Lanterns* 😂😂👍

Mintteacup

Glad to see Oak. Once again love the episode, I just want more constructs

Anthony Gonz

I feel like there has to be more to the hospital being empty, kinda curious if the show will go back to that later.

Martian Manhunter was great in the Justice Animation series in the early 2000s

I'm Batman

The way the Manhunters were being described it has me thinking heavily that they aren't describing Martian Manhunter and his species but a different species of Martians. I won't say which one but a hint would be this, there's a character in the Superman movie that is part of Lex's workers in the pocket dimension. Many people thought this being was what I'm eluding to. Somehow I believe these beings are gonna end up being the villain(s) of this show. Anyways, another great episode, just wish we had more constructs in this episode.

I'm Batman

Same, just felt super staged to me.

Arudorin

I agreed with y'all about Zoe. She's a strong candidate for being the manhunter, but it's probably a misdirection. That pocket dimension had been mentioned and even shown as different in Peacemaker and Superman 2025.

There was a very obvious reason why Hal did not bring the lantern, maybe you forgot. he flew as soon as he heard 'There is hail in Nebraska'. Did you want him to ignore that and go home to get his lantern?

2026-09-06 11:00 My time to shine with my DC knowledge?! Hal’s password ‘Mogo doesn’t socialize’ is in reference to a story by Alan Moore where we’re introduced to a Green Lantern names Mogo… who is literally an entire sentient planet. He doesn’t socialize because he can’t really leave orbit because… he’s a planet. But he’s one of the most powerful Green Lanterns there is, and he appears to help when things are getting out of hand. Manhunters are the original police force that the Guardians made to watch over the galaxy. Eventually they turned on the Guardians and they had to be stopped. The Guardians then decided hey, we don’t like it when the machines turned on us, so they created the Green Lantern Corps, believing that actual beings with thought would be better than just robots. Manhunters are in no relation to the Martian Manhunter, who is a green Martian who just goes by that name. Sinestro was Hal Jordan’s teacher, and the one who trained basically all the Lanterns in combat. So he’s a rogue drill instructor who ended up thinking the Guardians were weak and turned on them. He famously obtained a Yellow Ring, which unlike the Green Rings that use willpower to make constructs, the Yellow Rings work if the user is able to ellicit great fear. Funny enough, a yellow ring once found its way to Batman, who it deemed was incredibly worthy to wield it since Batman is Batman and scares the living crap out of everyone. Batman turned it down. Really enjoying the reactions, and as a longtime DC fan, there’s some stuff I like and don’t like, but I do like that it’s a detective story. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Look up ‘Mogo, the Living Planet’ for some laughs. Manhunters are the original robot police force that the Guardians made to watch over the galaxy. That’s bad because he knows all the GL Corps strengths and weaknesses. Also, the Green Lantern Oath is not necessarily required to be said to actually charge the ring. The rings can get fully charged in around 7-ish seconds, so just to make sure that they don’t stop charging too soon, they say the Oath as basically a ‘timer’ to know when they can take the ring away from the battery. It just sounds cool so they always say it. Really enjoying the reactions, and as a longtime DC fan, there’s some stuff I like and don’t like, but I do like that it’s a detective story. Bryan

really enjoying this show.. granny is the manhunter for sure imo 🤣

mdl

John being able to maintain that construct of that super intricate bird without even wearing the ring was kind of crazy. I really enjoy how each Lanterns personality sort of affects how they use their powers. I don't think Guy Gardner from Superman would ever create a bird like that. Hal's home being totally empty besides a bed kind of shows who he is too. He's got no life outside of his job as Green Lantern.

mdl

Thank you for clarifying Manhunters vs Martian Manhunter. Sometimes it can get confusing for sure.

Sharrod Wolf

As soon as Hal got Halogram message from John he literally flew off, he didn’t think of the lantern until he needed it

ElmSt Reactions

Oh no not they god damn white men again 🙄. I was thinking the sheriff but good shout on zoe

Marie RammGirl

Answer's "Bird Blind" comment got me 😂 (Peacemaker for anyone unaware of reference) Also Liked Quinn's 'Breaking ZipTie' impression ;) I'm definitely getting suspicious vibes from Zoe, certain things just seem too much of a coincidence & I'm also curious about that empty Hospital, hopefully we get more info on that in future Eps. That was visually cool John reaching into the storage box to retrieve the Lantern & glad we got the famous phrase from Hal when charging up Lantern & he did a Barney Stinson & 'Suited Up!" hehe.

Madden

He didn't bring the lantern with him because he's hal jordan

Seelia

I liked the movie version but I'm in the minority. I don't care that it didn't follow the comics, it made sense to me and at least got me interested in the Green Lantern's story. I personally think the pace of the show is too slow. I'll wait til you guys finish the season to binge.

I'm Batman

I'm so stupid, I was suspecting the white martians to be the villains of this show because they kept on telling John about Manhunters. But I completely forgot the Manhunters were the first policing force created by the guardians, before the green lanterns. They even appeared in the Justice League animated series. Yeah, I feel pretty dumb at this moment. So there goes my first theory out the window

I'm Batman

This right here, I was so confident in my theory by the way John was being told about the Manhunters but I completely forgot about the original Manhunters being created by the Guardians. Threw my original theory right out the window lol.
