Jordan is a confident being like Oak said. I don’t see it as cocky at all. She’s a black woman in a predominantly white space so she has to have her shit together because of the pressure that’s put on women like her. Great job at explaining that Oak. Great reaction y’all 🤍

Funny enough, the cast in real life is halfway or more to 60 haha. But I agree with Oak, the cast is usually not the same age as the characters in real life. Morris Chestnut is currently 57 so during the time of the show he was 54 years old. So is Sanaa, Terrence, Nia, Regina, and Taye who are almost 60 during the time of filming. But I do believe their characters are 40s. Loved this reaction! We are really in it now! First two episodes are fun but from now on fun and more.

@28:22 what is answer talking about? "is he getting a little crush" My love, you read that all wrong. 🤨😂

When Robin and Harper were arguing, they were saying, "MY DAUGHTER," not "OUR DAUGHTER." Yep, starting to see the cracks.

I did initially find the new Shelby very off-putting and inauthentic. But it truly is a version of Shelby that existed. Go back to the first movie and you will see a jarring shift between how she's portrayed in the first movie and the second movie. In the first movie she is much more like Shelby you see on the talk show she's on now. I think they may have made a shift in her character from the first movie to the second movie to figure out a way to give her character more depth and more purpose in that movie. But now they are getting back to who Shelby was before the 2nd movie makeover. More sophisticated. I just think they went a little too hard with the thick glasses and suit. It reminded me of what Jenny McCarthy did when she became a cohost on the View. All of a sudden Jenny McCarthy is wearing glasses lol to look smarter and more serious. As for Jordan, I agree with Dave that for me she's less likable in the series. It seemed out of character for her to be so rude to the waiter in the first episode and in this environment, her confidence is to be expected but becomes a little off-putting. But I do like it because it set her up to be knocked down a peg or two by being dragged all over social media. And once again Oak is correct that black women have to move differently in these type of spaces. So I'm glad you appreciate that with her. Women, especially black women, are viewed differently in these spaces.

By the way, if I know Oak.. LJ storyline is gonna have him a mess by the end.

Lance going back to coach? No, he meant going back to play. That's why it was made for the end of the episode to be a cliffhanger. If he wanted to do coaching, it wouldn't be that surprising. Okay, that's what he wants to do. But going back and playing on the field—no, they did that on purpose because him going back to play is...😬

Skrappy

The man who plays Sidneys dad on The Bear directed this episode. And Lance's son.....well that's a whole other situation right there 😂😂😂😂
