Sage VAAKO

Was randomly thinking this morning, not enough people have reacted to this movie, this is a staple in the zombie verse. 💯👏👏

Olivia

YES! My favorite zombie movie

Artem Dmytrenko

Love to Diamond Dave from the comments! Good luck him with the YT version!

LilithCain

This is said a lot about movie adaptations of books, but this movie really is just the tip of the spear compared to the OG work. It's a great homage though. p.s. The book has slow zombies though, it's an integral part of the overall story.

Fucking love this movie; now I can say it's my favorite zombie movie. Brad Pitt, you son of a bitch, saving the world again. Just his character and being very observant and thinking really smart, and just him having those good thinking skills, man, made me love this even more. Him face-to-face with that doctor zombie and walking right past those zombies like a badass—so sick. 4.9/5 🤘

2026-09-06 11:00 the part when he got the blood in his mouth and he was standing on the lead count—I thought that was just genius writing because that's what instantly came to my mind, just in case, to keep his family safe.

Thank you so much for the great reaction. I think I could survive TWD Zombies, but these guys are on a whole other level, I would simply die 💀. Agree with Mason Quinn & Oak an easy 5/5.

rebecca

you guys have to watch shaun of the dead next, it's another great zombie movie! 🙏

Violet

The South Park spoof of this movie is HILARIOUS!

Maisie

Does Answer not know about the actual Olympic massacre? Seemed like he thought the guy was talking about losing...

ZuZu

Maybe they should react to September 5 (2024).

as much as i want to like this movie, this is so much worse than the book it shares its name with (you can't even really claim it's based on the book, since they have so little in common). the book is an after the fact anthology series of interviews, gathered by a news reporter, documenting and dissecting how the world reacted to the outbreak, and how it affected people and changed certain things about the world (like reintegrating people back into society who survived by themselves for decades -or worse, children who grew up in all the chaos and never seen anything human shaped that didn't want to kill them -, or beaches all around being considered danger areas, since the zombies can't drown, meaning there could still be thousands of them down there in the ocean depths). it was such an interesting read that asked so many interesting questions about society and the human condition, and this is the movie we got. we got robbed of something that could have been truly special.

Jeff K.

Yep. They basically just bought the rights to the book to slap on a generic zombie movie. I mean, I liked this movie fine from an entertainment standpoint, but it was so disappointing as a big fan of the book because the title and the presence of zombies are literally the only things it has in common.

Bunnie

Yey! World War Z. Only zombie movie that I could watch over and over again without being scared shitless. I hate watching horror movies, but zombie movies I could get by and this one, even though it still has that scary factor, specially with the fast moving zombies, it's exhilarating, and the soundtrack is amazing. Plus Brad Pitt lol.

Jan T

Yay! Love this movie. Absolutely my favourite Zombie film. 🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️

Kyle

Whenever watching these type of movies or shows always makes me think of principal lewis in american dad "end of days b*****!!!

Kyle

Tolkien- F*** you Brad Pitt

Most realistic part of the movie: give a firearm to someone with no/minimal training, put them in a high stress situation, and it doesn't work out the way you might hope. I saw this movie in theaters, and most of the room erupted in shocked laughter when Dr. Fassbach slipped on the ramp.

hex1c

I knew Oak would hate that biting zombie in the end xD hahaha. It got to me as well the first time i saw this.

Megan

I love this movie! I love the way the zombies pile up like ants to get over the wall and I ESPECIALLY love that these are the only zombies/zombie outbreak I and my loved ones would actually survive. I remember getting into an argument about which zombie apocalypse would be worse and a guy was claiming this one. I'm like bro, clearly you didn't watch because they completely ignore anyone sick and you can easily eradicate them by getting temporarily sick (like the ending showed). No Walking Dead level of survival necessary. The two most memorable moments for me: When the Dr. shot himself, I and the entire theater laughed. And I will always hate his wife. That phone call will forever piss me off. I think the second movie has fully been filmed, it just apparently is never going to be released for some reason. Not sure why, I think it was supposed to be released this year or last year then got scrapped. At this point, I just wish someone would leak the film so it can at least be seen! And I love Oak's AOT jacket! I honestly love watching him become a genuine fan of the stuff he watches.

Knightmare

Most optimistic zombie movie ever 😂

Tom Murray

Yo Oak wearing the Wings of Freedom? Sick sweatshirt! Do you have the link for buying it?

Maisie

"I'll tell you what's NOT a dire situation...waking up next to Brad Pitt!" Omg Oak 😂

Vanessa

I hate that this isn’t like book. The book is AMAZING. Maybe HBO or Netflix will make a tv series out of it?

Knightmare

The zombies are sickkkk I wish more zombie media made them this scary 😭

Crispy

Lmao

Aria Isara

I'm also not a fan of horror movies but the zombie stuff for some reason I can watch just fine lol

DC950

Agreed!!! I thought the movie was just "ok" at best…ie it wasn’t bad but I didn’t think it was anything special. But I thought the book was awesome! And I could really see how it could be turned into a successful TV series....each of the book's stand alone chapters/sections seem ideally written for the kind of serialization you'd get with a TV show (especially from a production company like HBO or Netflix.....I know Netflix can strikeout at times....but at other times they can really hit it out of the park like with the shows directed by Mike Flannigan). I'd love to see the chapters from the "Great Panic" section of the book turned into multi part episodes.....or other chapters like the one about the Chinese attack sub...or the chapters covering the long/arduous multi-year campaign to liberate the continental US from the living-dead....Oh well...maybe someday the book will get the kind of epic treatment it deserves! For those who’ve only seen the movie but don’t feel like reading the book – try the unabridged version of the Audiobook (done with a full cast…sometimes that doesn’t work well in an Audiobook…but for WWZ it definitely did!)
