and this being there middle names! 🤣🤣🤣 Jim Flip Jones and Tom Flop Jones 🤪

Kev

On the subject of double pet names as a teenager I called my two rats Tess and Tickle because the vets would call the animals names out in the waiting room. They only called out "Tess and Tickle" once and then called my name after that. 🤣

AWR93

HAHAHAHA I love it!! 🤣🤣

David Baker

AHHHH HA. I 'see' it now. People still don't beleive me when I say I guessed the plot of that movie btw.... I'll say now as I said then... "He was SHOT AT POINT BLANK RANGE DAMMIT!, How do you Survive that TELL ME!" Anyhooo.... I cope you can aid my Peep Show Grief with a Wee Viewing of Derry Girls, since your are getting into AHHHH FATHER. :) x

Josh

Pope died, don't get why it was big news tbh
