Omg! I’ve been looking forward to this reaction for so long! It’s one of my favorite animated movies. Much more emotional that people expect. The scene when Louis almost sees his mom gets me every time!

LaLa

LFG!!!

Emily G

Yay! Please check out Peter Pan (2003) it’s another fantastic family/fantasy film. It is on the recommendation list ❤️

Anna

As someone who's adopted, I watched this movie one day not knowing what it was about. I had never seen it as a kid and only remembered the dinosaur from when the trailer first came out. Safe to say I was bawling my eyes out by the end. I love this movie so much and am happy you guys got to watch it as well. Edited to add that I think younger me would’ve loved to see this movie and have someone like Lewis to relate to. I love my Adoptive family but it would’ve been nice to see that the feelings of curiosity and longing to know my birth family were also valid and normal to have.

Kyra Brown

Underrated classic. I love this movie sm just the right amount of heartfelt and humor it’s so good 💯😭🥰

Kaley

I think my wife Lucille is baking cookies! 💃🏼🪩BAKE THEM COOKIES LUCILLE!💃🏼🪩

As a person who grew who in the system it hit me hard when lewis called franny mom on accident as I have done that so many times. He's a character I can relate to all to well and I'm happy to see you guys enjoyed it as much as a lot of others did growing up! 💙 edited: Something I want to add that I really didn't catch on to the last time I've watched this, is how this movie does good in showcasing how being in the system can affect you in different ways throughout one's life. Watching these characters (Lewis and Goob) at 24 going down two different paths really opened my eyes to how my life could have turned out if I did keep all that hurt and pain in and it breaks my heart because I know it is and was people who are going down the "direction" of Goob. (Sorry didn't mean for it to be long.)

fuyutyun

unironically one of my favorite movies ever - the message is just so so beautiful and really inspired me when i was having a rough go at life. so glad you guys got to see it!

Dillon

Asked for this reaction in a direct message like years ago So happy this day has finally come Much love BM Crew 🔥

Matthew Glover

Right there with you, spent over two years consecutively in the system away from home and really became a whole new person. i was 15 when i went and came home at 17. You learn alot about yourself and life in that time. You can hold onto alot of different emotions in both a healthy and unhealthy way. This was 15 years ago and im still working on letting some of that anger and resentment dicipate. I actually dont remember anything from this movie other than, "Big head little arms" lol. So im really excited to watch this with the boys. Keep your head up Kayya and live life the best way you know how. much love !!

Kayya Rainey

Much love to you too!🫶🏾

Kyle

Such an underrated Disney film!!

AllyBoo124

Love this movie so much it’s so much fun! Also another thing they do to throw you off is Lewis changes his name to Cornelius, so every time they mention Wilbur’s dad it’s a different name because he changed it after he got adopted

BecauseBeca

On Oak’s point, I saw this movie at 12 and definitely got the lesson. I think this movie is about a 12 year old and for 12 year olds.

ParkMinJeon

🤣 why does Oak ALWAYS bring up COCO after every animation movie they watch

Maisie

I don't know why but I've really never cared for this movie. I so wanted to like it but...it's so all over the place!

Esther K

We won, you guys! Thanks to all who voted for this movie! Didn't think it would win, but here we are! 🥳

Olive_Sandy

Same. It’s one movie I do not care for at all.

Bri

Yesss, my favorite version!

This movie changed my life when I was 12, I think I was the perfect age for it. It made me realize failing wasn’t the end of the world and for a kid who would cry at a B that meant the world. I don’t think the adults around me knew my inner struggle with my achievements and self worth as I hid it extremely well. I realized through this movie that trying is enough and ironically that changed my timeline in a way. Idk who I would be if I hadn’t watched this movie at the perfect time, now I’m the person teaching others that it’s ok to fail and that no matter what happens you just have to keep moving forward. This movie doesn’t hit with everyone but for those of us that needed it, it meant the world

Michael

Gotta say ive been watching you guy for a long time on youtube and just recently became a subscriber but man am i glad i did. Yall got some quality up in here with all the different links and or early access as well, its really helpful especially when im at work watching on my phone. Anyways, just wanted to say hey. This movie is great, sure its not the greatest thing ever, and in no way do i mean its bad because it is a fun ride and i love it. The heart it has is really simple and deep and portrayed really well. I think this movie can teach a child and hell even an adult many lessons if youre open to it. Just keep moving forward! Any who have a good day everyone, glad to be here and ill be sticking around. Lets goooooooo!

