In my 36 years, I’ve never experienced or felt anything like what I felt during this episode. That one scene with the two of them kissing.. Phew, such a very strange feeling.

Anaïs

Kinda insane how Answer is trusting the hive this much

Pop n Lock

This episode was so uncomfortable lmao

How mason and Appleton oak going to talk over dialogue at the end then create a theory 😂😂 zosia literally explained what happened

The diner sequence is a reference to the film "Mulholland Drive". I didn't even catch it myself initially, until I saw somebody else point it out. Kepler-22, the star they reference, is a REAL star, and it does have at least one planet which is definitely within the star's habitable zone. There's nothing in the real world to indicate it has life (yet), but planets in the habitable zone of a star are more likely to have life than anything else. We learn in this episode that Zosia was Polish, and was originally from Gdańsk. This answered a big question that fans had been arguing about since the beginning. Karolina Wydra (the actress) is herself Polish, but we saw Zosia in Morocco before being sent to Carol after the Joining. People were arguing about whether the character was supposed to be Moroccan (And if so, why cast a Polish actress?), or if she was supposed to be Polish (And if so, why is she in Morocco?). Now we know that she IS Polish, but we still don't know why she was in Morocco. Was she just on vacation when the joining happened? Did she live in Morocco? Those questions are still out there. What i think is critical about so much of Zosia and Carol's interactions in this episode is that it really HAMMERED into me that even though the Hivemind doesn't "lie", it most DEFINITELY can manipulate/slant/present information in a way to get THEIR message across. You've already seen the next episode so it's not a spoiler, but everything we see with Zosia in this episode is an act. There is no Zosia anymore. This body is acting the way the Hivemind thinks Carol wants them to act. It's no more "real" than Diabate's James Bond roleplay we saw in Las Vegas. They're regurgitating Zosia's memory just like whenever they pick something out of Helen's memory, or anybody else throughout the world. But they want Carol to think it's "real", and they have Zosia's tone and body language and sentence structure all set to reinforce that belief. Even just switching from "we" to "I" is part of the roleplay. You guys fell for it just like Carol did. And I don't blame you.

Ah, thanks for uploading both episodes.

Yeah, Zosia and Carol, I saw that coming from a mile away. I mean, I don't really care about the relationship. but i guess good for Carol.

Did they forget when Carol took that drug and recorded herself and watched it and she said, "Why is that girl Zosia so goddamn fuckable?" and her appearance is based on a character in her book that she wrote as a man but was a woman. 😂

Knightmare

Carol.... don't fall for it sister 😭 it's propaganda. that lady is basically as good as a chatGPT girlfriend.

Eboe Thrasher

Yeah but, unlike AI, Zosia doesn't get things wrong, the knowledge of the world is at her synapse tips.

I do believe when they say that there are things that are experienced on a local level, like intoxication or sexual pleasure. Can you imagine if one person had an orgasm and the rest of the world felt it in the middle of whatever they were doing? At least it wouldn't be embarrassing because whoever someone was with feel it too. But it would still be distracting. And intoxication would truly impact the whole. I think it might be possible for them to sort of squeeze the pathways so that she can take all of Zosia into her and keep a connection to everything else but in a narrower band of connection. That would behoove them when communicating with what a podcast I watch calls "the unlicked" hah.

Crazy, right? Talking about just stop saying "we," not "I," but Carol, she is a "we"; she is not an individual person anymore. 😂🙄

Aria Isara

I'm nitpicking but to be honest it doesn't sit right with me that Carol slept with Zosia not knowing her sexual orientation. At least she could have asked if the real Sozia was into women. Supposedly she's trying to bring everyone back to normal so that's just wrong, what if the real Zosia is back and she is not into women ??! 😒 Any sexual interaction with anyone from the hivemind is highly questionable to begin with but even more so if the person from the hive doesn't even have (originally) the same sexual orientation. I still enjoy the show but I wish writers were more careful with the stuff they show and what it implies (countless fantasy shows have shown characters sleeping with another character while they were secretly shapeshifting as someone else or while they were possessed etc and it's never portrayed for what it is, basically r***). I'm expecting Carol to clash with Manousos in the last episode of the season. I believe that Zosia glitched at the end because she sort of confused herself by accessing the personal memories of that specific body (before that she only shared memories from other people), I was wondering from that start if someone's consciousness could try taking back their own body so I think this scene hinted at the possibility, or at least the fact the individual still exists inside the brain.

Aria Isara

Yeah it was obvious from the first scene they met lol. Carol is such a hypocrite though because she wants to bring everyone back to normal but she didn't even ask if the real Zosia would have possibly been interested in her, yet she agrees to have sex with her, when the real Zosia is supposedly still in there and cannot consent... That's messed up!
