I was not ready for how bad and annoying Gyutaro voice was going to be in Dub lord,even Tengen voice is bad in Dub but it is what it is. They wanted to watch like this so gotta respect that,peak fights from here on out.

The sub is so much better overall, especially for the new demon that just arrived. Maybe, if you're curious, you could watch episodes 16, 17, & 18 in sub since that's the last 3 ep for this season.

Its not the subtitles themselves its literally the fact it's the Dub you're missing things. They change words and certain things to fit the animation of the mouth movements. Sub is just such a more enjoyable and complete journey

Regardless of what you guys say, I still think Gyutaro and Daki are good upper rank demons. This arc was so cool because of them. You haven't seen anything yet, we just started the fight. They're a really good match to Tengen. Forget about all the other Demons you have met before this. And they're just Upper Six. Because they are two, they have to be defeated with more than 1 Hashira. Imagine the other Upper rank Demon and you met Upper 3.

Gyutaro is my second favorite demon after Rui, so it’s pretty annoying lol the VA sounds like he’s trying too hard to replicate what the original was doing, all while failing miserably.

I do recommend watching the last 3 episodes together. The visuals/animation are so good in these last three episodes and this whole series tbh... I also can't wait for the 3rd season! Hopefully you guys will consider switching to sub starting next season, if not that's fine too.

I like sub better but I don't think they should switch. It'll be like re-learning all the characters and they'll likely lose some of the attachment they have to them.

i personally never had an issue with gyutaro talking, it was always tanjiro's dialogue that bothered me. gyutaro is probably my favorite demon alongside Akaza that upper 3 you already met. he's so cool!

I actually like Gyutaro too — I’ve always found him really interesting. Sure, some nuances can shift between sub and dub, but that shouldn’t take away from experiencing what Demon Slayer truly is or from having a genuinely enjoyable reaction. Just a gentle reminder that Badd Medicine are reacting to what they’re actually watching, rather than a hypothetical ideal version. I’ve seen both the original Japanese version and the dub, and honestly, I enjoy them both. 🧡

The nonstop talking from the siblings in episode 15 has been a bit rough 😭 it doesn't matter if its dub or sub, both of those versions are frustrating for me in this episode. I am really grateful you are reacting to more anime and I am really sorry if you feel pressured by the constant nagging regarding the sub vs dub arguments. I really hope you stick to what your prefer and enjoy! I know it's been brought up every single time you guys release anything anime related so I wanna give back yall some positivity. How so? How would they lose attachments to the characters? That just doesn't make any sense. All because if they switch to sub? If anything the dub is , what will take them out because of how cringy, annoying and bad the voice acting could be. And yes I know, not all dub is like that, of course.

They have said over and over and over and over again that they like the dub, man. It's that simple. They like the voice acting. It doesn't need to be a conversation anymore. They said the next anime they watch (likely JJK) will be subbed, so just chill out.

I have watched both sub & dub of Demon Slayer and some of you sub purists in the comments are SO melodramatic, man. Go back and look at AOT, which they watched in sub, and you will see that, apart from one episode, dub watchers got over it and moved on. You guys may want to try it.

oh yeah definitely. a lot of shounens especially will slow down the pace of a fight with internal dialogue but sometimes it can get too much and i've noticed it's probably the most annoying in kny from what ive seen LOL

i'm a sub purist and have only ever watched 3 animes dubbed but the comments are very annoying! they're very clear about their sub-dub-sub-dub switch off that they're gonna do with anime

There are so many talks in this because animating fights is expensive so they try to balance it with little moving dialog scenes.

Hopefully not JJK, because if the next anime is gonna be sub, then it has to be Vinland Saga. That one, absolutely 100%, cannot be in dub. The dialogue is just too important. So if they’re switching between dub and sub every other anime, Vinland at least has to be one of the subs

Just my personal opinion but switching languages 3 seasons in would be really jarring for me. I’ve gotten used to the dub voices and don’t actually dislike it compared to other older dubs in anime out there. I watch lots of anime in sub yet I fear that there will be an argument to change any dub to sub like on every other reaction channel i’ve watched. I actually enjoy the flip flop of dub and sub when going to the next anime but maybe that’s just me. Choose what ya’lls heart desires ofc

Really liked what Oak said here — that Demon Slayer gives the demons distinct personalities on purpose, which adds layers and depth to the story. Some of them are meant to be annoying, and that contrast actually makes the world-building richer. 👍✨

Also, quick fun note - Zenitsu’s little “bubble” isn’t meant to be snot 😄 It’s a classic anime shorthand for being completely asleep/unconscious. And I loved seeing Rengoku’s wig on the box -- it really feels like his spirit is still in the room with you guys. 🧡🔥

this whole dub vs sub is so ridiculous. one of the reasons i’m glad they’re not an anime only channel. i’ve been here since harry potter & i never even thought they would touch anime. was happy that they gave it a chance but the community can get so toxic.

I'll be honest you guys are never gonna hear the end of the sub vs dub debate because the anime community is full of weirdos who don't realize anime sounds cringe in Japanese too. I guess the degree of separation in being able to understand what they're saying is why they pretend the english is so much worse but most of the time the dub (especially these days) is pretty good and really just depends on what people grew up watching whether they care or not. I mean they do this for stuff that was written in english to begin with too. KPOP demon hunters even has people who complain about "dub" and the movie was literally written in english lol. Just go with what you want to. Personally I like a lot of the english dub for Demon Slayer and I think Gyutaro and Daki did a really good job capturing the whiny voice the jp version does as well. I tend to prefer dub if only because I like to multitask and that's easier to follow along with in the background but there's definitely things I like in sub as well. I just don't care that much either way because it's never that bad. Sidenote I'd prefer you guys stay with crunchy roll as that's easier to sync, seems the Disney version has extra scenes at the beginning so the times don't match. If not I'll live but figured I'd mention since you asked if that's okay.