Dillon

I remember when I joined years ago They immediately put out one of my all time favorite movies, hacksaw ridge. Haven't left since. They're consistency is great!!!

Michael

Also after finishing the reaction and all the talk at the end..., yall need to watch DARK its a netflix original. Its a german show, it has a dub, but id say just watch it with subtitles the acting is great but the story is just wow! Yall will love it. If you havent seen it already that is.

Kaydee

i relate to you! i also watched this when i was like 11 or 12 and changed my perspective as a child achiever. it still is my favorite movie of all time~

Ivan Rasmussen

I'm not sure if these animated films are on your list, but you should definitely watch them at some point! 9 (movie), Book of Life, and Robots. I think you'd enjoy them!

Fabby

This was Disney’s third computer animated movie when they started leaving hand drawn animation 🥲 they made Dinosaur Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons wanting to compete with themselves (Pixar) and I think that’s why it didn’t do well in theaters, this movie was made in the Post-Renaissance/experimental era, yes Disney animation has Eras: the Golden Age (1937-1942), moving through wartime/package films, the Silver Age (1950s), the Bronze Age/Dark Ages (1970s-80s), the iconic Renaissance (1989-1999), the Post-Renaissance/Experimental Era (late '90s-mid 2000s), and the current Revival/Streaming Era (2009-Present), so this is when Disney started going down but not for long because they made Princess and the Frog (the last hand drawn movie) and Tangled going up again. Thank you guys for the reaction, this was the second time watching the movie, I watched it in the theater when it came out with my 3 yo daughter and was pregnant with my son, because this movie is in the experimental era I didn’t like the style of animation they did that’s why I never watched the movie again until now, again thanks for the reaction you really are my favorite reactors because you all are the best,

Lauren

I was going to say the same thing thing! I am watching it currently and think it would make for an excellent reaction!

Lauren

I’m going to echo other comments that if you’re looking for a time-travel show, watch DARK on Netflix. It’s such an epic show!

Stacey

One my favourite Disney films 🥰

Michael

Its goooooood and its complete, not some long drawn out show! Love it. Definitely overlooked.

Alanna Meyers 🍌

It won the poll so enough people voted for it. People wanted it for a long time

Aubrey

I had never seen this movie before, but it was better than I was expecting! Oak was questioning why it wasn't as popular as some of the other animated films of the time, and this is my take: A) Because the main character is 12, it's not a musical, and the themes are most relatable for pre-teens, I think it kind of missed the younger crowd. My daughter was almost 4 when it came out, and it definitely did not pique her interest. B) 2007 was an insanely stacked year for movies (man, I miss those days), so it had stiff competition--including Bridge to Terabithia, which was released just a few weeks before, and Harry Potter and Order of the Phoenix, which was released just a few weeks after. I bet it was so fun for kids in that age-range, though, and I'm bummed it didn't reemerge on our radar a few years down the road.

Something quite funny is that in the dubbed version they change the "Tom Selleck" joke acordingly to the voice actor. So they casted regional 80's heartthrobs acording to the lenguage. They also change the short with the portrait to show the actor. Here in México it's José Luis Rodriquez (nickednamed "El Puma" ) and i tell you parents LOVE that joke

Curtis Rice

Saw this when I was in elementary school and have loved it since. My first movie I saw with time travel. I was more of a nerd/geek maybe that's why it appealed to me.

Ginger

I really like this movie. Tried showing it to my two nieces. The older one enjoyed it. The younger one refused to watch it because it was about boys. 😛

Kayla

Early 2000 Disney movies were each unique and had something special about them. Also they are incredibly underrated films. My favorites is Dinosaur, Lilo and Stitch(yes stitch grew in popularity but he is the exception), Treasure Planet(admittedly i only saw it on DVD/VCR as I went to see Chamber of the Secrets), and Brother Bear. Surprised Mr Meme King didnt catch the they all hated me and the trex memes. Even the dog’s contacts was out for a while.
