You're welcome, everyone, I decided to bite my tongue and not make the incredibly crass joke that just popped into my head when I got four notifications all at the same time for Badd Medicine uploads.

Liam

Holy crap that was fast. This film released today?

Jeff K.

I'm very curious to see it, and now I'm trying to decide whether to watch it on my own or with the guys so that I can see their reaction to Steven Yeun popping up (no idea if they knew he was in it beforehand).

Dana Sow

Damn yall be working. I can’t wait to watch.

Cristy

Yessssss! Can't wait to watch.

Chris Retzlaff

My computer is stubborn...but the link sends me to Meet the Robinsons....stupid computer

dreams⁷

Just say mattfleck and I'll be sat! Letsgoo!!

Arudorin

I just paused the movie to comment and say Scott Adkins is an underrated actor!

Anthony Velasquez

Really solid movie very much enjoyed this one this movie had boom or bust potential glad it delivered 4/5 for me

Monica

Is it just me or anyone else disappointed by the movie? I love the teaser and the set up. But about half way through, I realized this movie doesn't know what it wants to do. *Note I haven't watched the reaction yet, so I don't know what score the guys gave it*.

Jeff K.

Along the lines of (with four uploads dropping all at once), "Man, Diamond Dave is out here just dropping a big load on all of us!" I'm not proud of myself.

Matthew Glover

Im really curious to see if theres any information out there about the real events that inspired this, and how accurate or innaccurate it was to the real thing. I loved this movie. I thought they did a great job at making the audience question everything, and question who to trust. The only person i was sure about the whole time was Ben Affleck. It wouldve been too on the nose and obvious if he was the dirty one just because his lover was murdered. The entire cast did a incredible job and really made their characters believable. The build up was incredible,so many twists and turns in such a short amount of time. This was just so much fun and ill 100% be rewatching this a few times. 5/5 for me!!

Matthew Glover

Desi wasnt going to let anything happen to Wilbur, she wouldve taken out the entire cast to make sure that doesnt happen lol They picked such a cute dog

Anthony Velasquez

Is it just me or did the actress that played Desi remind anyone else of a youg Carla Gugino? She reminded of her so much I was questioning if she was related to Carla Gugino in any way

Matthew Glover

Also, seeing as how you guys loved this..i think you would all really enjoy "Triple Frontier". Also starring Ben Affleck,as well as a group of actors you all really love !!! Its from 2019,not sure if any of you guys have seen it. Im going to reccomend it on the website

Shannon

Enjoyed this so much more than I thought I would! I was expecting an action/heist kind of movie (which I don’t tend to enjoy), so glad it was suspense/thriller vibes instead 🙌

Kalkent

There’ve been plenty of movies where the script tries to be too clever for its own good - the kind where you finish it thinking, wait… that doesn’t add up, or why would that character even do that if they knew what was going on? Luckily, The Rip doesn’t fall into that trap. It’s smart without being smug, and it actually manages to untangle the web it spins instead of collapsing under it. Strong performances across the board, tight screenplay, good cadence that never takes the foot of the pedal, tension and mystery synced well, digestible twists - surprising without feeling cheap. Overall, it’s just a really solid, enjoyable watch. Nothing pretentious, nothing overly convoluted - just a well-made thriller that knows what it’s doing and executes it confidently. 3.7 Answers.

I disagree in that I felt the movie never derailed from its core - it would've been prevalent had there been a significant shift in pacing or if subplots were spawning left and right just to keep the viewer guessing, but I can definitely see where you're coming from as well if you felt it got too muddy. Like for me a bad version of this movie was the Tom Hardy starring, Gareth Evans directed Havoc. Did you see it?

Kalkent

He really is. Guy had - still does - the potential to be the next big action star.

Monica

I did see Havoc, at least that had fun action and fight scenes. I just wasn't expecting this film to be mostly a bottle film. Movies like these I prefer a straight forward story, not the twists and turns they threw in the third act.

Bloop

Why this read like its been put thru chagpt😭😭

Aubrey

I'm going to preface this by saying that I generally avoid cop movies, and I'm not a huge fan of Ben Affleck. However, I'd heard good things about the movie, the boys were reviewing it, and I like the deal that Matt and Ben negotiated with Netflix to pay their cast and crew, so I wanted to support it in hopes that it'll help pave the way for how the industry pays out royalties in the future. I spent the first 50 minutes annoyed by the complete disregard for how police would have to actually handle this type of situation, but I'll come back to that. Once we got into the meat and potatoes of the movie, it was a little easier to suspend belief and just enjoy the ride. I have to admit that I really liked Ben's character. I did guess most of the plot twists, except for one, but it was still fun to watch them explain everything and then see how the rest would play out. Overall, would I watch it again? No, but I loved that it honored a real LEO and his son. Once I read up on the actual case, I understood why they had to avoid the things that were pissing me off in the beginning. The part about seizing a stupid amount of money and having to count it on scene was true, but the part with the corrupt cops was not. I understand how melding those two together would be difficult. I appreciate the film for all of the wonderful things surrounding it, and I hope it does well.

Aubrey

And by royalties, I mean residuals 😅

Kalkent

I…..take that as a huge compliment. I’ve made a habit since the beginning of 2025 to write my reviews in an extensively formal manner. I have a folder of them - divided into categories of old and new movies.

k43t

you guys need to watch Tripler Frontier after this one! similar vibe! very good

Karissa M

Great reaction guys! I ended up enjoying this so much more than I expected. Side note, if you want to see Steven Yeun in something a little different than his usual roles, similar to how you felt about him in this one, please check out BEEF (2023). The new season comes out in April (with a new cast but I still have high hopes) and I think you guys would REALLY enjoy it…it’s quite the ride.

Nina

Yes!

Gambit3838

For another amazing Netflix movie, I need yall to check out The Old Guard 2 which came out last year. Stars Charlize Theron.

Lauren

I LOVED that series!

Lauren

Speaking of Kyle Chandler, did anyone watch Early Edition? It was about a guy who got the newspaper a day early and used it to help people. I used to watch that show in the 90s. He was great in it!
