I don’t know if this has been brought up but the part of the hat they stitch razor blades to is the ‘peak’ which they use to slash across people’s faces, blinding them. Hence Peaky Blinders 😉

Aunt Polly is probably my favorite character in the series. Helen McCrory is brilliant and worked all the way up to her passing in 2021 after a battle with breast cancer. You may not recognize her but she played Draco Malfoy's mother! On a side note -- she's also brilliant in A Little Chaos which was directed by the late great Alan Rickman.... really just a round about way of luring you into another period piece but it is worth a watch. ;)

She really was a terrific actress. She was married to a great actor as well - Damien Lewis, from Band of Brothers, Billions, etc.

By the way guys, just an FYI: Billy Kimber was a real dude. He was a big-time gangster in the 1920s and one of the biggest mob bosses of that era in England.

The war with the Lee’s was inevitable. If you re-watch, Tommy is looking for a fight. He really eggs the Lee men on. The fact that the horse is ‘cursed’ was unexpected. On that note; pay attention to the Shelby’s and the Lee’s are VERY superstitious and into ‘magic’. It comes with being Romani (Gypsy’s). Hence Polly being able to tell Ada is pregnant, Curly won’t do things under the full moon, the horse is cursed. The culture really plays a big part in how they run their family.

Sounds like you guys are unfamiliar with Rudolph Valentino. He was one of the biggest stars of the silent movie era and died tragically young at age 31 in 1926.
