I love this series. Glad to see it up for reaction. I also differ to some, I loved the recent one. It's my favourite of the three, albeit a little different in tone. Your foray into the series is just in time for the fourth one too, which is out in January

28 Days is obviously the best of this series, but I think 28 Weeks is kinda slept on. It’s a legit really good movie.

I'm Batman

While I'm not a zombie fan persay, I do like this movie, and I personally like the sequel even more. Still haven't seen the new one though. And World War Z is another I like. These 3 are really the only zombie movies I can get into. Looking forward to this reaction.

I'm Batman

Had to look it up, this came out before TWD comic, that didn't come out till October of '03.

28 Days Later and Train To Busan are my two favorite zombie/virus movies! I hope you guys like this one! The color grading is done on purpose. It gives it a very eerie, creepy feeling I think.

SushiBoy

i have family in London so whenever i go there or they come to california they bring me "sweets and Crisps" lol. the Maltesers are little chocolate balls and some of my favorites. Walkers chips is essentially the british version of Lays. Irn Bru soda cans u see are like an orange "fizzy drink" its my first time seeing this movie so i thought it was cool i recognized all the empty boxes of snacks and chocolates haha

Alex

I will be watching this solely to see Oak's reaction. IYKYK.

@ 59:50 you asked if it was a real place. It is the ruins of Waverley Abbey. Constructed about 900 years ago. Britain's littered with such places. We sort of get used to them and don't appreciate them for what they are. Myself included, until I took an interest in history, recently. I've grown up around castles, with one less than a mile away from me called Urquhart Castle, in the Scottish Highlands, and never really stopped to consider it for what it was.

Mando

I’m surprised you guys had to rent it 😭 it’s on Netflix right now

Loved the reaction guys, looking forward to 28 Weeks Later reaction. For this movie I loved the type of look the quality of the picture was, I love gritty looking movies especially within modern movies (like Terrifier). I love the opening after the infection has took over, the eerieness of no one being around, no background music playing, just complete and utter silence. The shots were amazing as well and the music throughout the movie was incredible. Still cry everytime when Frank gets infected and tells his daughter to stay away. This one I give a 5/5 as well, everything was just perfect for me all around.

Allow me to recommend British Horror 'Dog Soldiers' if you enjoy some british insults. It's very entertaining, probably the best horror to come out of the UK besides 'The Descent', and we do some decent ones.

Maisie

“That’s what we do on this channel, we judge each other. Often…and aggressively.” The way Oak said this in a quiet, soothing murmur had me DYING. 😂😭

Crispin

Moral of the story... " You don't fuck with the peaky blinders!"

Diablos Cafe

I was just like Diamond Dave, I tried to watch this movie for 10 minutes back then but couldn’t because the quality 😂

ZuZu

Looking forward to the reaction to this one. As far as quality goes, this movie had a budget of $8 million. They did a brilliant job on a very low budget. A lack of CGI doesn't denote a lack of quality.

As soon as I saw all of them at the dining table I thought, "I don't like how there's two civilian women in this room and a guy with absolutely no pull is the only person on their side." I'm an English major and pretty much every book I read in high school and beyond that had military characters always had some sort of rape sequence, whether fiction or a personal account. And in every zombie film or TV show, the military base always ends up being the worst place to go anyway. I think this movie was really phenomenal. I was anxious ever since I saw Cilian Murphy naked and stayed that way up until the airplane passed over them at the end 😂 The zombies and disease were way more terrifying than most. There was NO leeway to escape from them or an infection. Everything had to be precise and decisive. Excited to see the next.

Alex

The waking up in the hospital thing is a staple of zombie movies. In Resident Evil the movie Alice wakes up in a hospital, and I think it goes back to the Romero movies. Not gonna say anything else. I know you guys play games on the Arcade channel. I dunno if you guys have ever played the Resident Evil games but it would be great to see you react to those, because the Resident Evil games are as iconic as the George Romero movies.. And while the Resident Evil Hollywood movies grew up me, they don't hold a candle to the Resident Evil games which are probably the best zombie fiction ever created. The movie's not bad but the games are absolutely amazing. Update: Wow. Oak gave it a 4.75.. I thought this was going to be like Karate Kid: Legends the way he was making faces in the first 20 mins.. Also the reason why I said I watched it for Oak's reaction is coz of the fast running zombies comment that he made during the Daryl Dixon reactions (I think) and mentioned it here.

Cannot wait for the next two movies especially 28 years later, it’s my fav and such a scary movie

Anthony Velasquez

Ready for the next installment then very curious what you guys think of 28 yrs later I already made my feeling known about that one didn’t care for it but it does seem like a divisive movie seen plenty that liked it and plenty who didn’t like it very much how Weapons was viewed

ZuZu

Fantastic choice for October. I loved how quickly you were all just fully focused and invested. And I loved how many times it surprised you by NOT going the way you expected it to. Excellent reaction! Looking forward to the next one!

Matthew Glover

Im surprised you guys didnt recognize naomi from her role as Calypso in the Pirates of the carribean franchise.

Love this movie, I saw it in theaters not knowing what exactly I was getting into. I believe Cillian and the director even said, they were shocked this movie did so well in the States. I'm with you Dave, the quality, even for 2002, was a bit off putting. Same with the like 5 minutes of Cillian walking the empty street shouting "hello." That scene dragged on and should've been cut down. Had I not been in the theater, I would've turned the movie off definitely by that part. Even my mom was annoyed by that bit. BUT, when the movie picks up, it really picks up! Usually when I watch this film, I skip to the meet up part and watch it from there. And of course, John Murphy's "In the House, In a Heartbeat" is one of my absolute favorite movie scores!

CRAZEH247

Basically this was the first zombie film that introduced the "aggressive" type. Since then many have used that kind of zombie style because it raises the stakes by a lot. Also quite a few tropes in general. If not for Shaun of the Dead, or One Cut of the Dead, this would be my favourite Zombie film.

OMG.... I WASNT READYYYY im so excited

For those of us arround... In 2000, Sandra Bullock was in a romcom/drama set in a rehab facility called "28 days." When this was released two years later, some people unfortunately thought that "28 days later" was the sequel 😬

So Tired

First time watching this movie and I really enjoyed. It can't wait for the other two. 🙌

First time watch for me. I liked it. European movies from the 90s and early 2000s already had a difference in visuals comparing with US stuff. But here I think the visuals have a grunge look on purpose as it matches well with the theme. I liked the direction which featured a lot of original framing, and the editing as well. The script was a tad limited for me but back when it was released it probably felt different. I'm very interested to see how the other 2 will compare!
