They had to rewrite and reshoot episode 7 and 8 after cutting out Hyun-ju due to the actress's legal trouble she had right before the show first aired. They couldn't cut her out starting from episode 1 for the sake of the story so they kept her character in until episode 6. You'll notice she's not even in the opening credits. I don't agree with their decision for doing this and could've just kept her in the original finale but I understand why they did so. But still think it worked out well enough for the show with the time-jump added to the story despite having to redo 7 and 8 in such a short time before airing. You may also notice that both male leads bulked up more than they were in episode 1 when they returned for the reshoot. Anyway I'm glad you all finally got to this one and enjoyed it! :D

1:29:00 I completely agree with Dave. Thats the thing the impact of episode 6, the loss, was just too big and it made the ending not feel as satisfying for me personally because the only thing that would've made it even for me wouldve been taking them out. If they were going to essentially let them get away in a sense, they shouldnt have taken out the grandpa, the knife guy, AND the motorcycle guy. Either less loss and same ending, or keep episode 6 the way it was but the ending shouldve been the bad guys being taken out. Just my opinion though, of course. I think episodes 1-5 are fantastic, but the shift in episode 6 and the last two eps is where they lose me a little bit

I think Episode 6 is a 10/10 episode that left our expectations really high but that doesn't mean that eps 7 and 8 are bad. I think the writers managed to keep the pace even with Kim Sae Ron being kicked out of the show so suddenly by the pressure of the Korean press because of her DUI incident (poor girl, she didn't deserve the amount of hate she received, they were too harsh on her and , her last years living were so incredibly sad, everyone around her failed her and pushed her to take her own life, but that's a story for another time). I've always wondered how the final two episodes would've turned out if Hyunju was still there with the boys. I mean I like the archer girl but she just reminds me of Hyunju's absence. But yeah, Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi (Gunwoo and Woojin) did an amazing job considering the fact they had to reshoot a a lot of things to salvage those two episodes. I'll definitely wait for season 2

The fight scenes in this show are so impressively done, every punch/kick looks so authentic, it really does look like it actually hurts (cool hearing the shows theme during scenes too) & we got our very own Daryl Dixon with Da-Min, she's a badass with that bow! & Jake Hager....oops I mean In-Beom gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "cat got your tongue" liked your reactions to laughing scene after he gives them the info & WHERE he put that arrow during interrogation scene & the tech girl taken out by the truck got me too! was such an unexpected way for her to go! also LOVE the side looks Quinn/Answer give Oak as soon as they see the containment shipyard hehe (great GTA memories) & yay for the Shield pose too! & now they can FINALLY treat themselves to some rib eye with the money, I bet that's the 1st scene we see in Season 2, gotta start off with a positive tone before all the chaos begins again. thoroughly enjoyed this show & can't wait to watch next season with ya! ❤️

So I'm not sure if this has been mentioned to you guys before or not, but in Korea guns are mostly prohibited unless you are like in the military or police for force. That's why most shows where you see "mob/gang" like members they usually have knives or bats. Its actually more realistic for Korean culture to see these as they are more accessible, so they are more wildly used. Mr. Choi having a gun is more of an anomaly than the pipes/bats/knives.

Loved this season! I'm excited for 2nd season too! Rain is going to be the big bad next season. He's a singer/actor and known for being one of the most fit celebrities in Korea. I'm not a big fan of his music but I've seen some of his dramas. They're decent and this will be the first time he's playing a villain.

I love how woo-jin won his fight with beom. As shown throughout the show, woo-jin absolutely has the highest endurance of anyone else. And his final fight was one of attrition. Gun-woo is undebatedly stronger and can hit beom with power enough to defeat him, but woo-jin is faster and wore him down with many hits while enduring punishment

Unfortunately, we will not see the granddaughter next season. Actress Kim sae-ron passed away last year and few months into filming the second season. I heard they wanted her back but due to many allegations and the actions of her agency, she was forced to quit and get part- time job to be able to pay the debts she owed her agency. That girl deserved so much better from her agency and her partner. I just hope justice is served. I definitely hope you guys watch season 2. I recommend "Welcome to Samdal-ri" it's a comedy/feel-good but an actual good watch.

I don't think she was kicked off, more like she was forced to quit by her company (Kim so Hyun), from what I heard the cast and producers wanted her back for season 2 but unfortunately, we know what happened. May she Rest In Peace.

But WooJin is very underrated as he kept him grounded and gave him the positivity that even the most positive can lose in those situations. “We just have to find our way back.” Keep hold of friends like that, who will bring you back to your core.

My view of him looking at the knuckles was him realizing what he just said - that he would actually kill someone… and he saw the blood on his knuckles, which then hit him that he’s become a bloodhound.
