"flicking the V" is the equivalent of telling someone to Foxtrot Oscar, back of the hand facing out. Relatively mild these days. Santiago does it in E7, S2 of IWTV. The 'V' for victory/ peace, back of hand towards yourself is fine. Oh, and the offensive V sign, absolutely nothing to do with longbow men at Agincourt, whatever the internet tells you. As you were.

The book that Keves had in her bag was very thick, so he could tell the bag was now empty. Who ever killed them took the book. The Talamasca isn't MI6 or CIA. They mainly observe and keep track of supernatual beings. You should watch The Mayfair Witches after this show. The Mayfairs were mentioned in season one of Interview when Louis family was having breakfast.
