If I had to do a ranking off the top of my head I would probably say 2, 5, 3, 4, 1 - but I don't think this franchise has ever had a bad entry, Lightyear excluded haha. Definitely one of the most consistent for animated movies at least.

What I love about these movies is there's always something to take away no matter what age you are. I'm 32, so I've been watching this franchise ever since I can remember, and the way these rewatches have resonated even more now as an adult is incredible. With this movie in particular, even though I wasn't part of the generation that played with these kiddie tablets, the technology aspect was a really great way to show how much it's changed how people interact, what constitutes actually creating meaningful friendships versus using the Lilypad or similar devices that inevitably reduce one's imagination for playtime and other things. I like how they showed Bonnie's parents being hesitant at first, then eventually using devices of their own and not noticing how much their daughter has become hooked to her new toy, a reality all too familiar for parents and kids these days. Finally, as an introverted kid that just needed a little push or the right people to bring me out of my shell, watching Bonnie's journey was very relatable, and I hope it helps kids who also might feel the same! I think it was a smart choice for them to continue her shyness from the previous movies to now, because sometimes it really does take awhile for people to open up or be comfortable. While Andy seemed confident and totally fine playing on his own, Bonnie's shyness just added an extra layer that I think was important to show for both kids and parents watching on how to navigate that. Not sure if there will be more movies in the future but I'm sure they'll find another clever way to capture our hearts again!

Man, this one was such a banger. So my final rankings of the franchise goes 2, 1, 5, 3, and then 4. Such a great story here and a great way to modernize the toys point of views for this day and age. Now this is a rare occasion in which I watched 2 movie reaction from the guys, back to back, and both movies had me cry. Gonna need to watch something that'll really hurt my gut with laughter lol, Santa Clause 2 here I come (mq losing it when Chet arrives is hands down my favorite reaction in all of Badd Medicine history lol). Anyways, great movie and a great reaction guys. Not gonna lie, I was worried when I heard Woody wasn't the lead but Jessie absolutely nailed it out of the park. 5/5 for me and it absolutely deserved the $1B+ earning at the box office.

Quinn's reactions to the technology in this movie was great! 😂 I bet 'Dr Nutcase' be his favourite hehe. Quite a realistic depiction of modern day society, they make you think it's LilyPad's the villain, when it's really Bonnie's so called 'Friends' Cyber Bullying is a real problem these days, probably even worse than bullying in Person, I've even experienced that in my adult life too. Liked the animation switch between 'Real Life'/'Playing Life' nothing beats the innocent imagination of a Child. Yay for the Detroit Become Human reference & the M'Lady too ^_^ Agree the facial expressions on Bullseye were great (as were your reactions) "Double AA Team" haha & wasn't expecting a Bridgerton animation here, great stuff with you guys. 💚💙 (Also was cool seeing Quinn show off his Bracelets from seeing it in post credits) :)

Feels like Dave was unnecessarily harsh in this one. Lillypad and the parents did nothing wrong. Yes it’s normal for kids to be in group chats (and it’s specified that the chat was created by the children’s parents). I’m born in 02’ the last few years where kids “went outside and played” and we had a group chat around 12-13 years old so I can imagine in 2026 kids would start texting a lot earlier. It’s not Lillypad’s fault that Bonnie didn’t connect with the girls in her dance class, which was the best first attempt at making friends compared to some random kids across the street. Realistically as a kid nowadays if you’re not on some device, you’ll be behind most of your peers. You won’t understand certain inside jokes, viral videos, streamers, influencers etc. I think the parents did a great job at helping her open up and immediately deleting the chat. They should be applauded not chastised. You’d be surprised how many kids are cyberbullied for years and suffer in silence. A lot of parents are quick to write it off as “mood swings” and “teen angst,” and are completely oblivious to their children struggling to connect with others.

I grew up with Toy Story, I was 19 when 3 came out and it hit me hard. 1-3 is the perfect trilogy, I'm glad that 4 and 5 are good too but this movie just makes me nostalgic-ly sad. 😭 You guys should definitely watch Small Soldiers.

Easily the worst entry in the franchise. Joan's VA for Jessie is really bad compared to the other 'older' actors (Tom & Tim still sound exactly the same as the first); she sounds like she's had mouth surgery or something. Then the story - the tech part was good, but focusing so much on Jessie and hardly even including Woody was a choice for sure. I like the parts addressing bullying, but overall it could (and should) have been a more 'fun' film (even TS3's dark story/villain felt more lighthearted than this, and that's saying something). This one definitely made me appreciate the fourth one way more.

I'll be very honest here...I had such high expectations since I love this franchise so much but man I did not like this one. It felt like all of the main toys lost their personalities? Idk it felt like Jessie and Woody were so serious this time lol idk maybe I'm being too harsh for a kids movie LOL I just didn't find it had the same magic as the others. The main toys were so ....boring?

Toy story 5 has the second largest animated opening weekend in history. Which I think for the 5th movie in a franchise that started in 95 is incredible

I've had so much fun watching these each week. Like Answer, I think 3 might be my favorite, but as the mom of a 23 year old who graduated university last year, Jessie's line about growing up was instant tears for me. It seems like you have forever when they're little, but those 18 birthdays, vacations, Christmases--they happen faster than you can ever imagine.

Ive never wanted to hug an animated movie character so much in my life,Bonnie was breaking my heart the whole movie!! =( Felt so bad for her but i could see where they were going with the story early on and figured her and Blaze would become best friends. This was such a good movie,i had no expectations,i only knew it was about technology in some way. So this really impressed me!! Heres hoping we continue to get more Toy Story in the future.
